The deli case for the subs does not get cleaned and is constantly freezing and thawing. No associate within the deli washes there hands before/during or after handling raw chicken/hamburger. Or even at the start or during there shift. The cheese case (on the sales floor) many of the product is expired by a few months to weeks to days. The produce section greets you when you enter and they do have some great fresh produce with some organic offerings as well. They do have a salad and hot and cold bar with a good variety of items. In the prepared cases they do have some designated vegan items which is helpful. I did get some of the rice and beans prepackaged for later consumption and they were unfortunately incredibly dry. Minus a star for that. They have a decent selection of mock meats and meat substitutes as well. The checkout was easy and efficient with a decent amount of self checkout machines. While we didn't really interact much with the employees the one we did was kind and cheerful. I'd certainly come back to Wegmans in the future. Seems they have a good variety of quality items to suit most any needs.

Of the foods in the case- be extra cautious that MANY are outdated. Today I found items 2-3 days outdated and still in the case. I checked several different options on this Wednesday and found that there were many packages that were outdated from mashed potatoes, to sliced turkey/ chicken & meatballs. I've found a similar issue while looking at cheese spreads in their cheese department cooler.I'm very surprised Wegmans has let their quality decrease.

On this day, I found them to be less expensive than TOPS for the same cuts of meat. They stock their sausages and meat sticks in their meat store as well as all the ingredients to make your own sausages at home. They're well known for their butchering service as well as custom bulk orders. I found the facilities to be extremely well stocked with tasty and nutritious foods. On the day that we visited, Falconer Meats was hosting an event called "MEAT US IN THE COUNTRY". Vendors were selling handcrafted items and farm stand produce. There was a BBQ food truck as well as an ice cream food truck. A winery was offering samples! It was an absolute delight to meet the nice folks from llama Adventures at Buffalo Creek, displaying their animals, as well as some of their handcrafted llama fur items. They are well known for their llama events, including birthday parties, weddings, family, reunions, etc..
