Chicken Parmesan sandwich and onion rings
    Dave L.

Two things you must know; they offer seating and my review is 4.5 stars (thanks Yelp). We were in the area and wanted something local. We saw the good reviews and thought it sounded good. We weren't disappointed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While it isn't fancy (would you expect a "take out" place to be fancy?), it has a functional seating area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] More importantly, it has a menu offering a little bit of everything. Therefore, no one in your group can say they don't see something they like. My dining partner went with the chicken Parmesan sandwich and onion rings. The rings were tasty and my partner barely finished the large sandwich. They said they would get it again. I went with the Hot and Sweet Philly sandwich and fries. The sandwich lived up to its billing. The fries were top notch. While the price for a quick lunch was a little higher than average, it was very good. The service was top notch. Friendly and accommodating, the workers made us feel welcome throughout our visit. If we get back to the area, we will "sit in" at the "take out" again.

What a tremendous treat to find Stadium Takeout. Visiting my son & craving an East Coast style cheesesteak sub sandwich or a chopped cheese sandwich and discovered this joint on my search. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We walked over together to find a VERY pro Badger decor in addition to a very pleasant & immediate greeting by the owner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He was very helpful & knowledgeable about the menu as expected. We decided on a Donfather (thinly sliced beef & cheese on locally baked fresh soft rolls) & a traditional Philly cheesesteak sandwich with an order of buffalo dry rub wings. A short wait later our wings came out & were crispy on the outside & moist within. Terrific. The last bone hit the basket and our sandwiches were delivered. The cheesesteak was wrapped & served with fries and the Don stacked tall and tantalizing. The Don was a healthy serving. The bites were really satisfying as the meat was tender, the potato roll soft & supple. The cheesesteak emerged from the wrapper to reveal a VERY large sandwich. The Philly was equally satisfying. The fries were a terrific & unexpected surprise as they're hand cut and REALLY light and crispy. We really enjoyed our visit. My son was really happy to include Stadium Takeout as a new & reliable go to place for him. I recommend a visit without hesitation.

Philly cheesesteak with sweet peppers, whiz and onions.

Got the Philly cheesesteak with sweet peppers, whiz and onions. It was absolutely delicious! The fries are the perfect crispiness. Topped it off with a sprechers root beer. The staff is very friendly. Next, im trying that chicago dog!

I placed an order via their website for pick-up, and it was hot and ready when I arrived. Luckily there was extremely close street parking on the one-way street next to the restaurant. I was excited to try their fries, as they seem to have the most comments in other reviews. I found them deliciously different. I describe them as a cross between crinkle fries and steak fries. They are thick and extra crispy with a fluffy, hot center. They held up great while dipping into the luscious cheddar cheese sauce (extra charge, and totally worth it!) Yum. The Chicago dog was good, but next time I will remember that cold ingredients on the dog cause the dog to cool down quickly, so plan to eat it right away. The Italian beef (ordered it plain) was very good. The meat seemed more tender than other restaurants, with nice spice flavoring. A bit more expensive, however.

Very welcoming service when we walked in was greeted with a hello! Order the Tuesday special, which was 2 hot dogs and fries for 10.99. food was good fries were hot and fresh. Looking forward to going back to try the Philly cheesesteak. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is very sports like, chill vibes great place if you want to feel welcome as a Chicago Bear fan.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The hype is real - Stadium Take Out does not disappoint. Our group enjoyed the chopped cheese, Philly cheese steak, and wings. All delicious. The fries were unbelievable, and unlike others I have had. The owner, Don, was so sweet and kind, and brought us an Italian ice on the house to celebrate my friend's birthday. I'll be dreaming of the mango Italian ice for a while.

I took out lunch from here. I put an online order and food was ready within 15 minutes. Hot and sweet philly was my favorite. It was really hot. My nose started running, but really flavorful. I enjoyed it. Donfather was really good as well. It was spicy as well, though it was nowhere close to the spice level of the first item. Overall a quick and tasty lunch.

    The Donfather and chili fries

Stopped in with my husband after the Badger game last weekend, as we had heard a lot of positive reviews from the local Madison Foodie Facebook group. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small place, not a lot of room for dining in, but we were able to find a spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We walked up to the counter to place our orders - my husband went with the Donfather, and I opted for the Philly Cheesesteak with a side of chili fries. As soon as we sat down, I noticed the sign on the side of the wall listing the specials, and I immediately wished I had ordered the chopped cheese instead. I quickly forgot about it as soon as our food arrived, however, as the cheesesteak was very tasty! I do wish there was less cheese whiz on there, but otherwise it was great. I had a few bites of the Donfather, and that too was yummy - spicy, but delicious. The chili fries were just alright, they were VERY thick, and I like my fries crispy. Overall we had a good experience, and would definitely return!

Back to that sandwich...we were not hungry, but could not pass up a good sandwich, especially one freshly made on locally sourced and baked bread! The store itself is small, but mighty, and well laid out, stocked with all the goods, flows well, clean and in great condition. Service was stellar as well. We were greeted upon entry, checked on while browsing and chatted up while being rang out. But if you were open to just having a nice casual dinner in a retro easy place, this is it. My fiance and I went to meet up with some friends from out of town and from a list of places I wanted to try, they chose this one. Between the two of us, we spent about $60 for this meal, which I suppose now adays is on par with what you can get away with. We also left with half a sandwich because honestly, these guys are huge! -Hot Beef Sando with Cheese (extra): this was a massive sandwich, packed with flavor. The ah jus was on the side and needed for dunking. It hit the spot, was a messy affair, but was very good. The meat wasn't melt in your mouth, it was actually quite dry, but the mix of everything together and the dip made it good overall. - Chili Cup: well spiced, super small cup and charging a dollar for each addition of onion, cheese, and sour cream is murder. Pass on the fixings, the soup doesn't need it, but it's not something i'd get again as it wasn't knock out of the park good. -Homemade Orange Soda: this was great. Be warned though, its the same slaw on the pulled chicken...which speaking of: -Pulled chicken sandwich: It's their meat americanized fusion version of a banh mi. I know they have a vegan one on their menu, but this one felt less like a sandwich. The spices weren't quite asian tho and was interesting with the slaw.
