paid for my order at 9:34M and didn't get my food until 10am when I went inside to discover that the order was not what I asked for. The order taker and cashier did not listen and the fact that i had Her repeat it and she was still messing up but never corrected it in the System. When I went inside it was a frustrated manager bagging my order and I was explaining to her that I was missing another two items she be irate and irritated. I just took my order from Tophers on Broadway and came to the Topher on Hardy street to get a better greeting, clean atmosphere and friendly workers. The food is mediocre. The staff was friendly and the prices were reasonable. I got 2 scrambled eggs, but it looked like one. When we got done eating, the trash can was so full that it was stacked up about 3 foot from the top. So if you need to eat breakfast, its not bad and its not excellent, but an ok place to go. read more

Literally the worst location Topher's has. I placed an order in the drive-thru, the first red flag was the speaker was barely working. I get to the window, pay for my food, only for them to say an order that was not mine several times. At this point I have been in the drive thru for like 7 minutes. I'm then told that I need to pull up, and I just tell her that I want a refund once she tells me I would have to wait and additional 5 minutes. I enter the restaurant only to have to wait 10 more minutes of them trying to locate my ticket. By far the WORST experience EVER. read more

They took about 30 minutes to give us our food in the drive thru. They missed over half of our order and when I went back the lobby was locked and they shouted at me that I had to go back through the drive thru. I told them I didn't have time and the girl laughed and said "well then don't complain". Will not be returning. read more

When the order came out, one of the orders was not delivered and my grandson's milkshake wasn't brought. The atmosphere is terrible and looking into the back while waiting was not pleasant. We were a little tardy to be part of the breakfast crowd, but they graciously served us, preparing pancakes, an omelette, along w a couple of biscuits with sausage and chicken. The wait staff were very professional and totally undersold the deliciousness of their pancakes, which literally melt in your mouth. The omelette was HUGE and filled with lots of cheese and the 'real' kind of ham that your grandma fixed. The biscuits were all homemade and falling-apart-yumminess. They use a local coffee company, Grin Coffee, which was quite delicious. Prior to hitting the road, we ran into the restroom and found a super-clean and adorably-decorated facility. The mixture of barnwood and industrial fixtures was an eclectic delight. All in all, even on a rainy Sunday morning when you've slept late, Topher's Grill is amazing! read more

I got the Mississippi Mud burger, and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. The bun was some sort of homemade artisan bun that was incredible. The flavor was impeccable. This place has gone a little downhill over the past year or two. Use to come here very often when I lived closer, an it was lively and well decorated and cleaned. The food is still good. Great Fries, an average burger that seemed to lose its quality because of the time it took and the fact they got my order wrong the first time. There's literally nothing on the walls anymore, which is disappointing because they had a bunch of rock and roll themed decorations and quality made attractions hanging. They even use to have a board showing all their involvement in the community which was always nice to see. I guess they changed owners or something like that. Consistent. Not a revolutionary quality, but if you've ate anywhere a mile from here you'd know how big a deal it is. I've only used the drive through, but every time it has been a good experience. I think I would have rather had a larger bun with the meat more spread out on it to make it easier to eat. You can have your choice of many sides as long as you like them fried and I chose the sweet potato fries as the "healthiest" option I could attempt to stay somewhat good to my body. The menu was easy to understand so I settled in on a Texas toast buffalo chicken sandwich, I've never met a carb I don't like. I took my seat and my meal was delivered in just a few minutes. I pretty much only go here for an order of fries and a chocolate shake. A bit pricey (fries and a shake are $6) and the food is mostly (if not all) sourced from Cisco. A fast food venture from the group that brought the area the ultra-American Sports and Burger Bar Mugshots and the pseudo-Greek, Watered-Down Blues Bar Atmosphere of Glorybound Gyro, the decoration inside is clean and soul-less to the point of sterilization. The faux-rickety porch entrance and screened-in outdoor dining area scream to me of trying too hard to emulate true character and it makes me not want to frequent this or any of their ventures, sadly. But hey, on a hot day, I'd rather be spending my money on an afternoon shake from a local restaurant trying to be a regional restaurant than on something the same price or even cheaper from a national chain. We were coming through Hattiesburg on vacation and I looked up restaurants and found Tophers. Really good decision to stop here. The burgers are fresh ground beef, daily. You can taste the freshness. And the sourdough bread compliments the burger very well. My daughter had chicken tenders and they are battered fresh before frying. Im sad I didn't get to try the biscuits and grits. Dewey picked up the burgers and fries and, when he got home, we were 1 burger short and the fries were battered. Not even close to what he ordered, let alone they charged him for Sprite, which he hates. I took it all back, tried to explain what happened, and all I got was a lot of "he knew" and "that's what he said." Never once did the manager apologize and when he gave me omitted burger and the correct fries, he also gave me back the 2 cold burgers from the original pickup.
