I came to appt. and told her I wanted highlights and a cut. She took little or no time cutting my hair. In fact she said she cut my hair b4 my highlights, really? No. I asked for highlights and when I saw her mixing up brown I questioned her. The reply, "I know what looks good on a person." She was rude throughout. When my appt was "over" I asked why she didn't cut my hair and she told me she did it before the highlights. I told her I wanted it cut on top and she literally picked up a clump of hair on the top of my head and snipped it off. I went to the desk to pay and a women walked in and the so called hairstylst was so happy to see her. She was a regular. I felt awful after such rude behavior.

I loved that the website told me everything I needed to know about their philosophy on hair and skin care, and allowed me to schedule an appointment without having to call. (Makes it easy!) The space itself is located right in downtown Wayzata and there is plenty of street parking or two garages (all free). It's a high ceilinged space with an organic feel-natural wood, plants, and a smell that's fantastic (it comes from the products they use!). Our first appointments were fantastic, we both got color and cuts. I also had my eyebrows threaded (so much better than waxing!). We were incredibly pleased with the results and the service was amazing. Everyone on the staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. I returned recently for a second visit and again couldn't be more pleased. I had a cut and color, eyebrow threading and a 20 minute (for $20!) facial that is offered as an intro to clients who are getting other services by the amazing Taylor. She talked me through everything and was incredibly hands on with my skin explaining that she could customize the facial in a literally 100s of ways. This is no 'buy these products' facial-everything is customized for you and your skin. Likewise Kassandra was very hands on in choosing my cut and color and customized my hair color to be perfect for the fall and winter (we went darker than my last color). I have never had a cut and color as amazing as I have at Beauty Ecology, and I love their organic approach. I also picked up a number of hair care products that have been simply fantastic for my hair. The products are formulated by Kassandra and she took extra care to adjust one of my products to suit my needs right in the shop. Prices are not cheap, but you get what you pay for! The service, care, and philosophy at Beauty Ecology is worth every penny.

If you have high standards and truly appreciate being pampered and cared for, this is absolutely the place to go. I had 22-inch extensions done by Laura, and I am honestly still blown away. I've been to many salons over the years, and nothing has come close to the level of care, precision, and artistry she brings to her work. Laura goes above and beyond in a way that you don't often see--every detail is thoughtfully executed. I'm currently on a hair growth journey, and what impressed me most was how she prioritized the integrity of my natural hair while still giving me a stunning transformation. The blend is absolutely seamless--so natural and undetectable that I genuinely couldn't believe it was possible. I've never felt more confident or beautiful leaving a salon. Beyond the results, the experience itself is unmatched. You truly feel valued, catered to, and taken care of in all the right ways every single time. It's rare to find a place that delivers both exceptional results and such a warm, welcoming, high-end atmosphere. I've even brought my daughter here to get her hair done as well, and they were incredibly kind, patient, and kid-friendly--while still maintaining that polished, luxury environment. The space itself is gorgeous and adds to the entire experience. I'm honestly just blown away every time I leave. This is one of those rare places that doesn't just meet expectations--it exceeds them in every way. If you're looking for someone you can trust with your hair, especially if you care about both transformation and long-term hair health, Laura is truly unmatched. I cannot recommend Silvie Salon enough.

I have very long hair, so I'm not sure if she didn't think I'd notice or what. I had mid-back length hair and was wanting to do a long bob so I was scared about going from long beautiful hair to a shorter look. I shouldn't have been worried at all. Coley works absolute magic. When I entered the salon the receptionist greeted me and made me feel welcomed. Shortly after that Coley came to get my for my appointment. Not only did she do a fabulous job on my lob, but she also made the whole experience more enjoyable. She's hilarious and really cares about your vision for your hair. She asked me many questions about length, etc. I also got a great shampoo massage from her. After she was done she even gave me a 10% on my next visit. I also needed to do something about the bushy caterpillars above my eyes, so I stopped in to New Reflections thinking that although I'd never been to this salon, Aveda salons are generally legit and a brow wax is not that difficult of a thing. I didn't want them reshaped, just cleaned up a little. I've been getting my brows waxed, on average, 4-6 times per year for the past 20 years, without incident. Nbd, right? Wrong. When I was introduced to the esthetician, my gut instinct said "run!!!". She had HORRIBLE eyebrows. But I didn't run, because I'm an idiot, and figured that maybe her brows were so jacked because it's harder to do your own than another person's or something. She asked what I wanted done, and I told her to just clean them up around the edges and trim a little where needed. She then became completely silent, as though she was concentrating hard, which made me feel more uneasy. As I felt tiny bits of wax being applied here and there, and felt hairs being plucked from spots I'd never felt hairs be plucked from before, my feeling of unease began to grow stronger. I began to suspect, in horror, that this person had no idea what the eff they are doing. When she held up the mirror to my face, my suspicions were confirmed: the ends of my eyebrows were totally gone, there were patches of hair missing from each brow, and they were two completely different shapes. One of them looked like a deformed sperm. My full, beautiful brows had been reduced to what I refer to as "meth brows." I started to cry. She asked what was wrong, and I said, "um, my brows are gone...they're like, gone. They are supposed to extend to here, and you took the ends completely off." She tried to say that those hairs weren't actually part of my eyebrows, but were just "stray hairs." I was then whisked up front to speak with the manager, as I tried to pull myself together and not make a huge scene. The manager was very nice, and said of course I would not be charged for the visit. She offered to have another esthetician show me how to fill my brows in with pencil, but I declined. I KNOW how to fill them in, but drawing them on, where there is no hair at all? Like a chola? That is NOT THE LOOK. Now whenever I look in the mirror, I just feel pissed. I wonder if the ends of my brows, and the bare patches throughout, will ever grow back. Waxing damages the hair follicle, so there's definitely the possibility that they won't. And that makes me sad all day.

I used to see Leah at Lavish, she is the owner. Leah is very skilled, probably the most talented colorist I have encountered in my 15 years of getting my hair done. I was devastated when Leah moved me off her books. She did this to focus on her hair extension business, and referred me to Emily Radford. I am currently brunette, with the request to make my way to blonde, I asked for highlights and provided a few inspirational pictures. What I received was very minimal, I could not see a change in my hair aside from 2 chunky highlights at the front of my hair. I understand it takes time to break up brown hair, but i received was unexpected. I was charged $348. Emily is young, new in her career, which I was happy to give her a chance. Moreover, Leah, the owner of the salon has never charged me over $220, and would exceed my expectations. I am extremely sad with the results from this time around, or lack of results rather. I asked for the situation to be made, right, and resolved but Emily said since too much time passed she will not fix or refund. Yes, it has been more than 7 days, but my hair is the same as it was when I walked out of the salon on 10/19, its still brunette, with no highlights except in the front. It took me until today, 12/3 to find the courage to say something about the situation. Lavish salon will charge with you steep unreasonable, unjustifiable prices, without any explanation or preparation of price point. I was blind sided by the price of $348. I cannot afford this price point for my hair, and I am still in need of getting my hair corrected, and will need to pay another salon to make this right. I feel taken advantage of. Save yourself the $ and time, don't go to this salon. Service was on 10/19/23 - after photos from a month later 11/19/23 & today 12/3/23.
