Physzique Fitness is a joke…read more...... My wife and I were loyal clients of that gym (Kennewick Studio) since January of 2016. We joined because we wanted to try something new and participate in a fitness challenge to see what kind of results we could get if we were held accountable. We paid a total of $521.28 to participate in that challenge. We met a lot of great people and had awesome trainers. We both ended up doing extremely well but unfortunately did not win that challenge. My wife and I participated in a second challenge in May of 2016. We spent $590.00 total for the challenge and monthly dues for the chance to win some of our money back if we placed in the challenge. Once again, we did well, we were told we made top 3 male and female for that challenge, but were unaware we had won prize money until we received a letter from Physzique in September. The letter stated we both won $250 and would have to fill out the included W-9 tax forms before receiving our checks. It also stated our checks would be mailed out by November 18th 2016. We both were excited that we would be receiving a 'Christmas Bonus'. I received an email from Physzique on November 22nd that included a generic 'We are sorry to inform you' letter stating that due to the fact they closed the Kennewick, West Richland, and Yakima studios, they had to freeze their funds and could not pay us our winnings. I immediately responded to the email that day requesting answers. By December 6th, I had not received any kind of response. I called Physzique's office in Spokane and explained my situation to the girl that answered the phone. She had no answers for me and sent me to the voicemail of someone in billing that supposedly would have answers. No one answered the phone and I had to leave a message requesting a call back. I waited for a call until January 4th, 2017 and had yet to receive one. So, I called back and again spoke to someone who had no answers. I asked to be sent to someone who could give me answers and again received the voicemail. I left another message requesting a call back. I waited for a call until January 9th and had yet to receive one. I called back again and this time asked to speak to the owner, I was put on hold for a minute or two and then told the owner was not there (Imagine that) but I could be sent to his voicemail. I left a voicemail for the owner (Zack) requesting his call back as soon as possible. I waited for a call until January 16th and surprise, surprise, still no call. I called back again and spoke to a girl named Nicole who too did not have any answers for me. She told me that the owner and his assistant were both out of the office (Convenient) and asked if I wanted to be sent to Zack's voicemail again. I told her no, that does not seem to work, and asked her to write a message down and put it on his desk stating I have been calling for the past two months and have not received any answers. She stated she would leave a message for me. I called again on January 19th since I had still not heard anything. I spoke to Nicole again and was told the owner was not in (Starting to see a pattern here). Nicole stated she would leave another message for me. I called today and spoke with a girl named Christina (sp?) and again was told that the owner and his assistant were out of the office. I asked her if she had any way of getting a hold of the owner and she said yes. I requested that she get a message to the owner, however she can, and let him know that I would like some answers on why we have yet to receive the money. I don't like bad talking companies, but this has been the most unprofessional and ridiculous experience I have ever encountered in dealing with a business. I also find it interesting that Physzique continues to have challenges and award banquets for their remaining studios while leaving winning participants wondering why they have not received their winnings months after they were promised. There is NOTHING about be trained personally at all. They try to sell themselves as personal trainers but, their is nothing personal about them. Most of the trainers are flabby so, they are not very motivating at all. They do NOT teach form, so you can get physical hurt very easy. The first evening I was there, Brooke introduced herself, chatted, made sure if I had any questions to just ask. Every staff member I've interacted with has been accommodating, polite and eagerly willing to assist with any demo of equipment I wasn't familiar with. I'm an average gym guy, in shape 66yr old been worked out my whole life, just wanting to keep in shape. This gym is full of younger men and women, some in incredible shape, yet the vibe of the gym made me feel comfortable and not out of place. In my 35yrs in LA I've been to a lot of gyms, I find Chrome far above in quality, equipment, staff attitude and helpfulness. They are a bit pricey but it's a serious gym and well worth it. It's not a premadona gym, it's for people who want to get out of a gym what they put in! For those of you here that have left negative reviews, I'm sure, like most, there's been some bad experiences like any place, some due to ones own expectations and behavior and attitude. Remember; you need a good attitude to get our of life what you expect and are willing to put in, same goes for a gym. suck it up! : )

Even with a full gym, the experience feels personal, like you're getting one-on-one support. KJay is always smiling and so encouraging, which makes a huge difference. I've only been part of the SCE family for less than a month, but it's already completely changed my perspective on working out. I'm one of the youngest members here at 21 and a college student, but I've seen people from all age ranges, from early 20s to 60s+. Age isn't a barrier--everyone is welcome. I love that you get out of it what you put into your fitness journey. There are no mandatory classes or strict schedules; you can come in whenever you want, and KJay is always super accommodating, trying to be there for your workouts. I have been active my whole life playing sports through college and being in the military as well so I have done some great workouts in my life with some amazing trainers and gyms so I don't say what i am about to say lightly. The classes are great for both conditioning and strength. The atmosphere is amazing too. Everyone is encouraging in the classes and pushes each other to reach their max potential while working out. Luke is extremely knowledgeable and knows how to get the most out of you while you are in the gym. His trainers are amazing as well and do a great job adjusting to each individual at the gym's strengths. It is nice for me to know that I will be coached and corrected to proper form and told to go down in weight to make sure I am not hurting myself and getting the movement right. I had never done really anything with kettle bells so this was all new to me so the coaching has been great from all the trainers at The Lab. I look forward to times I go there because I know I will pushed to my max and never forced to do a movement that hurts me because they are great at giving you a variation or something different to do in place of that movement. I highly recommend trying out a class and signing up.
