Just have our steel fence installed two weeks ago and very happy with them. 1. Very responsive starting from appointment scheduling, fee quote, follow ups and installation. Very smooth process. 2. Affordable price. 3. Courteous crew. 4. Willing to do extra work to accommodate our needs: they added extra mesh panels around the lock box on our steel fence for security; they also sort of customized the fences around the one branch of our palm tree so that we didn't have to cut it. We also appreciate their transparent billing process - 10% down and the balance upon completion. read more

Tornado Fence replaced my fence in 2022. It has now been three years and the entire fence needs to be replaced. The first section of fence fell down in six months because it did not have any vertical supports posts - it was just mounted to a 12' long rail. I emailed Jose requesting a repair or a refund and he did not get back to me. Fast forward three years and now the gate he built is sagging so heavily that it can't be opened and closed, and all of the low quality fence boards he used are cracking and splitting. A complete waste of $6,000. read more

Our fence blew down in the high winds, and about 75 feet of fence needed to be replaced, including the posts. We got a bid and a start date and everything went seamlessly. The job was done quickly, and the fence looks great. There were no surprises of any kind and it was done in two days. This is all you can hope for when hiring a business is that you get what you have paid for and people show up on time and do the work. Tornado Fence did the job well. We live in Escondido. read more

We needed about approx 500 lineal feet of wrought iron fencing for our property and since it was a pretty big project for us I actually wanted three or more bidders. We asked for 5. One never responded. Tornado was very responsive with initial walk of the project, had great solutions to possible issues, new his stuff regarding code for pools, etc, and send a very detailed proposal the next day. Costs were very good, and in the end we went with them as we have confidence of their workmanship and we went right. Jonathan and Francisco did a great job, and what was anticipated for a 10 day job was done in 8 days. They were meticulous with cleanup, gave us a play by play of what they were doing and would be doing, and we just love the quality and everything about our fence! So much so we felt compelled and did tip the team installing! Thank you Jose, Jonathan and Francisco! read more

I had Tornado remove my old backyard fence and install a new one. They removed the old 96' fence and set posts on the first day, and completed the fence by 3:00 on the second day. The work was done with a good attention to detail to make sure the posts were straight and perfectly vertical, and they trimmed the post tops to ensure a nice slope for the top of the fence. They worked with me to build a gate that matches the overlapping plank pattern so you can't tell there is a gate from outside the fence. They cleaned up well after their work. I'm very happy with the new fence. read more

The fence was completed on time. It looks great and was a reasonable price. Thank you Tornado Fence Company.

Very pleased with our new backyard fence and snakewire! Tornado Fence Company provides great price and service. Highly recommend!

José was responsive and easy to work with. His father and another worker did all of the work - replacing over 100 feet of dilapidated wood fence with vinyl fence. I had ordered sandstone fencing and gates at first and later changed my mind. I called José and told him I wanted to change to tan. He told me that I would have to pay for both gates because the supplier did not allow changes once the order was submitted. As it turned out, he was proactive and called the supplier as soon as possible and the supplier was able to change the order without any additional cost to me. Jose's father and the other employee did nice work and were courteous. I was skeptical at first because there wasn't much measuring involved with their work. Turns out they have it down to an art. I will use them again when I replace the other fence I have. read more

We and our next door neighbor had a fence that was falling over. Jose the owner of Tornado Fence gave us a very reasonable estimate for a new fence, arranged a date, and had his father and his team do the job. They took down the old fence and constructed the new fence with wood posts and boards. They were easy to connect and work with and were done within 6 hours and it looks great. We will have painters finish it off in ~ 3 weeks. Glenn P read more

Jose and his team did an amazing job on my parents fence. We hired tornado fence after getting 3 bids to replace a 20+ year old wooden fence. Although we weren't necessarily looking for the cheapest bid, price was certainly a factor and Tornado was in our budget. We are very happy with the results. They were on time and worked in an orderly fashion. The fence came out perfect! The worksite was always clean, no fence debris or trash. No surprises, kept the cost of the initial quote. If you are looking to replace a fence in north county give them a try. We highly recommend! read more

Tornado Fence - Fences & Gates Near Me - Escondido, California

Wind storms in Poway blew down the fence along the back side of our property. We've lived here since 2010 but the fence has probably been up since the 70s. We decided to replace the fencing all the way around the perimeter . We got a quote from the "top fence contractor" in the area for both wood and vinyl. Then we called Tornado Fence and Jose came out and wrote up a quote for both. We chose to work with Tornado Fence and we are so glad we did. As the other reviews state, Jose Bermudez is patient, friendly and sensible. He knew we were trying to get our neighbors on board with our choices and helping with costs. We decided on wood, not because of price but to keep our neighbors costs down and stay consistent with their other fencing. The workmanship, attention to detail and care for our property was exceptional. Yes, Tornado gave us a better price than the other contractor but the VALUE we got for the money was what impressed us. Jose broke the project up into three parts because we have dogs and couldn't be without any fence at all. The neighbors were happy with the look of the work before it was even done. Our pool technician was really impressed with the neat, clean lines and minimal gaps between boards. I like to hire local small businesses but I expect high quality and licensed professionals who stand by their work. Tornado Fence is that kind of business. We have a small metal "Tornado Fence" sign on our gate with their phone number on it. Everyone who drives or walks by knows why our fence looks so good. read more

Fast, efficient and professional! I contacted several fence companies for an estimate to have 177 feet of fence installed. "If" any of them responded, I was told by most of them they were booking three months out. Just to get an estimate was 3 plus weeks out. Tornado responded quickly by phone and in about a week I had an estimate in hand. Their estimate was reasonable and they were less than 2 weeks out at the time I okayed the job. I was told, it would be a two day job. They showed up on the scheduled day and finished by the afternoon. The crew was professional and polite. They did a great job!!! I would recommend them for a friend or family member. read more

I have had extensive work done on my home the past couple years and it's been rough to say the least. But, Tornado Fence is the exception and breath of fresh air. All my calls were returned quickly, a time to come for an estimate was quick, the work was scheduled a week out.( small job of replacing two gates), the quote was very reasonable, the workers fantastic and called me with questions as they came up. I had a small issue with the hinge breaking and it was repaired the day I called about it. I couldn't recommend this company more. Fantastic start to finish in every way. read more

Not only did Jose and team give me a great price, but they also repaired my sprinklers, replanted a plant that was too close to the fence, gave great gardening advice, and finished the job two days early. Just wanted to drop a quick review on the excellent customer service I received after my fence was installed. I had a couple of boards that had cracked and my gate shifted a bit so it was difficult to open and close it. I emailed Jose at Tornado Fence and figured it would take some time to resolve, so I wasn't expecting a phone call not 5 minutes after I sent my email from Tornado Fence letting me know that they got my email and they would take care of it. About 15 minutes later I got another call saying that that Jose was sending his crew here in about 30 minutes. Jose and his crew showed up and fixed the gate and replaced the boards that had cracked. To say I'm impressed is an understatement! Really appreciated the FAST fix and care that Jose and his crew showed in their response to me. It's one thing to deliver excellent customer service when doing the install, but to be so dedicated to making things right AFTER the install is truly impressive! Thank you, Jose and the crew at Tornado Fence, you all ROCK! read more

Beautiful job!! I couldn't be happier. Price was well in line with the quality work that they did. We spent a lot of money for a very ugly fence

We are totally satisfied with Tornado Fence and highly recommend them. We were able to get an estimate in a timely manner. The owner, Jose, was extremely professional and customer oriented. When the job was going to be delayed by rain, he let us know. The workers showed up on time, did great work and cleaned up everything. Our wooden fence and gates are beautiful and the work was completed in two days. The price he gave us was much less than the second lowest bid we received. What really impressed me was that when I contacted the fence company who put in our original fence 20 + years ago, they said they weren't doing residential work anymore and highly recommended Tornado. You can't go wrong with Tornado Fence. read more

I had an appointment scheduled with them to come evaluate an area for fencing. The appointment was scheduled for 10am at a location that I do not live at (business location), I arrived to the site at 10:03am and called to see if the contractor had any trouble finding the place, the office informed me that the contractor wanted to meet at 9am and tried to call me.. Admittedly, I do not answer calls from unknown numbers, and he stated he was unable to leave a voicemail (again this is true, mine was full). So without an agreed upon change the owner arrived to the job site an hour early and left well before I was there. When I did get his number from the office he informed me he was halfway across the county at that point and was unwilling to return at the originally agreed upon time. He was deflecting, rude, and completely unprofessional regarding the matter. I would caution anyone against using them, and I am honestly grateful that I dodged this bullet. That all being said, I have seen some of the work they have done which was very nice if not a bit overpriced. In all.. There are MANY options in SD County, so be sure you are working with someone who can keep the customer focus instead of attempting to change the terms on you without your knowledge. 10/10 would not recommend them based on professionalism and ethics. You would be doing yourself a favor by looking at the competition in this sector. read more

There are several real positive things to say about Tornado Fence. He kept his appointments. Not only did he keep them he was on time. The quote he gave me is exactly what he charged. Got multiple bids to repair and replace parts of our fence. I was impressed with Jose's knowledge of the requirements for gates leading to a yard with a pool. I also liked his suggestions on how best to make repairs to some of the existing fence. He also replaced a section of fence that we share with a neighbor. His bid was fair and his crew came in as scheduled and did a great job. Very thorough and cleaned up and hauled away all of the old fencing. I would definitely recommend Tornado Fence for all of your fencing needs. read more

I contacted Tornado Fence Company for a small job (68 total feet) on my property. Our fence is shared with two other neighbors so there were a couple revisions on the initial quote. Jose sent a total of three quotes and was very patient with my requests. In total it took about 6 hours for them to finish and the fence looks AWESOME. I could not be more happy with the job and timeliness of it all. I will definitely be contacting them again to complete my fence renovation. Tornado Fence Company has my highest recommendation. read more

This company is family owned and operated.  They did a beautiful job erecting my fence and the price was very reasonable.  Jose and his team (all family members) were responsive, respectful and very professional.  I had a few glitches that arose on the morning of the installation and they accommodated me easily.  I highly recommend this company for their integrity and the quality of their work. read more

I first hired Tornado Fence in 2019. We had a new AC unit installed in our new home that was exposed to the street. We wanted to extend the existing fence to cover it, replace a rotting fence panel in the back yard, and get a quote to have a new fence installed in the front yard to keep out the neighborhood kids, dogs, etc. We decided to only do the first 2 things. Jose and his assistant did a great job, and this year I submitted an online request to finally have the front yard fence installed. I submitted the request in April but his earliest available was May 10. An hour or less before he was supposed to arrive I received a phone call that he would not be able to make it because his assistant was sick and he was doing installations instead of quotes. Also that he would call to reschedule. When he did call to 'reschedule' he actually insisted on coming even though we were not at home to explain what we wanted. He interrupted my work while trying to figure it out and kept telling me that he didn't remember ever doing work for us. After all of that, he never emailed me the quote he said he would have ready in 2-3 days. I understand that the pandemic continues to impact ALL of us but there is no excuse for lack of clear communication, follow through, and overall professionalism. read more

Great job, clear communication from quote to scheduling to completion. Fence looks great

Completely unreliable company. They have set 3 appointments with me in the last 2 months and have not shown up for any of them. I called after they didn't show up for each of the first 2 and ,with no explanation for not showing up, they proceeded to schedule me for another appointment time sometimes weeks in the future. When they did not show up on time for the third appointment, I called them immediately and was told that they were on their way. They said they were just running a little behind schedule and that they would be here in 15 minutes. Never heard from them again. I worked in a service industry for many years and I understand that there are any number of things that can happen during a day which can cause you to run off schedule. All I ask is that I be shown the same courtesy that we always tried to show our customers. Make a quick phone call to keep me informed of the changes that are going on and then show up when you say you will be there. if you want to actually complete your fencing project, don't bother calling this company. I'm guessing my fence was original to the house, which makes it 42 years old. It has been slowly falling apart since I bought the house 14 years ago, and after repairing it ourselves for years, it was now time to finally get it replaced. I got three estimates. Jose was $800 less than the others, but his price is what I expected and seemed reasonable to me. When I initially called to get the estimate, he came out the same day and had the estimate emailed to me by 9pm that night. He communicated with me mostly by email, which I prefer, and he was always on-time! I had to wait a month for the install, but that was okay. The install day he and another gentleman arrived on time. They were both friendly and personable, and most importantly were super nice to my two very large dogs. They'd stop to pet the dogs every time they came near. This is always the secret test I have for any service people in my house! And the install was fast, about half a day, and Jose and his partner worked great together, moving constantly. Clearly they've done this once or twice. I highly recommend Tornado Fence Company! read more
