This restaurant was busy af on the weekend. Me and my wife ordered two tacos each. Both were great. We also had Mexican cokes and chips and queso. As I'm writing this review a few days later, I'm getting hungry again. The restaurant was quite full, the bar was bustling, and there was multiple happy birthdays sung while we was there. Paying alot for tacos to begin with. I order it early so its ready when I come get it. when you pull up the the drive through its only one lane. Just about every time I get there, theres always someone there waiting on food. They dont move out the way when I pull up which is what you are supposed to do when someone comes in behind you and your food isnt ready. Why do this??? because the persons food behind you is probably ready but you are white and entitled so you arn't moving. Management doesn't seem to care about this. I also loved I could get a taco in a bowlThe place was clean and all of the staff we encountered were nice and personable. We sat at the bar for our visit. The bartender Allison was a rockstar. Absolutely insanely long wait for a drive thru that is online order ahead. They don't seem to care about the pickup time. After the insanely long wait you'd think it was thoughtfully put together. LOVE TORCHYS! The service is great. All the staff is friendly and helpful. Their manager, Omar, was super hands on in our last visit. Last week I had the tipsy chick and the taco of the month and large queso. This week I had the pork taco and another taco of the month (so good). The tacos are delicious, the queso at this location seems lil more spicy than others. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is the staff doesn't seem to pay attention to the selections on each taco. When ordering online last week my girlfriend selected no onions, and when we got home and opened up the food there was probably 2 tablespoons full of onions on this taco, she is allergic. I'm glad she checked before eating. This week we selected no diablo in the queso, we got home and sure enough diablo in the queso as well as drizzled on top. Spent over $90 on tacos and sides for family of four from a snarky and rude cashier. Discovered that not one single table in the entire dining room was clean as we tried to sit down to enjoy our dinner. No one was to be found when we searched for help to clean up one table. Finally asked one of the two bartenders who were (quite literally) leaning on the bar on their cell phones. The female bartender laughed when I politely asked her if she could please clean off one table so my family could eat. Two of the four orders came out incorrect (completely wrong tacos) and queso never arrived. Piles of trash and dirty cups, disgusting drink station, tables smeared with queso. Floors with soda spilled on the ground in the middle of the dining room. We were so disappointed. After waiting 24 minutes for corrected food orders, they finally arrived. I asked to speak to a manager who came over. His name was Omar. I tried to give grace as it seemed like they were short staffed and stressed, but expressed to him that maybe someone should bus a table so guests can eat on a clean surface. He made excuses and simply said 'we are short staffed' and then walked off. Two thumbs down. read more

Food's great so far. Restaurant is clean, but the music is a bit loud sometimes. During times when they're slower, they should consider turning it down so someone can hear their own voice. Service here, not so great! When they screw up, most times, when it's only the younger folks working, they just say sorry, and give you that inconsiderate "better luck next time" look. You walk away thinking, does this place really want my business. There are literally too many great places in Kyle for me to put up with that. Maybe they don't care for people in their early fifties. Who knows. Anyone else had this experience? And Torchys, it's 21st century!!! Consider updating your app to let people who spend their hard earned money, go in and put in a receipt number to get their rewards points. I ordered on the app for pick-up inside. I've only ever ordered ahead with the drive-thru before, so I read the instructions in the app which said to go to the pick-up area in the restaurant. I came in and saw the cubbies that say To-Go above them, and went to wait on a bench for the order to be put in them. I saw someone else's order get put there and picked up so I didn't think I'd never to do anything other than wait like I do with other restaurants that have pick-up counters. It had been about 20 minutes since I ordered, but I'm really shy and afraid of making people mad at me so I decided to wait until the 30 minute mark to get in line and ask, I was worried I was being impatient since the app says "please be patient as pick-up times are estimates." But when I finally got in line and went to the counter, I as nicely as I could said "I'm just checking on an order I made on the app about 30 minutes ago" the woman said "did you tell anyone you were here?" And I said no, and then she had an attitude and rudely shrugged her shoulders and said "yeah, we don't know. We just put them on the counter back here" and pointed towards the drive thru window. The attitude with the way she said it to me made me want to cry, and I thought it was unfair with the way that the app and the big wall of pick-up spaces implies that the order will be set there without me needing to ask. I understand that I apparently didn't know how torchy's does things, but the rudeness from the employee made me feel embarrassed and bad which was enough to make me never want to come to this location again. read more
