I was in a bind because my home insurance company was trying to drop me due to termite damage on our fence, and he was able to fit me in his very busy schedule and accommodate our needs. He was very professional, and also helped me in contacting a neighbor to get their approval to start work on the shared fence as well. They came on time, no delays, and got the job finished a whole day early! His mother Karen helped us with the quote and helped us schedule the work as well. From the quote process to install, everything went incredibly smooth. We had our entire fence line replaced and had a mostly easy time dealing with neighbors. After a lot of research, my neighbor and I decided to go with Carney Fence for a combination wood and wrought iron fence replacement project - and we could not be more pleased with the choice and outcome. From the first contact I had with this family run business (James and Jo do the fence quotes and installation and mom Karen coordinates the office), there is nothing but great things to say about the Carneys. James came by to discuss/quote the project and it was clear that he and his brother are all about quality and customer satisfaction. James came by my house the next day to survey the situation. They used the postmaster post system and I love it! The fence line is very tight and clean without the 4x4 posts normally used for this. Looking down from the first post set you will notice all the other posts disappeared in line since they were so professionally place. Nice job. Day two, posts trimmed to desired height and up went the rails, fence boards and gate. Gate had a final detail recommended on the latch placement and of course it worked. We had a pool built in our "front" yard (it's actually the rear of the house but faces street!). We had minimal fencing and of course code requires security fencing around a pool. Talked to the Carney brothers and just felt so confident in them, I didn't bother with other bids. Just being honest! They were so busy they had to schedule a start date way in the future at that point (early fall 2020), but as the pool project hadn't started , that date worked anyway! The brothers came out as scheduled in February, did all the work themselves, were highly communicative, and in a just a few days I had a beautiful wrought metal fence that allows us to maintain our view and still meet code. Now Vista being the way it is, the inspector that eventually came actually got picky about a couple places where the gap at bottom of the fence was more than 2 inches, but I didn't bother Carney brothers, we just shoveled some dirt around and we were good.
