Although I wasn't interested in the judo and jujitsu they are primarily known for, Bobby, the owner, accommodated my interest in getting fit and I ended up taking Dana's Strength and Conditioning classes and got hooked. I renewed my membership and then continued with private training sessions. I am the strongest I have ever been and feel and look pretty great (never thought I'd feel like this as a woman in my 40s with three kids). Dana is motivating and a fantastic teacher and trainer - she fine tunes and gives great prompts to assist with form and make sure the exercises are done properly and safely. In addition, my kids have trialed the jujitsu and gymnastics classes and loved them but couldn't continue due to their other activities, but from what I observed, Bobby is a knowledgeable, patient, and fun teacher. I highly recommend you or your kids try this dojo out for three months. Would be surprised if you or they aren't hooked like I was. elenaele

But it's fun. And worth it! They condition the ice surface by hand, which I was astounded to find out as it's got a texture and is very even. All the equipment is in great condition, and they have shoes or grippers so you can stand in the ice more easily without sending up in your duff. The instructors were spirited, and you can tell they actually care about what they do, which makes a big difference in how enthusiastic you'll be towards learning. Any place that can get me to enjoy exercising deserves a medal. I knew my 100th review had to go…read moreto something special, so after a mere moment's consideration, I decided it would have to be Cirque Ability. I signed up for Beginner's Acrobatics with about 6 weeks left in the session, and from the first class I loved it. Each class has a maximum of six students per instructor, which is a great ratio. And for something so specialized and with such small classes, the price is great - only about $15 per class. The main draw for me though is that it's fun, and it's a great workout that's over before you know it. The hour goes by so quickly, because you enjoy what you're doing, rather than running on a treadmill watching the minutes tick by. It's also rewarding because you can easily measure the difference between where you were at the beginning and where you are now. The first time I felt like my cartwheel didn't look like a drunken four year old was an amazing feeling. As was the first time I managed to balance on just my head and my hands. Heather is a great instructor and she really helps by breaking down each move. Sure, I can't do a handstand yet, but I'm working on building the muscle, balance and confidence to ensure that I'll probably be able to in the winter session. All in all, they're a great workout class that I just love and I can't wait for the winter session to begin!

They were quick to invoice and re-register you, but then they wouldn't let you book your make up sessions because they signed up a fresh crop and took all the spots. We had our 3 signed up, they had lessons on the same night but only 1 teacher, so they each got a bout 10 minutes every session. Very little communication on progress, on next steps, on areas to focus. Often had different teachers so it was hard to establish any kind of rapport. I was told to email every Monday to check on spots for make-ups, but rarely got an email back. But they sure as heck didn't hesitate to try and sign us up for the next term. Even though we had a balance of make-ups still owed. The owner is a bit rough around the edges in terms of customer service and communication. It's run like a cup cake stand. Also, pretty sure Karen K. in the reviews works there FYI. Steer Clear!
