My friend treated me to dinner and wanted tacos. Parking lot is not large but at that time on a weekday we easily found parking. I went with the Baja shrimp taco. The shrimp was fried to perfection and the concoction of jalapeños, slaw, cotija cheese, chipotle sauce was yum. Corn tortilla and lime tied it all together. The cilantro and pickled onions were not my fav. She decided on a Grande Burrito bowl with chicken. The servings are not large. I should have gotten two tacos at least. She thought the same about her burrito bowl. The server was polite and the food brought to our table. The dining area was clean and bright. I do enjoy eating here but it is pricey. read more

Very friendly staff. Ordering has to be at the counter. They bring the food to you where you're seated. Just like the centennial location the food is excellent. The only thing that's very disturbing to me is a dude walking around with a ski hat and very short underwearlike shorts on. It is just not appetizing. At all. read more

It was very confusing, from ordering to what to do when the thing went off signifying that it was ready. The churros were burnt! This location was very warehouse feeling. And not in a good way. read more

Torchy's Tacos - This place was disgusting. Garbage everywhere. Food came out cold! gross. The new order system is a mess. This place was a disaster. - Tex-Mex Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Torcy's is a good fast casual chain but nothing special if you are looking for good tacos! I believe they have breakfast as well. I appreciate the vegetarian options and quick service, as well as drinks, but I would not go back unless I am in need of a quick meal. read more

I'm definitely not sure where the high reviews are coming from. I'm guessing the happy hour drinks. When I placed my order, I had to repeat myself multiple times because the employee couldn't hear me. He also double charged the guy in front of me. I requested no sauce or anything else spicy (jalapeño). The Baja street tacos were tasteless. The tortillas were cold. I did order no sauce but even the pickled onions were bland. The street corn was mushy and the sauce was super spicy; it wasn't good at all. Honestly I've made better at home in regards to the corn and the tacos. For $20, I could have gone elsewhere. Even Taco Bell serves better tacos than this place for a fraction of the cost. read more

First time here -- good service and opted for the recommendations by the guy here: Baja Shrimp and Trailer Park. The prices are up there for a taco but they definitely fill it, and it's a little more sizable than normal tacos. I was thinking 2 was going to fill me but you'll probably need 3 if you're hungry hungry. BAJA SHRIMP: Delicious! Pair this with the given sauce and it's the one to remember. TRAILER PARK: I opted to stay away from the Get It Trashy even though it was recommended. Only because it was earlier in the day, and having that much cheese in my system is never a good idea. It's definitely more sloppy and messy. All in all, good flavors but similar to a review I read here before -- I felt the food wasn't as fresh as it could be, or hot when it came out. Which is sort of surprising given some ingredients are fries. For example, none of my cheese was melted or close to being melted -- which is fine if it's meant to be cold, but that goes to show you the temperature is not there. Similarly so, the fried shrimp or chicken was not piping hot or hot either. read more

Okay so I'll be the first one to say I had my birthday party here 5 years ago, I come in today everything is different I still order the same thing the Amigas taco it's a breakfast taco and they used to be two corn tortilla shells which made it workable because there's a lot of food in here but I couldn't get to order right I also ordered a torchy tini more ice than anything else doesn't taste the same service is not the same bartenders and wait staff are not friendly makes me sad read more

I like Torchy's and this one is similar to the others. Excellent tacos, at a reasonable price. I always go for the taco of the month! This month -- April 23 is the Tokyo Drifter and features teriyaki glazed pulled pork, fried wonton strips, sweet and sour veggie slaw -- huge and delicious. Crossroads, with brisket is my all time favorite. Fast service, plenty of parking. read more

Well after reading the reviews I see I'm not the only one that had a bad experience here it was very cringe the minute I walked in the restaurant there were two women behind the bar I asked one woman for assistance she sarcastically replied I don't work here so I replied you must here your behind the bar she looked me in my eyes and walked away so o asked the second woman for help she simply denied her services as well when I say I've never experienced this kind of service in all my 7 years of living in Colorado i would not recommend this restaurant the service is service from hell and the aura in the restaurant sucks any positive energy you have a way honestly the experience was very demonic this happened last night and I woke up with it still on my mind read more

First time in Denver had just landed and wanted a quick bite to eat near our hotel Food: Food was pretty good. The queso was awesome (though quite spicy) and the tacos were okay. Good flavor but kinda fall apart. overall was satisfied with my order. Drinks are good not overly strong. Price: I felt taco price was steep for size of tacos. The price does not match the vibe of the place. Ambiance: place was clean and open with plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Unique decor but again the vibe doesnt match prices. service: Great service. Not very fast and we got our own drinks at the bar. You stop and a fast food type kiosk to order your food (so there may be a line) and then sit and wait for food to be brought to you. Staff wears mask. Kiosk cashier was helpful with selection advice. I would return because I did think the food was good but pretty sure could find something similar elsewhere for more reasonable price if I knew the area. read more

It pains me to leave a two star review for this place because there is a chance they just had a bad day. I am from Texas and torchys there is great! I was so excited to discover there was torchys in denver as well! Unfortunately, the excitement didn't last long. I have tried it three separate times and I have been let down all these times. The food was not as a good as in Houston. The trailer park taco which is usually my favorite, was a particular let down. The queso and chips? Great! The ambiance and the employees? Also good! Will check it out again as I have a coupon for free chips and queso on my email and maybe it'll be better this time. read more

The tacos were massive and super tasty. I'd opt for the corn tortilla. The hillbilly queso was also so good. You should definitely get this which you're here. Neither of us could finish our meals - it was so much food! However, it was a little overpriced and overdone in my opinion. I prefer pretty basic tacos and I think you can get tacos that are more classic at a better price, especially in Denver. If you like your tacos loaded though this place is for you! Holy moly what a great place. Packed all the time but great Tacos. And it's in the Golden Triangle.

No beer. As in, none. No tap. No can. No bottles. I feel sorry for the bartenders. What kinda taco place doesn't have beer for a week?

Torchy's is always a good stop when you're looking for a casual spot for some good tacos + drinks. I usually opt for the trailer park taco because fried chicken is a personal fav. But this time around, I got the baja Shrimp taco on a corn tortilla and it was delish. And of course my bf got the trailer park so I could get a taste. We also split guac + chips which was delicious! For drinks, he got the Voodoo IPA and I got the Marg - so good! Fast friendly service as well so all around good experience! I'll obviously be back! read more

We were craving tacos and decided to stop here after walking around this portion of Denver. This is walking distance to the art and history museums close to this area. We had some time to spare and decided to stop here for lunch. The concept is easy. You walk up to the service counter, order your food from the menu, receive a table number, seat yourself, and wait for your food to be delivered to your table. The guy at the counter was very friendly and informative. I wish I could remember his name. I should've asked and kept a note of it (Regrets). It's a very casual set up at this restaurant. I had the brushfire taco and the democrat taco (See menu on their website). The Diablo sauce that came with the brushfire taco was so spicy, it caught me off guard, lol. For drinks, and my significant other head a soft drink and I had their sangria. The sangria was good, but not as strong as others I've had. I had to steal a swig of the soft drink to squelch the Diablo sauce, lol. That spicy taco was good though. It was one of the more reasonable lunch stops around the area. It served our purpose for our a museum district visit. read more

First thing's first, I had read a number of glowing reviews about Torchy's Tacos on Yelp and did not realize that it is a chain restaurant. Kudos to the Torchy's Tacos team on having such an organic and unique brand that an outsider feels the restaurant is a local, small business. I think that's key to making the experience feel special, and that the food is not slopped through a mindless assembly line. All that said, I was super excited to finally try Torchy's Tacos after hearing so much about it. The Torchy's Tacos location I visited in Denver was a really big complex with a vintage carhop vibe. When you walked through the door they had menus ready, which I'm sure helps during busier times at this order at the counter restaurant. The Damn Good tacos are their specialty eats that were the main reason I wanted to visit. All the specialty tacos are super unique and not necessarily combinations you see at other taco joints. My eyes were definitely starving and I ended up ordering four tacos. FOUR TACOS IS TOO MUCH TACOS. Torchy's Tacos fills up their tacos!! I was blown away with how stuffed I was after just eating my first tavo which was the Democrat. The beef barbacoa was so full of flavor and the avocado cooled off the entire taco. Great flavors. The second taco I was able to finish was the Trailer Park which I ordered trashy (smothered in queso!) The crispy fried chicken was such an interesting thing to have in a taco. I was into it for sure. I also ordered the Baja Shrimp and Brushfire, but was too full to eat much more than a bite of both. Honorable mention goes to the literal vat of salsa that came with the chips I started my meal off with. I love when restaurants aren't afraid to give you a lot of salsa. Torchy's Tacos is a great spot. Highly recommend. read more

Years ago, I went to the Torchy's in Austin and fell in love. Their queso and tacos left a mark on my palate. So when I was visiting Denver this past weekend, I was so excited to hear that there was a Torchy's close to where we were staying. Tonight I ordered the green chile queso, the "Democrat" taco, and churros for takeout. - The queso was so good, still as good as I remembered. By far the star of my order, finally got to scratch that craving :) - Oof, the taco was really bad. The beef was under seasoned and over greased. The avocado was hella sour. I couldn't finish the second half of my taco. My friend ordered the same taco and agreed with me, she couldn't finish hers either. - The churros weren't great either. Texture of an old tire and not enough cinnamon/sugar. The tacos didn't come with any salsa or sauce either even though the cashier mentioned to us that they come in little cups. I'd probably return to the Torchy's in Austin and/or the queso. After this experience though, I don't think I'd come back for the tacos or anything else. read more

If you want to loose weight, this is the spot. Had their shrimp Baja tacos and ended up sick for a couple of days. I've been to other torchy tacos and this is the worst one I've ever been to. Also make sure you're okay with being watched on cameras because they watch cameras 24/7. read more

Suzi and I just had delicious tacos at Torchy's Tacos Lowry which opened today in Lowry Blvd One! Welcome to our neighborhood, we are so glad you are here! The queso, chips, chicken fajita taco, and crossroads beef brisket taco were all amazing. Everything is reasonably priced. This location is family-friendly, sports fan-friendly, and nightlife friendly. We are so glad to have a different type of restaurant here. The manager of the Lowry location is Dani and she is so personable. Everyone is welcoming and so positive. Adam is a managing partner sporting a terrific mustache! We've been to the Broadway location many times with no issues until our most recent visit which was our last. A woman with short bleach-blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail seemed bothered we showed up as we sat at the bar. It took several minutes for our order to be taken as she was very busy talking with the police officer and other patrons on the other side of the bar. Had there not been a welcoming and attentive co-worker there, we would have walked out. She is the one that took our order and seemed to be covering for the unwelcoming employee mentioned above. The final straw here was, the unwelcoming and preoccuppied employee walked passed us TWICE to wait on the Caucasian couple to my left and completely ignored us. What is one to think when something like this happens? read more

A wonderful stop for lunch today! Dug into the food before I remembered to take a pic - oops! First of all, the cashier who took our order was a delight to interact with. But also - THE FOOD! Absolutely delicious! I got one Avocado Taco and one Beef Fajita Taco (both on corn tortillas) and a side of Chips and Queso. The fried avocado taco was recommended to me, and I loved it! It had the perfect amount of crispy and soft and the sauce was the best! The fajita beef was good as well, and I loved the sautéed onions and peppers. It had so much flavor on its own, so next time I pry won't even use the salsa it came with. Torchy's is not cheap on filling their tacos, so two was plenty to fill me up! And the queso was just the ultimate cheesy, yummy accompaniment to share with the table. read more

Such a unique taco spot, I'm so happy I found out about it from a local friend! I had the tipsy chicken and fried avocado tacos, both of them were solidly cooked and came pretty fast considering how long the line was when we arrived. Their breakfast menu looks awesome, I wish I had come earlier to try some of those menu items! I recommend ordering your food and then putting in a drink order at the bar while you find your seat, they arrived pretty much at the same time. They were completely out of street corn / elotes and queso when I came in around 6pm on a Saturday which was a bummer. read more
