If you compare my old review to the current name on this page, you will see that things have…read morechanged and Brampton Crossfit is now Impact Fitness. I have countless great things from my experience when this gym was a Crossfit gym. I'd even tell others who live in other areas to consider Crossfit if they're looking for a new gym or a new approach to exercise. With that said, after several months at Crossfit, I realised that I was beginning to plateau. It's not to say that one can't continuously improve at a Crossfit gym, but if I'm honest, I like having things more or less programmed and prepared for me. Crossfit's workout of the day format offers that structure and is a great way to improve and then maintain fitness - but if you want get to the next level after a few months, you really need to consider doing a personal workout regimen, which many do at Crossfit gyms. The move to Impact Fitness is essentially a way of incorporating the things I loved about Crossfit, such as: group exercise, coaching, greater intensity workouts, heavier weights (if desired), a variety of exercises and other elements. In fact, many of the same exercises and equipment associated with Crossfit are still present. However, the class schedule now has more focus on determining goals, measuring progress and targeting specific areas. The daily schedule essentially operates in offering hour-long classes alternating between two types of workouts. One is 'strength', being weight training. The strength workouts in particular repeat throughout the month in order to continue working on the same area and work towards progressing. The other is 'conditioning', which is comparable to bootcamp styled high intensity interval training (HIIT). Beyond that, the workouts are also structured with either being mostly an upper body, or lower body work out. It allows you to plan your workouts and routine according to your goals, which can be done with the advice and help from the coaches. Effectively, Impact is a place where they have done most of the work in providing a workout plan and structure for members. It's really then just left to individuals to decide what their goals and preferences are, then plan their workout schedule and do the work accordingly. This is still with the benefit of a fun, supportive group atmosphere along with coaching. And hey, if you still want to do an even more personalized regimen, that's still available too.

I found Impact Fitness over a google search. Then I met Paul…read moreand Christina over my assessment and then I took my wife along. We are both happy joining the program and working out with a group of gym buddies in, early morning. Paul and Christina are both fun to work with. I feel really less fatigued than before when I used to work out at home without anyone to point out where I am going wrong. It is highly recommended to join Impact Fitness to have a dedicated trainer for yourself and reach your fitness goals sooner.

I joined this gym franchise about a month ago and have been going to this studio specifically the…read moremost. Overall it's a great concept. There are different routines each time you go with a different theme such as strength or endurance. You spend a certain amount of time on the rower, treadmill and doing floor exercises. So there's a great variety and all the coaches are really experienced (they're almost too by the script sometimes). The music is always high energy and the Orangetheory screen which shows your heart rate/calories burnt/splat points is really handy to keep you motivated (provided you have one of their heart rate monitors). This particular studio does get a bit crammed when the class is more than half full (12+ people, which is often) as there isn't a lot of room in the waiting area. But it's not an issue when you're working out. It does get fairly busy as there's only one studio in the city. So you should book your spot in advance through their app at least a day earlier. Parking is generally easy to find although workday evenings you might have to park a bit further away. Everyone is friendly and the exercises are easy to tailor to your abilities. I'd recommend this gym and location.

I consider myself to be quite active, and participated in the more intermediate level... It was hard work! But with a great instructor, and great motivation, this can be a great option for that 1-hour activity.

I'm a month in to my membership at PD and I'm super happy with everything so far. Rates are great,…read morethe place is clean and maintained, and the staff are courteous and responsive. I have not tried any of the programming out yet, because it does not align with my personal schedule, but at the price for membership I was a bit surprised they even had programming. I paid for the black membership, which allows me to bring a friend and attend the "spa". I would note that friends can't join you in the spa, but they've been flexible to allow new friends try it out to see if they'd like it. They advertise it as a "no judgment zone" and I'll be honest apprehension about starting my fitness journey and how I look held me back from joining for some time. I really should not have. No one's given me a second look and actually everyone's pretty nice. My only thing I would flag is that they sometimes run out of paper towel and need to just change it faster but to be fair this is because attendees do an excellent job of cleaning off equipment so it's out because it's being used and if you flag it staff change it immediately. I considered 5 stars but I'm just being reasonable in that some bells and whistles from gyms that cost 4x as much is not here, but I see zero reason to pay the premium those gyms want. I'm satisfied and if I need a sauna I'll go to a sauna rather than paying an extra $100 a month to go to one at another gym.

A very premium experience and once you go there you can't leave. Also in planet fitness they very much do encourage clean everything that you touch so because of that it is very clean there and it feels very clean. Also, the space is very bright, It's very nice and all the equipment isn't rusted and looks nice and brand new. Also, no matter what time it is, you can always rely and be sure that they will have a hot water in the shower whereas other cheaper gyms will not be as reliable. Also, they have every specialized gym machine that you can think of. I would give it a 4.9 stars and I'm taking 0.1 away because none of the equipment is gymkit capable so because of that you cannot connect any of your equipment directly to your Apple Watch.

CRUNCH FITNESS IS EXTORTING CLIENTS!!!…read more This is one of the low end, bottom feeder gyms of the past. With the re-opening of gyms, a corporate decision was made to leave one of their locations indefinitely closed. Most people only have the one gym option, not the all Crunch location option. ( So they only pay to work out at the gym location in question) In an attempt to extort money from clients, for a service Crunch Fitness is NO LONGER providing, clients have NOT been made aware of the location remaining closed and Crunch Fitness continues to withdraw money from clients accounts for a service they no longer provide. No emails were sent to clients. To date, no notice has been posted on their old location door. As mentioned by a staff member in cancelling my membership, they are receiving 100 angry cancellations per day and their own staff was in agreement that this tactic is far from good faith business practice. Clients are showing up daily, livid that CRUNCH FITNESS is stealing monthly payments when the gym is closed. AND still, to date, no formal email or contact has been made with clients to make them aware of managements decision. This NEVER was a top tier gym by any stretch of the imagination. I would encourage people not only to cancel their memberships but to contact the better business bureau, and government regulators to formally submit a complaint. The above actions by Crunch Fitness are not only blatant but corrupt!! NOT a business you can trust.
