    Choco cake

I'm a Bolivian with Argentinian family members looking for a good Argentinian place in Wisconsin and this place just opened. The food: I got a choripan. The choripan was huge, it had tomatoes and lettuce that tasted fresh. The choripan itself was not spicy (even though I like spicy) but it was really good. I also got a beef empanada. It was tasty and a great price for the size. Lastly, I got the choco cake, it was delicious. The service was amazing, really attentive and they were very friendly. The decorations made you feel like in a small restaurant in Argentina. Lastly, they announce they'll be showing the World Cup 2026, so it's a must if you're Argentinian and/or Uruguayan.

Lomito pampa with fries. Empanadas for scale. Delicious!

The cost is very reasonable and the food is exceptional. As a matter of value, this is the best restaurant in Madison.

Food: A nice selection of pizza, split between ones with and without tomato sauce. I got the Lombarda which has Gorgonzola Cream, Pears and Apricot Glaze and Arugula. My wife got a cheese, sausage, mushroom and onion (CSMO). Both of them came out, pipe hot, with nice crisp crust. Nice presentation for both pizzas. They were both good, but I was a bit underwhelmed with the Lombarda. If it had Apricot Glaze, it wasn't very noticable, and maybe was the reason that it needed a bit of salt to enhance the toppings. The CSMO was very flavorful, and clearly the better of the two. Service: Super friendly and helpful service, both when ordering and when the food was delivered. The cashier was patient and happy to give us advice on what their favorites were. Atmosphere: It's a small place. Some interesting vintage large photo print on the walls. You order at the counter, then take a seat at one of the tables along the left side of the restaurant. It looked like there were as many people picking up to-go orders, as there were dining in. Good pizza. Lousy communication…read more Came to make an order well over an hour ago. It was a long line, and no direction to indicate if all the people were awaiting MAKING an order, or Receiving their order. So I returned to my car and created my order online. It informed me the pizza would be ready for pickup at 5:45. So I went home and turned the oven on, watched TV and waited in comfort. At 5:45I drove back and by 5:58 I was once again faced with a line of customers. Not a line, but a clump. Some were certainly in a line, three, actually one mommy with two little kids. The rest was a confused group who may as well have been a group of Alzheimer's geezers, judging the dazed looks on the more elderly among them. I stood at the counter where I saw a sign stating "pickup for online/phone orders" Directly across the counter in front of me was the last kid in the assembly line. He was the wrapper, and most certainly, this kid was employed by all appearances in the job that suited him. He was possibly either really baked or simply couldn't find the right length of bus and wandered into this place. I stood there, fully expecting SOMEONE who might be an employee to greet me or perhaps just tell me when/where I might find my pizza. Stunned silence. The entire group, possibly 17-18 in all, dead silence. After beginning to really feel uncomfortable, I saw someone (a veteran of PMs I realized) walkin and go directly to a rack of shelves and pick a pie and leave. So that's how it works. You just walk in grab any old pizza and it's yours for free! Man I feel stupid. I paid for two! But that was where I discovered both my pizzas, and the label stated they were ready for pick up at 5:43

We had some old fashioneds before ordering food, and I thought they were good. Service was super attentive, especially as we delayed ordering to enjoy drinks and an appetizer for a bit. I ordered the beer battered cod fish fry (my staple), and overall it was yummy to eat. The two pieces that came out were enormous and a bit wonky shaped... made me wonder what on earth this fish looked like in its swimming days. The batter was quite tasty, crunchy but not too crunchy/hard, but it was so incredibly think I'm not sure I got fish in every bite. I took one piece home and give the fish part to my pup as a meal topper, and the ratio of breading I had to pull off compared to fish was a bit (quite a bit) much. Still, everything I ate was tasty. I got the salad with my dinner, and was so happy that it came out with quality greens instead of a chunk of iceberg type lettuce. Overall, I'd come back again if others wanted, but wasn't wild about the batter to fish ratio.

Ordered the soup and half sandwich special for $6!!! Soup was good flavor but the consistency was chalky, you can tell it was on too hot and milk had split. Sandwich was perfectly grilled and served with a pickle. Nice portions for how extremely reasonable. Servers were helpful and quick, they both helped each other and had a good time behind the bar.
