I have been going to Leah (owner and stylist) at Lavish Salon for almost a year now (every 4-6 weeks). I was recommended to her salon for my Wayzata wedding (hair and makeup). When I called to inquire about pricing I was given so much detail by a warm, knowledgeable receptionist (April 2017). Kathy is another front desk gal and she is amazing!! She is always accommodating, patient and knowledgeable! Leah is not only a great hair stylist but she's a great listener, makes you feel comfortable/invited and she's extremely easy to talk to. Going to get my hair done in the past has always just been something 'I had to maintain' but now I enjoy going and catching up with Leah. My hair has never looked better and I've never felt better about my salon of choice. Lavish is a professional, clean, inviting, friendly salon with amazing passionate team members (it shows in the environment when you're there - I promise)! Highly recommended! read more

AVOID THIS SALON. SCAM - UNREASONABLE HIGH PRICES with a poor end result/service. BLIND SIDED BY price of $348 with no results/change in hair. I used to see Leah at Lavish, she is the owner. Leah is very skilled, probably the most talented colorist I have encountered in my 15 years of getting my hair done. I was devastated when Leah moved me off her books. She did this to focus on her hair extension business, and referred me to Emily Radford. I am currently brunette, with the request to make my way to blonde, I asked for highlights and provided a few inspirational pictures. What I received was very minimal, I could not see a change in my hair aside from 2 chunky highlights at the front of my hair. I understand it takes time to break up brown hair, but i received was unexpected. I was charged $348. Emily is young, new in her career, which I was happy to give her a chance. Moreover, Leah, the owner of the salon has never charged me over $220, and would exceed my expectations. I am extremely sad with the results from this time around, or lack of results rather. I asked for the situation to be made, right, and resolved but Emily said since too much time passed she will not fix or refund. Yes, it has been more than 7 days, but my hair is the same as it was when I walked out of the salon on 10/19, its still brunette, with no highlights except in the front. It took me until today, 12/3 to find the courage to say something about the situation. Lavish salon will charge with you steep unreasonable, unjustifiable prices, without any explanation or preparation of price point. I was blind sided by the price of $348. I cannot afford this price point for my hair, and I am still in need of getting my hair corrected, and will need to pay another salon to make this right. I feel taken advantage of. Save yourself the $ and time, don't go to this salon. Service was on 10/19/23 - after photos from a month later 11/19/23 & today 12/3/23. read more

William Kern does my hair and it always turns out great! He takes his time to cut my hair to get it to effortlessly fall so that I don't have to spend too much time styling in the morning. He has a lot of experience working here and even in New York City, and is great at customizing the look you want for both cut and color! I've gotten so many compliments on my highlights, and I love how nicely they frame my face. Highly recommend to all friends to book him up before he gets too busy! read more

Leah works magic! If you're researching a salon to go to for extensions, you've found it. Make an appointment ASAP. Why? She carefully considers which color, length and how many wefts well look best. She is highly skilled, taking the time to make sure it's done right with high quality. I could sense she loves what she does and takes pride in making you feel your best. I have fine, thin hair and I didn't like the way it showed up on video calls - now it looks gorgeous! Thank you Leah! read more

I tried so hard to like this place. I went in, super excited to get my partial highlights touched up and was told Katie is great with blondes. The picture below is after coming in for an additional touch up. I asked Katie to blend my hair so I didn't have a straight line when wearing my hair up. That couldn't be achieved. I am super disappointed and feel I need to go get this touched up at a different salon. I was asked to pay an additional fee for the fix pictured after paying for the partial. I'm sure there are other great stylists at this salon, but I will not be returning to Lavish to find out. read more

I never ever want to write bad reviews, but, I called a couple days ago about getting an eyebrow waxing for today.. The receptionist I was talking to was laughing the entire phone call, and I totally get having fun at work, but when I called today asking about my appointment they said I wasn't on the schedule. I was so excited to come in and get my brows done but my appointment wasn't even scheduled so I wasn't able to get them done :( I still believe this place could be so awesome!!! I just wasn't able to experience it. read more

I wish 0 stars was an option. I woke up early on my one day off. I go ALL THE WAY to the salon and they cancel because there was construction. Why was I not notified? Extremely unprofessional especially when I woke up early and live 30 minutes away from the salon. Will never be going here again. read more

It was my first time at Lavish Salon. I scheduled a retouch and highlight. Talked with the stylist about what she thought would look good. She was going to foil it then tone it and do my haircut after. She mixed the bleach and started foiling. It was applied (maybe 10 foils - it was done in the front by the time she was done. And then went to wash. I didn't think it had sat long enough but we were and hour and a half in. Got back to the chair and did my haircut (which I LOVE). When she dried it she started trying to pick out the highlights but honestly it looked the same.. it was supposedly Baelish but truly after 3 hours and really no difference I was bummed but she had styled it and I wanted to get out of there. I ended up paying WAY too much for what she did! I wouldn't recommend Lavish. I felt ripped off and just rushed through the foiling. Spent more time talking than doing my hair (coloring and cutting). read more

I just moved to the cities and needed to find a great stylist/salon to do my hair. I'm a natural brunette and I've been going blonde for a few years, but my hair was a brassy, yellow color with dark roots and I needed it fixed ASAP. I found Lavish through Instagram and searched for their website. The website said they stay up-to-date on trends and I liked the work they did with blondes according to pictures. I called hoping to find someone with an opening soon. I asked the receptionist if anyone specialized with blondes and the receptionist was VERY helpful. She asked specifics on my hair and recommended I go Leah. The salon just opened in November and was very clean, trendy, and welcoming. When I arrived, the receptionist hung up my coat and offered me some coffee. Leah, my stylist, asked me what I wanted to do with my hair and knew right away what I needed. I have long, thick, hair so I expected the entire process to take awhile but she fixed my hair within 2 hours. The price was extremely reasonable and I am so happy with what she's done. My hair went from yellow to platinum and it's still extremely healthy! She scheduled me for my next appointment is advance and gave me tips on how to keep my hair from turning yellow again. I'm so incredibly happy that I found a salon and stylist I can rely on again! read more

The best salon in the cities! Professional, classy and luxurious. They focus on making sure I am taken care of the second I enter their doors. My stylist, Leah, listens to me but most of the time I let her do what she thinks is best (she's the professional, right?). I always leave feeling fabulous! Oh! And they carry the best product lines.... Kerastase (personal fav), Bumble and Bumble and Onesta. Thank you Lavish for the amazing experience every time. ‍‍ read more

I was really looking forward to working with this salon and I could not have been more hurt or disappointed. I went there to receive a hair and make up trial for my wedding in August. The make up portion of the trial was the first disappointment. I went into the appointment not really knowing exactly what I wanted but thought that the artist could help me come up with a vision. However, I felt like I was more of an annoyance to the artist. I was also not made aware beforehand that the airbrush machine was not working. I have never received this before and thought that it was an important part of the trial for such an important event. Then the artist could not get the false eyelashes to stay and left them hanging off of my eye. As someone with experience I thought she could have put in more effort to complete this task. She proceeded to tell me I need to just go buy my own lipstick and that she wouldn't be putting one on me that day because she "would not be following me around all day to touch it up" on the day of the event. I found this unprofessional, but continued on with the trial. The hair portion of the trial went well but I ultimately decided I wanted to have my hair down instead of the updo created at the trial. I did not tell the artist right away because I needed more time that night to think about my options. After I had time to process the events of the appointment, I consulted with my wedding planner to give feedback as she was the one coordinating all of my services. The owner of the salon then informed her that the artists no longer wanted to work with me and that it was within their "artistic right" to deny me services. The owner was unapologetic and rude to my planner and did not even have the courtesy to provide feedback as to why the artists no longer wanted to do the event. This was extremely upsetting and frustrating after spending my time and $150 on a trial. I cannot think what I possibly could have done to upset them to the point of not wanting to work with me on a very significant and special day in my life. I would never recommend this salon to anyone as they clearly do not care about how they treat their customers and new clients. read more

Before I started going to lavish and seeing Leah I was jumping around from salon to salon. FINALLY I found a salon and stylist that I love!! I've been going to lavish for over a year and couldn't be more pleased. The location is perfect and the place is always spotless. Leah makes getting my hair done that much more enjoyable and she's really good at recommending me to certain products that best suit my hair. I have already recruited a handful of friends to Leah and would definitely tell anyone to go to lavish! read more
