I came for a total different hair style and also some blonde highlights.she spent a long time cutting and drying my hair after she colored it. When I washed my hair for the first time it didn't look good. It was frizzy with no style. She let me come in on the same day so she could get it too my liking. After I went back my hair looks good. She gave me bangs and told me about some products that made my hair look much better. I'm really liking my hair with the bangs. Getting lot of compliments. read more

I have been going to Twiggs for almost 2 years and am long overdue for a glowing review of Nick's work. Nick is personable, friendly, and man can he foil fast! Forget sitting in a chair for 4 hours, I have the cutest hair after 2 hours at most and always leave the salon feeling great. Twiggs is clearly a well kept and clean salon with high ceilings, a flat bed to lay on when getting your hair washed (my neck thanks you!) and tea, coffee, etc. available per request. You will likely want to walk around gorgeous Wayzata afterwards and grab an espresso martini at COV with your signature Twiggs blowout that I have received more compliments on than I can count. Visit Nick if you want a great hair day!! read more

Twiggs Salon - Book with Evan! He's AMAZING! - Hair Salons Near Me - Wayzata, Minnesota

Twiggs, worst experience I've ever had with my hair. I went in there for the first time for hair extensions and color. I have never had hair extensions and tell Twiggs did my hair. I walked out looking like this . I was so unhappy. I try to communicate with them about how horrible my hair is. They kept making excuses to not see or work with me. I used to see Evan here for quite awhile until I moved away. He is hands down the best hair stylist I have ever met in my many years of getting my hair done. He not only makes you feel comfortable, but he goes out of his way to make it a very personal and fun experience. I've struggled to find a salon that knows how to do blonde hair as well as he can so if you're nearby I highly recommend him. Very talented and very kind! if I could rate this place higher I would! read more

Chic, friendly environment. Love visiting Evan - who appropriately takes control of my whole look and never disappoints. He is passionate about what he does and truly cares about how his customers feel. Thorough Oribe, Kerastase and Shu Uemura product lines. Only drawback is cash only tip - important to know ahead of time - so plan accordingly. Would recommend to anyone who wants to refresh their style and perhaps push the boundaries with a trained eye who enhances (not masks) what God's created. read more

I went to Twiggs salon last night for the first time after purchasing a Groupon for a partial highlight and could not have been happier. My GPS got me a little lost, but parking was very easy. The receptionist was really sweet, offered me tea, water, coffee and wine. Then my stylist John greeted me right away and too me for my appointment. He listened carefully to what I wanted and did an AMAZING job!!! I have been looking for someone that I really loved to do my color for the last 3 years that I've been living in MN, and after going a dozen different places over the years, I finally found someone I would 100% go back to!! John as well as all the other stylists seemed incredibly nice, friendly and knowledgable. read more

I used a groupon for a haircut here and had a great experience. The salon is lovely and Tedd did a fantastic job on my hair. He was a pleasure to spend time with. I was treated politely and offered tea and the chair massage. But will I be back? Probably not. There is an element of snobbishness, as some other reviewers have mentioned. I don't feel it was so much better than the other salons I've been to to warrant the double or more price. The groupon was an exceptional deal, but I think the fair price falls somewhere between the groupon and the normal price. read more

Twiggs is a wonderful place to be pampered. Nick and the rest of the staff are always very welcoming; even offering a beverage upon arrival. I might not look great walking in, but always look fabulous walking out! read more

Had my first appointment at Twiggs with Evan and I am SO happy with the results! He spent a lot of time listening to what I was unhappy with about my hair color (from a different salon) and then explained how he was going to fix my hair color. I showed him a photo of what I wanted my hair to look like from 2016 (photo of back of my head) and he nailed it (as you can see in the photo of the side of my head). Highly recommend Evan at Twiggs! read more

Recently moved to Wayzata from downtown Minneapolis and wanted a salon closer to my new home. I tried Twiggs after hearing great things about it and it exceeded my expectations! I saw John for a haircut. He was so friendly and talented. A true artist. He gave me a great haircut and the best blowout I have ever had. I have long, thick hair with a courser texture and I have never had a stylist be able to blowout my hair without also flat ironing or curling after with an iron, but John did it. My hair looks and feels wonderful. I am so happy to have found a new stylist. read more

I like new location, very friendly employees, but their prices just very high. Haircut is average $100.

Amy Jo was not only inviting, warm and a lovely person, she is an incredible talent! My hair looks better than I can ever remember it looking before (and she stayed late to take care of me)! I definitely had a 5 star experience at Twiggs. read more

I had just moved to Minneapolis and was in search of a new hairstylist. A new friend recommended Nick at Twiggs so I made an appointment. When I first walked in, I was impressed. The salon looked upscale yet inviting and the staff were very stylish and professional. For that first service, Nick cut my hair and it was one of the best cuts I've ever had! We had a fun conversation and I knew I'd be back. During my next visit, Nick colored my hair (which was damaged and brassy) but leaving his chair, my hair felt brightened and healthy with the exact color and tone I requested. Nick is still my go-to stylist a year and a half later. I love how beautiful my hair looks and feels every time I visit Twiggs. Thank you Nick! read more

If you want the experience of lifetime you need to check out Twiggs Salon!!!! Once you walk in the door you feel like you're in a prestige Beverly Hills Salon without the attitude. My experience with David was unforgettable! He consulted with me with what he wanted to do and I couldn't be more impressed with my hair!!!!! I've been getting compliments left and right!!!!! The best Salon and experience I've ever had in Minneapolis!!!! Check it out!!!! read more

The ONLY salon in Minnesota I will go to!! Twiggs is so chic and elegant, I absolutely LOVE the atmosphere, the music and the overall vibe. It's very hip and modern, yet still very relaxing. All the stylists are super talented and you're always greeted when you walk in by a friendly receptionist. I've been going to Cassi for my hair and nails for over a year and my only complaint is that they no longer do acrylic nails. Other than that, I've been a very happy client and I highly recommend this salon! read more

Horrible. Snobby stylists who don't listen and way overpriced. The owner is a nightmare and I would never spend another dime on any service; lots of other salons in Wayzata. read more

The manager finally contacted me and reimbursed me for the service add-ons.

After speaking with the manager today my expectations were exceeded for a conflict resolution. I was offered a full refund and a follow up appointment with a master stylist to correct my issue . In my eyes this made a world of difference. Aside from the color mishap & unfortunate communication between the stylist I had, I think Twiggs is a beautiful salon filled with a lot of talent. read more

I couldn't have had a better experience at Twiggs salon! Every single stylist was so knowledgeable on the questions I had about my hair and makeup needs. The salon itself is out of a movie- it's gorgeous, modern and very clean. My stylist made me feel so special and truly listened to what I wanted. It's been so long since I had this amazing of an experience at a salon. I can't wait to go back!! read more

Pretentious and overpriced, with just average staff. Don't waste your time and money here.

This salon is super friendly and stylishly decorated. Very clean and modern I enjoyed my experience. If your looking for a reliable stylist I recommend John. He's professional, quick and super fun. Free glass of wine and he will make you look and feel fine! read more

Redeemed a groupon for a blow out that included: a glass of wine, shampoo and feel conditioning treatment, and a chair massage. John was the senior stylist on the job. He was amazing. Super friendly, very well dressed, knowledgeable, quick and thorough. He knew right away which conditioning treatment to use. Gave a shampoo/scalp massage worth a 25% tip, a great chair massage as my hair was setting that helped loosen me up from stress I've been having, finished off with an excellent hair dry/blow out style. I wish I had a hot date tonight or something cause my hair looks and feels amazing. I will definitely go back and gladly pay the full price. I have redeemed groupons in the past where the service was significantly cheaper because of the discount, and the service ended up being discounted as well making for a not worth it value, but they still treated me as if I was paying full price for the service and it was lovely. Highly recommend. read more

I went here for a Groupon. The stylist asked how I wanted my hair cut (blunt layers) and he cut regular layers. It turned out fine but just not how I asked. A chair massage and a glass of wine were also part of the deal but I wasn't offered either, and I wasn't going to ask. The business had a cold vibe and I left feeling awkward. I wished I had paid full price at another place more welcoming. They got the job done but that's about it. I wouldn't go back. read more

Skip it. This place is highly over rated. David had an air about him that felt like it belongs in LA or NYC... Not fitting for Wayzata. He was condescending and charged way more than a simple foil and cut($400) then there is the crazy owner who appeared 2x on Millionaire Matchmaker, she didn't even fill the empty soap when I went into the bathroom behind her. Don't bother. read more

Twiggs in Wayzata is the crown jewel in the land of 10,000 lakes. As a West Coast girl, and long time client of Jose Eber, my standards are very high. Twiggs surpassed my expectations, and taught me more about hair and skin care in one hour thatn I have learned collectively in my 43 years of life. This is a family owned spa. The pride in ownership glows abound. My hair was badly damaged from years of overprocessing. I feared I would have to have it all cut off. David and Nick took their time and energy and worked repairative treatments into my hair that worked wonders. My haircut was perfect. The salon is absolutely beautiful, as is the owner, and her family members that she employs. The chairs are so luxurious. They were imported from Paris. Every inch of this beautiful Salonspa is decorated to perfection. Twiggs is my newest "happy place." It is a comforting retreat from the rest of the world. Thank you Nick and David for the great haircut and treatments. read more

I am so thankful that I gave Twiggs another chance! My friend Becca got first class treatment and encouraged me to try again after not so good experience about a year earlier. I've been to a few different stylists at Twiggs over the years and wasn't particularly blown away by any of them. But at my most recent visit I decided to try a new stylist, Evan, and finally had a 5 star experience there. He was the only person that I've been to at Twiggs that took the time to do an actual consultation and explain different options to get the look I wanted. He was very informative and did a wonderful job with my cut and style. I will definitely be back now and highly recommend Evan!!! read more

Upon recommendation from a woman whose haircut I adored, I made an appointment with Evan. He instantly made me comfortable as we discussed details (what I was looking for, what worked, what he recommended). As he was coloring and cutting my hair, he explained the reasoning behind everything as he informed me what he was doing. My cut was a transition but I'm liking the direction it's taking. I highly recommend Evan. He's friendly, easy to talk to, and extremely talented. read more

I am beyond thankful for Twiggs! After moving to Minnesota from Tampa, I was really looking for a salon that would do an awesome job coloring my hair and personalizing my experience. I definitely found this at Twiggs. I needed a color correction and I saw John for my first time. He gave me an awesome cut, rejuvenated my blonde color and got rid of the brassy orange that had developed since November. Next, due to my schedule I ended up seeing Evan for my second time, and boy was I surprised! Evan took me to the ashy blonde I wanted to be at, and was able to get the rest of the yellow out of my hair. I have never left a salon feeling so happy with my end result! Happy with my color, I really missed my long thick hair. I went in to see David for an extension consultation, and a week later I was in for my extension application appointment! David EXCEEDED my expectations. My hair was not only the color I wanted, but it finally felt full again! David made sure I felt comfortable before leaving and educated me on what products I should use to take care of my hair going forward! I am so happy for all of the services I received at Twiggs the past 3 months and the wonderful stylists that helped me get where I wanted to be. I will be going back in the coming months and 100% recommend this salon to anyone who wants to have trust in their stylists doing awesome work to their hair on all cylinders! At Twiggs, the stylists really care about developing a personal relationship with you and are extremely attentive to what you ask for when coloring your hair! THANK YOU ~ TWIGGS! ~ read more

I recently had a Brazilian blowout at Twiggs after a friend who had the service twice tell me that it was good and cost $225 (we have very similar hair texture). When I called to make the appointment the receptionist confirmed this price. I went in, had the blowout and was then charged $375. I asked the stylist why it was so much and received a defensive response. Nobody told me the price is so subjectively decided by the stylist, I was not offered a consultation (as the website says) and he did not tell me before he started that he decided I would require more product (which I can assure you I do not, I have fine hair with little curl and have confirmed this with my regular hair stylist who has done my blowouts in the past). I am a long time resident of Wayzata and willing to spend money on quality services, but this was ridiculous and I now see why this salon has such a bad reputation. read more

I've been coming here even before I moved to Minnesota. I'd save my hair needs for a Minnie visit. They are great here! Jonathan is my fav...so awesome at what he does. Highly recommend! read more

First and foremost, I really like Twiggs Salon. It is aesthetically very attractive and restful. I agree when some say there is an air of snobbery that you feel when you walk into the salon. The owner herself does not present herself as a warm, inviting individual.. With that being said, I have had three different stylists that have done my hair while going to Twiggs and I have been very happy with all three of them. The first two people have left the salon thus my third stylist. The third person I have had is EVAN. I am VERY happy with his work. I have received compliments on his haircut and color. Evan is also very pleasant! He is fun to talk with and he is NOT pushy regarding purchasing products....just informative. His chair massage is great, as well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVAN!!!! I am giving Twiggs four stars due to the cold vibe. Evan deserves five stars!!!! read more

Came into Twiggs for a hair treatment - they were one of the only salons in the cities that actually detailed what options they had and brands they used. Nick was fabulous, explained which option would be best for me and went through my overall hair regimen detailing what to change to obtain my hair goals! He was thorough at explaining all products used and why! Will definitely return for hair treatments and more! read more

I have visited Twiggs 3-4 times in the last 5-6 years. I decided to visit them again recently in their new location, and saw a newer stylist for a color and cut. The color was basic - a retouch of my roots - but that didn't turn out the right shade. I've never had a tint go awry. However, the cut was the worst I've ever received - she "razor" cut my hair and it looked absolutely horrible on the bottom. She didn't fold in my existing layers, and she took 3.5/4 inches off, despite my ask for one inch maximum. Doing so cut off many layers and pretty balayage / lighter ends, which changed he entire look of my hair - far for the worse. Such a departure from what I asked for. I had to leave the salon for an appt, so I told them I would call in and would have to come back for a re-do. I fully expected that they comp my services - who should pay for the poor services I had done? I am going in today for a re-do to see David - and will update my review following the appt. While they can't bring back my long hair, hopefully they can re-cut the ends and fix the color so I can stomach it for the next 6 months while it grows out. And, I hope they reconsider comping the funds paid. Regarding the location itself - it is brighter and more welcoming than their last - by far! Yet the chairs lack a footrest - so you are left dangling your feet (in 5 5 - so average, and my feet would not touch the ground). Last - if they put your chair down so your feet touch, you can't see your full face in their mirrors - which are up too high. Someone in ergonomics and salon design must have missed these key elements! Because I couldn't see my hair being cut, I didn't notice the poor cut with way too much length until I was completely dried and stood up. read more

I went in here after having an extremely botched balayage at a different salon hoping someone here would be able to fix it. My stylist was Alexia and she was amazing! She knew exactly what she was doing and carried out a great balayage despite the disaster she had to work with. You can't even tell my hair had been a nightmare when I walked in. So thankful for her great work, she totally turned my mood around and now I don't have to wear a hat everywhere! Would highly recommend! read more

Appointments never start on time-- stylists have no consideration for your schedule and are always running late; overpriced; snobby.

I really liked the old location better. While the new location is tres chic, it's not super welcoming. I'm not sure if the woman who did my hair was having a bad day, hates her job, hates me, or just has a mad case of rbf but I really got the vibe that she didn't want to be there. She was a little rough and it didn't seem like she was giving it 100%. Aside from that, there was hair EVERYWHERE! I know it's a salon and of course there will be hair but ya shouldn't have to sit in a beautiful white leather chair with clumps of other people's hair on it. I really had a great experience when I visited the old location--friendly people, a massage and paraffin hand wax. My most recent experience was less than stellar but at least the finished cut and color was ok. I think I could have gone to a different salon for the same experience at a lower cost. read more
