I tried the Donfather which is a popular special twist on an Italian beef with locally sourced spicy cheese bread and it was great! My friend got the burger melt and fries and she also thought that was super good! The fries were steak fries with lots of seasoning. All the staff were super helpful and attentive as well. I will say the prices are pretty high, just my sandwich was 14 dollars. They also charge for water, fries etc which I was not a big fan of. I was excited to try their fries, as they seem to have the most comments in other reviews. I found them deliciously different. I describe them as a cross between crinkle fries and steak fries. They are thick and extra crispy with a fluffy, hot center. They held up great while dipping into the luscious cheddar cheese sauce (extra charge, and totally worth it!) Yum. The Chicago dog was good, but next time I will remember that cold ingredients on the dog cause the dog to cool down quickly, so plan to eat it right away. I don't get over to this area that often but on a recent Saturday bike ride I made a point to stop for lunch. This is just a hole-in-the-wall place not really meant for dining in - it is call "take out". I did dine-in. There were a number of items that looked intriguing such as chopped cheese. I will need to return to give them a try. This is not your standard hot dog joint. I will even need to give Italian beef a try (wet of course). The service was friendly and they did offer me an Italian ice while I waited. The Chicago dog was just what I hoped for and very authentic. It was a great recommendation-Italian beef with mozzarella and provolone nestled in between a Stella's spicy cheese roll. Served along a side of well flavored and well seasoned jus, it is a complete sandwich. The side order of waffle fries were advertised as "Brew City" although I don't think they were as they were without the typical batter but tasty nonetheless.
