Okay, idk why these girls only got 2 stars but I'm here to shout out them out!! I came in after visiting 5 different stores finding something for a wedding and with every single member working today (10/11/24) they helped me pieces together. I left still uncertain and not in love with everything but I came home and put everything together with the proper shoes & accessories and may I just say SLAY CHEF's KISS!! These girls are definitely GIRL'S GIRLS and I'm here for it!!! Thank you all so very much for helping me out today even with my doubts. It is nice not having to drive all the way to Dallas for a store. Every time I go in the sales clerks are always friendly & helpful.

I was in this area and had some sort of reward to use so decided to hop in to use it while waiting for my oldest to be done with her activities. They have and use their space at this location much better than the two locations I'm used too In Grapevine and Hurst. It was easier to look around in clearance and the store felt a lot brighter than other locations. The downfall to this location is staff. Both employees stayed behind the counter talking personal stuff not really doing anything. Which I guess if they didn't have anything to do I could see that if it was another store ... though I've been to other locations where even when they are not busy with customers they keep themselves busy not just standing around talking personal business. So good employees at other locations always on floor restocking, helping customers or even if both are behind the counter they are both checking people out ... or one is getting items ready to put out ... sets the standard high which is why them standing around not working is odd here. But anyway came in, used my reward, and I'll stick to the ones closer to me even though this one is more spacious. read more

Shout out to Steph @the Hulen Mall Torrid. I needed a nice black dress for tonight's event. The only ones I could find ASAP were at Macy's and like $100+. I found one on Torrid that said it was available in stores that was $60, but when I called she advised me it wasn't there or at any nearby stores. She then took the time, went to the clearance rack, and found the only 3 nice black dresses in my size they had in the store. Then she gave me the numbers of the 3 so I could look them up online. One of them was perfect and on clearance for $45. I asked her to hold it. She went so over and beyond I really appreciated it. She could've just said they didn't have it. I would've ran around frantically and probably spent a lot more. read more

Used to be an amazing store that had a lot of clothing that my wife loved. Lately in the last year it has severely fallen off both in stock and especially in staff. The manager CJ has a chip on her shoulder that never seems to go away and is generally one of the most unpleasant people I've had the displeasure of dealing with. She is rude and supremely unhelpful. I also believe that she is the reason that some of the previous good staff left. I think corporate would do well to completely wipe the slate and start over at this location. read more

I went into the Hulen location and was looking for a specific thing- A swim suit top. I am a rather large busted woman and many recommended me to Torrid. I checked out their website and liked their styles so I thought I would take a chance. I arrived to the store about 40 minutes before they closed (they close at 6 while the mall stays open until 9). As I entered, I noticed a customer service rep was putting clothes back on the racks while several other ladies were at the check out counter. I walked up to a customer service rep and asked her if she could direct me to the swim suit tops. "Ma'am, do you have a mask? They have to be worn while shopping." She said this rather rudely! I did, I just forgot to put it on (this was before masks were mandated for all businesses in the area) I apologized and put my mask on immediately and then asked again. "Can you please direct me to the swim suits? She just pointed and said they were in the middle of the store. She didn't take me to them, she didn't ask if I needed any help- absolutely no customer service skills! She just kept hanging up her stack of clothes and ignored me. So I went to "the middle of the store" and their lack of selection is just appalling. Most of their sizes were 14 and 16... for a PLUS SIZED women's clothing store, there was very little PLUS SIZED options to chose from. I went through the small selection they had and started to walk around, just waiting for someone to help me. There were three ladies - yes THREE LADIES... at the check out counter and NO ONE offered me any help. I mean- y'all are just talking about your personal lives and standing around- the least you could do is check to see if the customers around the store need any assistance! My husband caught up with me just in time for me to walk out angry at the lack of selection and pure laziness of the customer service personnel. I will not be returning there any time soon! read more

I love Torrid but will never shop at the Hulen location again. Although this location is less than 1 mile from my house, I will drive across town to shop. Drea is absolutely horrible and I am not sure she should be a manager. She is unsanitary in front of customers, rude when told a customer doesn't want to partake in the sale and just has no personality. read more

This used to be my favorite Torrid store in the area, however after my last trip there I probably won't be returning, and am considering not shopping at Torrid anymore all together. I have never had a problem returning or exchanging items I've purchased online at a store, or exchanging items without a receipt. If I don't have a receipt and the item is no longer regular price in the past they have offered me the amount the item is currently priced at, sale, clearance, whatever - which is fine by me. I'd rather have something over nothing and my bad for losing the receipt The week before Christmas I took a pair of jeans in to exchange. Brand new, never worn, all tags still on them, but I did not have the receipt. The woman that helped me flat out refused to do anything since I had no receipt. She kept pointing to their policy and saying they needed proof of purchase to do anything. I was shocked and told her this had never been an issue before. To make a long story a little shorter, we went back and forth for a moment and then she just said said "I'm not going to argue with you about it" and shut down, was not going to talk to me anymore even though I was still standing right there. I was completely shocked by her attitude and asked to speak to a manager - turns out she was it. Her name is Brittney. So I asked for contact info for the regional manager which she gave me - her name is Brandi. As soon as I left the store I called and left Brandi a voicemail - I have not heard back from her. Here's the deal - I've worked in retail for over 20 years and would NEVER think of treating a customer the way I was treated. I usually don't pull a "Pretty Woman" but if she had taken a moment to pull up my account information I believe she could have seen my customer status. Most of my closet is Torrid. The whole outfit I was wearing that day, down to my skivvies, was Torrid so it makes me mad that I have no desire to shop there again. Add on the fact that I haven't received a call back from the regional manager and I REALLY have no desire to do so. I will be looking in to paying off my Torrid CC and canceling my account. I understand having policies in place, but I also understand that CUSTOMERS are the reason that stores exist so it's really in the best interest of the company to be flexible with said policies in order to ensure a satisfied customer, especially when the policies have not been enforced in the past. It's also in the best interest of the company to have management that will return phone calls from customers when requested. read more

Comedically horrible service and selection. I downloaded this app and got an account just to write this review. I love Torrid but this was my first (and last) time at this location. I usually go to the one in Arlington. I found barely anything I liked first of all (I usually find mountains of clothes at the other location) and when I went to check out on the bra and tank I had... there was 1 person in front of me and 1 person at the checkout counter... and I waited TWENTY FIVE MINUTES. I would have walked out earlier than that but I didn't think it would be possible to wait that long so I wanted to see how long they'd actually make me wait and it was 25 minutes according to my watch. They literally were just chatting about life and going back and forth on if she should get another item to get a better discount. There were like 4 other employees in the store but none of them offered to check me out. So I set my clothes on the counter and left. I actually think the whole experience was funny but holy cow I will never EVER go back to this location. Plus, the people working in the center isles of the mall on the first floor are so obnoxious (even compared to other malls). One guy followed me for a while yelling "YOU DROPPED $100, MA'AM!!" While he was holding a coupon. Crazy experience. Employee at MAC was nice however. I dropped $200 there that Torrid could have had a cut o. EDIT: called the number of that comment below and was kept on hold for 5 minutes before someone told me "this is just complaints for online orders, there actually isn't a place to call for store complaints" lol so they left that comment below just for show but it's definitely fake af.
