My daughter picked & tried on 3 homecoming dresses while the owners effortlessly zipped her in and taught her how to adjust in each dress like real Fairy Godmothers. I mentioned to them we may peek at prom dresses too. We are 6 hours from home and we know she is going to prom. They let her pull dresses to her hearts content- so incredibly accommodating. We "ooohhed" and "ahhed" while the owner taught me to take pictures at a certain angle to see the whole gown in one picture in her mirrors: brilliant. We gushed over THE dresses. I have no idea where we go from here for her Junior Senior prom dress wise... this experience was absolutely everything I prayed for and looked forward to when I learned I was pregnant with her. She tried on at least 15 dresses. Truly the most encouraging, personal, lovely, and wonderful experience. We will be driving back every summer for her dresses for the next 2 years. What a gift this was to find! I cannot wait to see what they have in there next year!

I just left Barbara Jean on Cantrell, and unfortunately, I was disappointed with my experience…read more When I walked in, nobody greeted me or even acknowledged that I was there. I browsed around for a while to see if someone would eventually ask if I needed help, but no one did. There were two white women shopping in the store, and I noticed the employees were actively assisting them. I'm African American, and I was standing nearby browsing on my own. There was also another gentleman who was assisting one of the customers, and at no point did anyone step away for even a moment to acknowledge me or ask if I needed help. I understand employees may be helping other customers, but a simple "Hi, we'll be with you shortly" goes a long way. As a African American customer, being the only person in the store who wasn't acknowledged while white customers were being assisted made me uncomfortable and left me questioning why I was treated differently. I ultimately left without purchasing anything. Customer service and making every customer feel welcome matters, and unfortunately, I did not feel welcomed during my visit.

My husband and I walked into an empty store staffed with multiple employees. Not one greeted us…read more Not one offered assistance. We browsed with clear intent to purchase for nearly 20 minutes and were treated as though we were invisible. What we did receive was surveillance. An employee followed us at a distance the entire time -- not to help, but to watch. Then a regular customer walked in. The transformation was immediate. Multiple employees rushed to greet him, addressed him as "Doctor," asked about his weekend plans, and provided the attentive, personalized service that had apparently been unavailable to us moments earlier. For context: my husband is also a physician. The difference? They didn't know that. Luxury retail isn't about recognizing certain titles or catering to familiar faces. It's about consistency, professionalism, and making every customer feel welcome. What we witnessed was selective hospitality -- enthusiastic deference for the "right" person, suspicion and indifference for the rest. That isn't upscale. It's exclusionary. We won't be returning, and we'll gladly spend our money at Mr. Wicks who understands respect should not be conditional.

I was tremendously disappointed that it took an entire year to deliver shirts that we purchased,…read moreafter a promise of a 5 week delivery AND up front payment. The customer service at this store is embarrassing and there is zero accountability about timely delivery. THEN, we learned that the shirts aren't actually even made in house and instead the store owner simply takes measurements on site and then sends said measurements to a manufacturer in China and then you as the customer have to wait months if not an entire year for the Chinese manufacturer to ship you your shirts. They even tried to cover the name of the Chinese company who manufactures the shirts on the box but it was easily removable. They should be ashamed of themselves for saying that this is a bespoke custom tailor shop. VERY disappointed!
