There's nothing on the menu that's not delicious. Hostesses are always friendly. Food is delivered promptly and with friendly service. The Splenda tea is my husband's favorite. This is one of the places I always come to eat lunch or have a light meal. The food is pretty decent but sometimes the bread can be really dry and skimpy on the meat. Today was the first time I have ever visited Newks.it is conveniently located, competitively priced, and very clean. Before entering the establishment the smell of the grilled chicken and the veggies sizzling reached out and put my nose in a full Nelson and lured me inside. Once inside the euphonius music overhead was at the perfect volume. It wasn't too loud as to drown out my company and it wasn't quite enough to make the lunch talk pauses awkward. We all got to the counter and ordered the food from a menu that was strategically placed, out of the way, to where you don't have people standing in from and you having to get a crook in your neck from trying to read it. The lady up front took our order and we paid. By the time we got our drinks and sat down Kaylee was out with our food. She realized the one sandwich was wrong and offered to take it back. The person in our company decided he would eat it. And he LOVED it. That was a good mistake. He may have never ordered it, but thanks to the mess up he did. Regardless Kaylee came back just to make sure that he was ok with it. She would have taken it back. It was very gracious of her since they were packed. That's what I call customer service. One of the best healthy places to eat out at in town. They have a variety of salads, sandwiches and soups. Don't let the "healthy" fool you they have some pretty good tasting cakes. It's a fast, casual counter service where you get a number and have a seat so they can bring your order to you. There is barely any wait time but beware they do have a huge lunch rush. My favorite salad is the ahi tuna one or the shrimp avocado. The only thing is that sometimes their protein can be overly seasoned/salted but that's what you get when you eat out. This is a great option for a healthy lunch and they rotate their soups depending on the day of the week. again beware of the salt added in these soups. Just remember that just because it's salad doesn't mean you can go crazy with the high calorie and fat dressings. Everything in moderation! read more

Fantastic!! I got the Debra on cauliflower crust. It consists of all natural chicken, tomatoes, mozzarella, Parmigiana, basil and pesto. It was the perfect amount for a 1 person meal. The crust was cooked perfectly. Very delicious! We also got the triple take. It came with pasta salad, fruit salad, chicken salad over greens with your choice of salad dressing. The whole meal was tasty. It was only 495 calories. My husband got the chicken bacon club. He was so impressed. He loved the bread. I definitely will order from here again very soon. read more

Not to mention the vibe here is absolutely amazing, I always see a smile on everyone's face and probably one of the prettiest buildings i've ever seen in hattiesburg. You order at the counter and can customize your selection at the condiment bar with items including shreaded parm, olives, fresh baked croutons, peperchinies, etc. I tend to get the heated sandwiches or the black n blue salad. They also have the option for 1/2 soup w 1/2 sandwich. We have tried a couple of the soups in the combo option and I find the lobster n crab bisque to be my preference. The staff at this location was friendly. The restaurant was clean, including the bathroom. The food was prepared quickly and was good quality meats n fresh veggies. Bread was also good. Great food! Tried this place for the first time and it was amazing! Small vegetarian selection which ended up working out. I got a vegetarian club and the crawfish soup. The club had goat cheese (I did not prefer it so will swap it out next time) with portobello mushroom straps, red and yellow bell pepper, and pesto. The veggies were cooked perfectly and the pesto was great. Wish there was a touch more on the sandwich- overall. The soup was good but didn't have the strong crawfish flavor I hoped for. We were told it'd have spices but it wasn't as strong. But it was still good! My mom got a chicken salad salad. It was enormous and took her forever to eat. What can I say about this place besides it being Over-priced, small portions, and not good? I think that about sums it up. 3 of us ate there and 3 of us didn't finish our tiny sandwiches and ended up going somewhere else. What a waste; what a shame. I would rather a drive thru than this place and if you know me, that's not good. Even if their prices were lower I still wouldn't eat there again. It's just not good. So are there any positives?
