The lady helping me had me stand on a scale which does a geometric measurement as well as an graphic design of how my foot stands exactly on the floor. The scale also showed my shoe size, arch use, and how my Achilles tendon posture. Coolest thing around! Once that was completed they sat me down and had me try on the features compression socks, love them!!! She brought out 4 different shoes and we also found one insole that didn't create pressure on my feet. She took the time to insert the insoles into every shoe that was tried on and she tied my shoes how a runner should tie their shoes. She then ran outside with me up and down the side walk so I could feel where the shoes put pressure on my knees, Achilles tendon and or shines. I have had knee surgery and tore my Achilles. It was honestly the best experience anyone could want! I ended up buying 2 insoles. 1 for my boots and 1 for my run shoes. Bought the ultra shoes and some hydration powder!

There are DSWs in CA and this one was smaller than where I've been to. We went to the clearance area since my g/f said that she found some excellent deals before. Sure, why not? VERY small selection in my size (6). However, she had plenty to select from. I did find a pair of cas Steve Maddens for about $15. She found some hot GUESS stilettos for about $40, although I had to convince her to make the purchase. Checkout was another issue. I didn't have a positive experience with my cashier. She wasn't very friendly and asked for my personal information to sign up for the rewards program. She kept asking me to repeat my info several times since she couldn't "understand". It's not my fault if you can't comprehend lady! I guess it worked out since I did get $5 off my purchase. There was a rowdy group before me, and the cashier made a sly comment into her earpiece to the other employees about them. Not very professional at all. 1 star for my deal; 0 for customer service.

It's pretty small for a mall (you can walk the entire length of the longer upper floor in about five minutes). You can walk the bottom floor, AKA the dungeon, in about two minutes. But it does have a few of the stores you'll find in ordinary malls. To its credit, there are some unique features like a barber shop, a rental car counter for Avis/Budget, and the healthiest, best stocked JCPenney I've seen in a LONG time! The facility has two levels, unless you count that creepy third floor in Dillard's with its seemingly endless furniture loop like a scene out of Backrooms. But most of the stores are way out of the mainstream for sure.

Also, it's good to be able to get gear when you need it. While in the store today, I heard the staff joking about flatus of some other customer. The staff concluded the person with flatus had serious health issues. It wasn't I who passed gas, but I was thinking that customer could still be in the store (a 2 story old house). They don't know how much business they just lost by insulting customers. I decided not to buy any gear here. As a spot check, I compared a Camelback that sells here for $150 to online prices. Online it was $90. Again, it is worth supporting local outfitters. In this case, the markups were too high & the service was lacking. I had been in the store for some time without being greeted or offered shopping assistance (came in to look at Hobie catamaran gear & possible gifts for a group of teenagers).
