I did have a general question about the availability of a particular shirt color and size and from there it snowballed into a much bigger purchase than I initially expected to spend. LOL. There was a jacket I had seen and wanted online but I thought it was sold out entirely, but Kevin said "oh yeah we have it in the size you want". It seemed like his brain was hooked directly into the BB database, and had the current stock information because it seemed like within two mins he pulled everything up on his register and logged into my rewards account and before I knew it, my credit card was out and the jacket would arrive in 2 days. LOL. There is a sea of retail outlets that employ help that just focuses on taking merch out of boxes and folding them onto a table. Every now and then they goto the back to see if there is more of a particular size, but they don't know anything about what they are peddling. It's nice when the help is experienced and knowledgeable about their product. It's nice when the staff shows some competency in getting the customer what they want and getting them on their way quickly especially during the holidays. This is a new Brooks Brothers store and I've got to say BB has a real gem in the store manager Kevin. The work that he's doing on social media to build up the brand on instagram is also impressive. Unfortunately, my experience was the exact opposite. I am MOB and came in with my daughter and her fiancé who is also female. I am going to mention this here although it is not something I ever think about, but seemed to be an obvious issue with some of your staff. They are both beautiful, and happen to be plus-sized. We were eyed up and down when we first arrived and then again by the sales associate, Lesley (sp?). We probably should have left right then and there. She was definitely taken aback when I introduced my daughter and her fiancé...caught herself quickly, but was clear. It is 2026, and this being Pride Month, she should have faked it better. To say she was probably the worst dress consultant I have ever had is an understatement. She questioned me on my normal clothing size three times (I wear a size 6 in street clothes and she twice said something about me being a 12...and no, not in dress sizes which I fully understand run small). This clearly indicates she doesn't know what should be her craft which I would expect from a sales consultant at a shop like Jan's. Then she didn't listen to anything my daughter had to say or me for that matter. It almost made me apologize for being selective and no one should have to do that ever, particularly when shopping for such a wonderful occasion. I did try on some dresses, despite her not showing me what I really wanted. She consistently talked about the dress sizes, unnecessarily as that is a ridiculous concern. And as we were leaving, she rambled on, unprovoked, about these lavish weddings that people have and she wonders if they'll still be married in ten years and then wished my daughter and her fiancé good luck. When you have questions, a staff member is not far away to give assistance. I like that approach. I was online looking for new work pants. I stumbled across this location during my search. I didn't know a Duluth Trading Company was in Cherry Hill. I stopped in because I wanted to try on items instead of taking a gamble online and something not fitting properly. I ended up buying what I tried on, and I'm glad I was able to do a fit test in person. Duluth had been on my radar for some time. Now that one is close by, I will be a repeat customer!!!
