But there's an art to it and Ed's Burger Joint got it right! It's definitely worth the somewhat higher prices to eat there. The burger tasted phenomenal and I am extremely picky when it comes to hamburger meat. The fries were very good, hot and perfectly crispy, as fries should be. You can eat inside or outside at this place and it has classic decor with great music. The food and atmosphere gives off that fun feeling of being at an amusement park. Ed's is one of those places that long after your visit you still keep thinking about how good the food was and how you can't wait to go back. It will definitely be my go-to hamburger place when I am in Hattiesburg. Note: I saw someone left a 3-star review about Ed's. Who the heck goes to a hamburger joint to get a turkey burger? All I can say is bless their hearts!

The beef was high quality, seasoned well and juicy. The only improvement would have been a big more mustard and toppings (onions and pickles). Even so, it was a very good burger. The highlight was the onion rings. They are the best onion rings we've had in a long time. Seriously, the best. Crunchy, a little spice, perfect batter to onion ratio. We could eat the onion rings by themselves and be quite happy. It's hard to find good burger joints these days. This is definitely a good one.

But here's what we got: "Smoked ahi tuna dip" = canned tuna salad ($12.95, served with Keebler Club crackers) Ham & cheese po' boy- it was just a ham and cheese sandwich on a long roll, and the roll was cold ($13.95) My son liked the brisket, but said the Mac & cheese was not good. My family got refills on their drinks, but my drink came in a smaller glass and I didn't get a refill. We all got soda, so I'm not sure why. The restaurant is pleasant, but we were seated directly in front of the window unit air conditioner so we had to decide which one of us would be the most uncomfortable while eating. The bill was over $100. After discussing it, we all felt that we would have felt better about the entire thing if the food had been more fairly represented and priced. If you go, don't order the tuna.

Fairley's is hands down the best wing spots around! The wings were cooked perfectl crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The sauce selection was excellent, and every wing came out fresh and hot. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the atmosphere made the experience even better. Discovered this little place by accident but it is worth going out of your way. The staff was the most charming of all the places I dined during my stay in Hattiesburg. I didn't find one thing on their menu that I didn't like. Seating is limited so get there early for lunch. read more

When I made it to the window, my order was repeated and the receipt on the bag read the same. I drove 3.3 miles home with my tastebuds excited to enjoy one of my favorite breakfast items. Unfortunately, I had received a BEC BISCUIT! To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I toasted my own bread and transferred the eggs and bacon, which were absolutely delicious! Next time, I will make sure my order is correct before I drive 3.3 miles back home.

Plus you are more likely to meet Rocky, the owner, during the day. Rocky is what makes this place. His friendly demeanor and welcoming attitude is sure to make you feel better.
