We went to Torii's restaurant last night for my Son's birthday and we had such a great time! The wait staff are super friendly and the chef was hilarious! The food was amazing! Such a great time! I will definitely be back!

Good food! The fried rice was tasteful and our chef was fun! We had a good time on a Friday night. Wish the karaoke and bar area was larger tho, not much area to sit with a group after having dinner... the staff was attentive and overall would visit again soon.

This place is OK. I almost feel it was a little better when it was just Divy vs being perpetually under construction. The food is ok not the best but the chef is typically well mannered and entertaining. There are a lot better Tempanyaki places in Manteca and Fresno but my wife and I had our first date here. Here is the ugly. I don't think the quality of food and flavor is worth the extravagant price. The bill was over $200 after tip for 4 sodas and 4 dinner plates. If we are paying that kind of price we should have a fully put together experience. I get it we all need to be working even under construction however, it's been under construction for at least 2 years at this point. You should consider changing the name of the restaurant to CA Highway 99. Anyway this probably would have been a one or two star experience if the chef wasn't so good.

Fun, fun, fun and great food too! What an experience and our cook and waitress were hecka funny too! They are great and made the experience so much more memorable! The hibachi was sooooo much fun and really yummie and fresh! It was a lot of food too! The hibachi comes with soup, salad, fried or steamed rice, veggies, shrimp and your choice of meat(s). Again, our cook and waitress did such a wonderful job too. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone, especially with kiddos to come and enjoy the entertainment and delicious food.

Our cook was funny and great at making conversation. Everything was delicious and got our food cooked quickly.

It was a decent environment, we sat at the regular tables since it was a wait for where they cook in front of you so I recommend a reservation for that. The Spicy calamari was okay, it was a bit on the chewy side and left a seafood taste afterwards, also no lemons with it, everywhere I order calamari they give me lemons. The Deep fried oysters were okay also, it was my first time trying them so I have nothing to compare it to. I really liked my Mango roll sushi, if you like more of a light fresh but still filling roll I recommend this The Iron man roll was good too it had different sauces to it and I liked the cream cheese taste to it I personally didn't try the Shrimp tempura roll but they said it was good too

The grill would not stay lit, so we had to move. Then the experience was better, but its way overpriced for what you get.

We got the Crab Puffs, 49er Roll, a few Ichi Ban Maki Rolls, a few Crunchy Munchy Rolls, a Lion King Roll, a Philadelphia Roll, Miso Soup, and some more but you get the point. The food was ready quite promptly for pickup despite the extremely large order and it being a packed Saturday afternoon. Everything was perfect. The food that was hot stayed hot, the chilled dishes stayed cold. Every single thing tasted great. I was especially impressed with the Crab Puffs. They were completely stuffed with the filling (which I definitely can't say the same about from other restaurants)! They provided a ton of chop sticks and soy sauce packets which is much appreciated. This is my favorite casual sushi place in the valley!

The sushi was delicious, with favorites like dragon rolls and plenty of sashimi options. The spice levels were good, and the unagi sauce was not overly sweet. The buffet offered some great options, including fried rice, noodles, orange chicken, broccoli beef, and even some decent cuts of steak. The pork buns were a surprise and were really tasty. Dessert is mostly Jell-O, pudding, and some mini spongy cakes. The mango pudding was a great refresher. Overall, it's a great lunch spot at a decent price!

I feel like I've upgraded from typical Chinese buffets with the weird gelatin cakes from that one specific bakery that distributes said cakes to all these low-level Chinese buffets. But sometimes I gotta return to the trenches! The inside is cute with a lot of booths and Japanese decorations. The center consists of a sushi bar with a functioning boat, chefs making rolls and putting jello onto the little floaties. The back has the standard Americanized Chinese fare. Bonus: there is a "Mongolian BBQ" station where a cook will stir fry your creation. Pricing is pretty decent considering there is more than just the hot trays of Chinese. The food itself was pretty OK. Sushi is basic to below average with huge 65-35 rice proportions, so get ready to be full fast. The sushi chefs also focused on saucy rolls vs nigiri. Because there is seating around the sushi boat, it was funny witnessing socially-unaware people go up behind people sitting there to grab a plate even though there was a huge space at the end of the island without seating to avoid this. Anyways, we ate a bunch to get our money's worth and could cross this off the list to never have to go again.

It's also getting a little pricey. When we first started coming here, it was about $48 for two people, and now it's almost $70 for three people. The service is okay, but one thing that always bothers me is that they bring you the check after your second plate, which makes it feel like they're trying to rush you out. Then after a while, they stop coming around to pick up your empty plates. I recommend going on Mondays or on the weekends when it's busier. The ice cream machine is always a favorite, and the sushi is pretty decent too. If you're looking to eat a lot without spending a fortune, it's still a good option. When we arrived, we dropped off a cake and candle at the front counter and told them it was a surprise birthday cake and asked if they would be able to set up and bring it out once we finish our dinner. They said "yes". We do this all the time with other restaurants and have never had any issues. Normally, cake is brought out and candle that we provide is lit. Some restaurants even go as far as singing happy birthday. We finished our food and sat there for a while waiting for the server, Dolly, who was nowhere to be found. So we started stacking our plates to the side to get ready for the cake. When we finally saw her, we whispered to her that we were ready for the surprise cake. She went back into the kitchen and came out with the cake still in the box and candles still in the package and says out loud "here's your birthday cake" in front of the whole party. We asked her if they had a lighter and lit the candles ourselves. We sang Happy Birthday and enjoyed our cake next to our dirty dishes from our dinner that still have not been collected. A previous time eating here, my friend ordered takeout for her husband after we dined in. My friend lives in a different city. By the time she got home, she realized that 1 of 2 of what she ordered was missing. She called and told her she wasn't going to drive back but they were kind enough to comp her next meal. They said they can come back when she's back in town again to pick up a voucher. When she went to pick up the voucher, 2 other people were there picking up vouchers for missing orders too. Apparently, it's a common thing that happens. The food itself is decent and price is reasonable for what you're getting. However, the service is horrible from my handful of experiences here.
