Need a solid dog fence? Consider another company. Not great experience and after more research speaking to other fence companies; i should have gone with another company who understood my needs. We had an existing wood fence that needed to be replaced with aluminum for our dogs. Told the salesman from superior fencing that whatever fence we get, it needed to be dog proof (he got a look at our dogs during the visit), as I don't need my dogs getting out, which is the whole reason for the purchase of the fence. The fences they install are hollow aluminum fences which allow the rails to bend very easily. 1. Installed fence over sprinkler head and broke pipe 2. First week of install, a raccoon bent the hollow aluminum railing and come through our yard with ease. I bet the railing with my hands almost back inline. Called the company with questions about the new flimsy fence. No resolution. 3. Both dogs went though the hollow aluminum railings with ease. THESE ARE NOT DOG FRIENDLY FENCES 4. Called company for advise or option to upgrade to better fence meant for dogs. No Follow Up; I have called 3 times giving them a chance to help improve my experience. Still no resolution Called another fence company for advise and they recommend i look into puppy add-on fence. This was a great recommendation. Went to HOME DEPOT and found a aluminum puppy add on. My neighbor and I paid for Superior fence to put in a new fence. In no time defects came up I took pictures and email them and they said that they would not repair the defects. I followed up and ask them if they would supply paint so I can fix it myself. Never responded. I emailed them that I would post this on social media and they never responded. I usually read several reviews prior to calling a company and obtaining a bid. However, I did not do this with Superior and based some of the comments, more than likely I would not have even bothered. However, they deserve a 5 star review for the following reasons. 1. They were punctual. They showed up on time to give an estimate and provided a quote with 3 days. I was stood up and did not receive so much as a phone call from 2 other companies. 2. Prompt and professional customer service. Whether I called, sent an email or spoke directly to the office staff, my questions were answered. 4. Their bid was fair and reasonable. I received in total 3 bids and the one that was like for like as far as material, installation, and time, was significantly higher, so I went with Superior. 5. The work was done and completed to my satisfaction and I appreciate that more than anything. My neighbor wanted to get the fence between our properties replaced. The wood was old and was about to fall. We decided to go with a vinyl fence. There were some scheduling hiccups on our end and Superior worked with us to get our job rescheduled quickly. I have a high standard when it comes to completed work. I want it to look good and be aesthetically pleasing top to bottom. That was accomplished with Superior. There are no gaps along the bottom of the fence, it's uniform, and concrete posts are covered. I appreciate the work they did and more importantly I love my fence. read more

I am so disappointed in the lack of follow-up. I emailed in my project scope asking to set an appointment then had to follow-up with a call. My project is over 160 lineal feet of 6' vinyl fencing with 3 gates, in other words it's not small. I was then told they do not offer gray vinyl fence by the receptionist. I let her know it was shown on their website. Daniel came out to look at the project and I provided a line drawing of what I needed. He confirmed he had the product line I was interested in and let me know he would get back to me with a quote win 5-7 days. After 2 weeks I called and talked to the same receptionist asking to follow up on my quote. It's been over 6 weeks now with no response. I can't believe they would waste my time and theirs if they weren't going to follow through. Based on other reviews, I guess they did me a favor by not responding. If they aren't giving much attention to getting new projects I don't see them being very good about follow-through on install or issues. read more

I can't speak to the quality of their work but their professionalism was anything but "Superior". I wanted wrought iron railings installed on my balcony. It took 3 weeks and several phone calls to get someone to come out. I had what I thought was a good meeting with the guy, and he told me he would send a bid in 3 days. Having heard nothing from him a week later, I messaged him and left a voice mail to tell him I was still interested in receiving a bid etc. Over the next couple weeks, I left additional text messages and voice mails, asking him to at least let me know if he had decided not to submit a quote for whatever reason so I would know whether to move on. Zero star service with lack of concern!! Took off of work so I could get a quote from the company as their schedule is packed and only had certain time spots available. I was called in the morning confirming appointment and told to be ready a little earlier if possible. Waited 30 min past appointment time and then called them to inquire on status. I was placed on hold and was told they won't be coming. I asked why and was informed that the guy coming to our appointment was pulled to another job site. I asked can he come later today or tomorrow morning. I was told no I would have to schedule out again...week later. I can't take a company seriously if they don't respect my time. Very disappointed in both service and customer care over the phone. Plenty of other fence companies in San Diego area. Simply go with someone else, don't waste your time like I did. The company is not responsible for broken pipes during installation. We understood that. However, we didn't think they would just shatter a pipe connected to our sprinkler system and not notify us. They just finished the job and buried the pipe. They also were short on fence caps which was fine, but they said they would drop some off when they drove by again. This also didn't happen so we had to email to remind them 2 weeks later (the same time our neighbors notified us that our pipe was gushing water out onto nearby streets in the mornings). On top of that, their workers were eating the fruit off our plants & the lemons off our tree and left the remains behind. Who does that?! At least clean up after yourself... Anyways all we got was a "oh sorry, but yes our contract says we aren't responsible and we will talk to the guys about eating your fruit". And we were planning to fence our 3/4 acre property. It would have been worth it for them to just tell us about the pipe. Guess we will find another company. read more

The email came over a week later with the estimate, they only gave an estimate for one portion of the fence, not both! I called, clearly disappointed. Johanna said she would send someone out that next week to estimate the other portion of the fence. That happened as scheduled, but NEVER received another estimate!!!! I kept getting pushed off, " he will look at it this weekend and email you on Monday"........it's been 6 weeks!!!! In the meantime Vista Fence has come out, gave an estimate and started working on the repairs. Superior Fence Company has ZERO customer service, they don't seem to care about their reputation and certainly do not care about their customers. Poor customer service. We had the fence replaced on one side of the yard and I asked Superior for a quote on replacing a post on the other side. I spoke with Yanira on several occasions about the post prior to the project start, initially she said she'd send someone over to take a look. That person never showed up and when I followed up she asked me to just send them pictures which I did. We agreed on a price and she then told me that their team will take care of it while they are on the premises. I spoke with the guys the first day they came in and they said they'll look at it on the last day of the job. I had to remind them on the last day to take a look at the post and even chased them down as they were leaving for the day. They took pics and said they'll talk to the office to have it repaired. When I called them to check the status the following business day I was told that this should have been done while the workers were there. They told me they'd have to charge me $800 for a truck to come back, while the truck was literally 100 feet from my house and the crew were working on my neighbor's fence. Add to all of that the fact that their workers don't wear masks, they just show up in the back yard without announcement with no prior warning, and they leave the area where they worked a mess, I am not comfortable recommending this company. Spend your money with someone who offers better customer service and more attention to detail. read more

Stay away! Three neighbors and I in Rancho San Pasqual went together to hire Superior. First, the lady at the desk promised us a significant discount which made their bid the lowest of the three we all considered. But when the work was done, they refused the discount, and said they'd fired the lady for making false promises. Secondly, they used improperly cured wood on all our fences, which buckled and curved so much that you could put your hand through the fences in many places. They once did send a guy to replace a few boards, but all of us had to hire other companies to put in additional supports/slats to fix all the holes in the fences, and which, of course, cost us a lot of additional money. I called and immediately had someone schedule a walk-through at our home to discuss what we wanted to build. The employee came out as scheduled and on time, surveyed the area and said he'd be in touch with his quote within two days... we literally never heard a thing again. Here's where it gets weird. I called to follow up a week later to try and get the quote. The receptionist told us the person who had the quote had a family issue and was out of the office but I would hear back in the next couple of days. That's okay and I understood... but then nothing. So I called back a week after that and left a message. That following Saturday I got a call from a woman I hadn't talked to who said she had no clue why we didn't get our quote other than the receptionist lied and lost the paperwork. This woman said she'd get the quote for us and call us back... it's been a week and a half and still no call. We found someone else to do the project and guess what? They're at the house today getting it done. In other words, I hope this was a fluke but I would just choose a different company like we did and not waste your time. read more

- [x] My husband and I were extremely disappointed in the over all experience with Superior Fence especially due to all the damage Superior Fence had caused our HOA's irrigation systems. Their two employees punctured not one but ten holes through a 1 1/2 in pipe which is outrageous. I have family members in construction and he is a Superintendent who specifically specializes in landscape and irrigation, he advised that it would be almost impossible for Superiors workers to not know that they punctured not just one hole but ten holes in a pipe that is that thick. Superior Fence has poor customer service when my husband or I tried to contact them, they dodged called and wouldn't return our calls back and rarely responded via email. They took ZERO responsibility in regards to the damage caused by their staff. Their main argument was that my husband signed a quote that deferred them for responsibility if any damage was done. If their workers would have let us know the first time the puncture happened things would have been much different however that was not the case. At the end when they finished I signed the final paper work however anything under ground was crossed off and it was my fault for not asking however I trusted the work and reviews that I had seen with this company. I was never told to check the irrigation under the fence. My experience with Superior Fence is they do not care about their customers and ethically do not hold any accountability or responsibility in regards to the damage caused. These are extremely tough times and I have been out of work since March due to the economy etc. Additionally, we have to pay $1,000 to our HOA to replace the damage caused by Superior Fence. read more

Cant comment on the work they perform. What I can comment is their response when I solicited them for work. I need a fence moved over 18 inches and the lady who answered the phone started laughing hysterically. Maybe she felt the job was beneath them. Only when I mentioned that it was about 150 feet of fence did her tune slightly change. Her boss might not be interested but she would check. Sorry but I am not interested.
