Don't waste your time shopping at Tops. Tops has changed in a huge way for the worse. The service is terrible now and the staff is arrogant. My family went to Tops the day after Christmas. They weren't busy. There were more staff members than shoppers, yet no one offered to help any of us. We were in the store for 15 minutes. We watched staff talk to each other, all the while ignoring my sister, my spouse, my niece and me. we will not go back. read more

Stopped at the Benton location today to replace my Danner shoes that I purchased about a year ago. I wear them nearly everyday and average over 10k steps so they are well used. Jolie greeted us when we arrived, which I find is a dying tradition. She was bright and energetic and what was a welcomed find is that she has a good grasp of product knowledge and customer service. Believe me, I made her work for her sale. She measured me and lo and behold I measured something differently than what I expected. I picked out three shoes and when she returned from the stockroom she delivered the bad news. Out of Stock. It was a bummer but I found a couple of more pairs that they did have in stock and I tried them on. I ended up spending more than I wanted to but I felt that it wouldn't be fair to the business to buy online. Topps has a great selection and great customer service. They will be the first place I go when I am in need of another pair of shoes. read more

I came in on my birthday to get my first pair of Hokas. I got the Kawani's and loved them. They weren't too bulky like most hokas and had pretty colors! After wearing them around the house a couple of times, they felt way too big. I went back Tuesday evening and ran into a worker named Scott. Scott was very helpful in getting me sized and thankfully they had a half size down which fit perfect! He was really easy going and had given me feedback on his Hoka shoes and other brands as well. The customer service I received from him is very rare nowadays. I will definitely be coming back to buy more shoes in the future because of the amazing service I was given the other day! read more

I went to Tops to buy shoes for work. I have bought shoes before from Tops at different locations and have had no problem. This has been a nightmare. The Red Wings I wanted they didn't have and so they had to order. No problem! As we're leaving my wife noticed the wrong ones were ordere8thd on the receipt. We went back and the correct shoes were reordered. The man, I supposed was a manager or leader of Isome sort, who reordered for us told us that employees traveled between store "everyday" and that my shoes would be there that coming week. Great! No problem! A young lady calls during the next week, shoes are in. Great!! Come to find out, they are wrong. She tells me, on the phone, "whoever told you we have employees traveling between stores, that's not true." What?!? Now I've been lied to, either by her or the manager looking gentleman. Ugh!! Well, Tops throws us a bone and offers a "discount." And here I am, however long it is now, (over 2 weeks) still no shoes, no follow-up, nothing. To say I'm disappointed is a HUGE understatement. To say I've bought my last pair of shoes from Tops is spot on. There is another Red Wing dealer just north of Bass Pro off 40, Walters Shoes, that'll be my go to store going forward. This is a great small town shoe store. One that you just want to come back to again and again. This was our first ever visit and we were blown away by the service and deals. I was a little worried after reading some of the other reviews but we had no issues at all. Keep in mind we also went on Christmas Eve but the sales guy could not have been more helpful and informative. Big plus as the ladies boots were on sale 75% off as theybare turning product. Because of this the stock was pretty much picked over but my wife tried on 10 pairs about and ended up buying 2. Both pairs combined were only $120. That is SUPER cheap for ladies boots and my wife was so happy. Rest assured, on future visits to Arkansas we will make a point to come here every time. I haven't bought new shoes in almost 5 years and was needing a pair of everyday walking type shoes. I have bought from the Hot Springs New Balance store before and knew it was affiliated with the Top Shoes. I thought we would stop by on the way home from a bike ride on the Arkansas River Trail. Was absolutely glad we did stop as I bought another pair of shoes and my partner bought not only shoes that fit his bunions without pain, but also orthopedic inserts special made onsite for his feet. He is delighted with his shoes and the fact he didn't have to cut his shoes to fit his bunions. Its been ages since he has had shoes without "bunion holes". lol. They feel great for bike riding too! Its nice that my shoes let me walk or ride without discomfort in my knee replacements. No more walking on the edge of my shoes. Service was fabulous as it was the owner's son and his mother helping us by discussing what we needed and fitting them too. Very nice family business going on there at both stores. Great place and lots of selections. not pushy salespeople trying to get a commission. read more

Love their boot selection, but I just had a depressing experience there. We entered the store and no one greeted us. We saw that the employees (2) were with other customers so we started browsing on our own. We browsed for 20 minutes near the front waiting to be acknowledged. I made eye contact with both employees multiple times. I stood next to the register. I was passed by for another ten minutes. A _customer_ saw we were being ignored and started helping us, but could only guess about sales, etc. We started opening boxes of boots on our own, hunting for a matching size but couldn't find one. We had obviously found a style we wanted to buy but could only look through the boxes they had on display. After 45 minutes without a single acknowledgement, and noticing that the employees had moved onto other customers who arrived after us, we decided to leave. No one even blinked an eye as we left. I've never felt so ignored by a retail establishment. We were polite, didn't "hide", and did everything but loudly demand that they acknowledge us. I don't know if they were under-staffed, and I know they were being quite solicitous of their current customers -- but they were definitely not overrun with customers and a simple "I'll be with you in a moment" would have ensured multiple expensive purchases. read more

Just don't expect any customer service here! We will drive the 35 minutes to CrossRoads in North Little Rock. My girlfriend and her daughter went to get boots and this is the text message that she sent me: I actually was pretty upset, we asked for the womens boots and that lady didn't even take us to them, all she did was point toward the back and said all the way in the back. They had men's and women's boots mixed together. All sizes. No boot was where it was supposed to be. And when we went back up front after finally finding a boot we liked, the sales lady didn't ask to size or offer to help. I was irritated. read more

Stopped by today to replace a shoe that had a blowout. I jokingly showed the salesperson the separation between the leather and the sole. He told me they would replace the shoe if I wanted to go back to the same brand. I've had these shoes for some time and certainly didn't expect them to replace them free of charge.
