It needed to be taken in at the chest, waist, and hips, hemmed to the correct length, and bustled. I came fully prepared with my shoes, shapewear, accessories, and even my veil so the alterations could be done properly. I was told my dress would be ready July 31. On July 30, I called and asked if I could pick it up August 3 and was told it was ready. I called again on August 3 before leaving home and was again told my dress was ready. When I arrived, I was handed **someone else's wedding dress**. After the confusion, I learned that my dress was actually **not ready and the alterations had not even been started**. I received a call the very next morning saying my dress was finished. Considering it had not been started the day before, I was immediately concerned that the work had been rushed. When I returned on August 6, the fit was not right. The back was extremely tight, and the fabric was bunching around my waist and hips instead of laying smoothly. When I expressed my concerns, I was told that I had somehow gained **four inches in my back in approximately six weeks**. I was also told the dress needed to be let out again and that I would have to pay an additional $125, on top of the **$625 I had already paid**. When I picked the dress up again a few days later, the bunching was still there. At that point, I was told there was nothing more that could be done. Having wedding dress alterations done is stressful enough without being repeatedly told a dress is ready when it isn't, discovering the work had not even been started, being handed another bride's dress, and ultimately leaving unhappy with the fit after paying hundreds of dollars. I took my dress elsewhere to have the alterations corrected. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not return or recommend this seamstress for bridal alterations. My advice- STAY AWAY!!!!

I received the following response from Jodi Berman: "Partial refund was issued because we determined the costumes were dirty, used and worn. Thus, ad written in out T&Cs, they cannot be resold and full refund denied." Firstly, this is false. The costumes were not worn, dirty, or used, as claimed. Secondly, their own return policy states no partial refunds, so the fact that I was refunded for one costume seems more like an oversight, and this nonsense explanation of "used, worn, dirty" an attempt to cover up their mistake. I will be filing a chargeback for the remaining refund that I am rightly due, but upon looking further into several other complaints against this company, it would appear they have very deceptive business practices. I would strongly recommend avoiding them.

When I called the store I could not get hold of the Orlando office because their phone 407-339-1486 goes straight to voice mail, you can't leave a message either because the voice mail is full. Even if you try contacting them on line via e-mail about your missing order item they don't return your e-mails. I wish I never have to deal with these business ever again.
