I mentioned to them we may peek at prom dresses too. We are 6 hours from home and we know she is going to prom. They let her pull dresses to her hearts content- so incredibly accommodating. We "ooohhed" and "ahhed" while the owner taught me to take pictures at a certain angle to see the whole gown in one picture in her mirrors: brilliant. We gushed over THE dresses. I have no idea where we go from here for her Junior Senior prom dress wise... this experience was absolutely everything I prayed for and looked forward to when I learned I was pregnant with her. She tried on at least 15 dresses. Truly the most encouraging, personal, lovely, and wonderful experience. We will be driving back every summer for her dresses for the next 2 years. The customer service at this store is embarrassing and there is zero accountability about timely delivery. THEN, we learned that the shirts aren't actually even made in house and instead the store owner simply takes measurements on site and then sends said measurements to a manufacturer in China and then you as the customer have to wait months if not an entire year for the Chinese manufacturer to ship you your shirts. They even tried to cover the name of the Chinese company who manufactures the shirts on the box but it was easily removable. They should be ashamed of themselves for saying that this is a bespoke custom tailor shop. VERY disappointed!

Walking into 1/2 of 1/2 and eyeing a $48 blouse marked down to $12 and further marked down to $6 was just unbelieveable. This is what outlet shopping WAS. Remember? Before garments were made for outlet retail. The Good: Oooh. When it's good, it's so very good. Scoring a CK linen skirt for $14, bliss. Knowing that more stock will arrive every week and the fully marked items will be discounted a further 1/2 off... pure temptation. The knowing gleam in the sweetly helpful shop ladies' eyes. So hooked. The Bad: It's discounted for a reason so diligently inspect. Me, I'm handy with a sewing machine so a lot of problems aren't biggies. Many of the knits have runs and pulls. Zippers are pesky. Darts misaligned. Lots of etcs... And the shoes have all obviously been worn. But don't lose heart! There are gems here. You just have to look, which is another "bad" - it can be overwhelming. Really overwhelming. Pace yourself. NOTE: Finding this place can be just as hard as finding a perfect D&G slipdress. Look for the garish yellow and black neon sign near the Kings Chinese Buffet.
