Very good choice for lunch. I ended up here with a friend for a work event. It was really good. The service was good, and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

I've been here a few times now and every single time, the food absolutely blows me away. The value for what you get with your money is great, the flavors are fantastic, food is served piping hot, and the staff is friendly! It seems to be very authentic cuisine and is a huge hit with the locals for a reason. Inside is very Mediterranean themed, with items for sale as well as a large dining area.

In town, visiting relatives and wanted to expose them to a different cuisine than southern faire. When we arrived, we were seated quickly and the server was very personable. After a brief perusal of the menu, we ordered Lamb Chops, Lamb Shank and Redfish plates, with a side of Falafel and another side of gyro meat. After a short wait, the server brought out plates of hummus and salad with warm pita bread. The hummus was silky smooth and had a really nice, balanced flavor. They brought the falafel and I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the pieces. They were large and crispy and very flavorful with a lovely, slight spicy aftertaste. Perfection! I really had high expectations after that. Unfortunately, the lamb chops, lamb shank and the redfish were not very flavorful. The fish and the lamb shank were overcooked and slightly tough and lacked seasoning. The lamb chops, while not overcooked, also lacked flavor. Even the gyro meat was not very flavorful and had a rubbery texture that made me question the content/quality of the mixture. If I lived in the area, I would probably give them another chance just based on the perfect hummus and falafel.

We LOVE this place. The food is always amazing and the staff make us feel welcome. Every time we come our food comes out fast and the portions are huge!

I love this place and we when we are in town and friend from Ocean springs come up we come here. I saw the reviews for their Lebanese Ice Tea thinking it would be an Arnold Palmer. Oh no it is so good! You need to try it! We had the lunch chicken shawarma which also comes with a salad, hummus, and pita bread. I opted for veggies instead of rice. $4 up chg I'm trying to eat healthy. It was plenty of food. You will not go hungry here. Everything is so fresh here. The service is great! I look forward to visiting again!

Decided to stop here on a road trip through Hattiesburg and we were definitely glad we did! I have a very sensitive stomach and had been eating out a lot on our trip so my tummy was actually not feeling very good... Yet, as soon as I started drinking the Lebanese tea and eating my vegetarian platter I immediately started feeling better! I'm not sure what it was exactly, but regardless the food definitely tasted good and we enjoyed the small business atmosphere along with the service. If we are ever passing through Hattiesburg again, we would definitely return. Also, we got a good laugh at their sign advertising their late hours on the door on the way out...

Prompt service, delicious food and a great atmosphere! We spent the night in Hattiesburg for a concert and will absolutely be returning to Petra's if we find ourselves back in Hattiesburg again.

Hummus with Lamb -- preferred the chicken shawarma

I need to be honest with you: Mediterranean food is my favorite. I ordered the lamb and hummus. Lamb is my go to, so that's what I went with. The flavor was off for the lamb, but the salad was tasty and so seasoned! The rice is buttery and fluffy. Hummus tasted homemade and yummy. My husband ordered the chicken shawarma and I was jealous. The flavor of the chicken was better to me. We ended with baklava but this was the driest baklava I've had. We were greeted by an older gentleman who directed a younger man to serve us. We witnessed the older gentleman being kind, friendly and open, perhaps the owner? The younger man who served us was less attentive providing the wrong drinks and bringing four of us two menus. My photos are dark as it was... relatively dim. But I liked the environment and appreciated the music though it was a little loud. (We visited another restaurant a few days later with no music and gosh... I appreciated the music here)

Vegetarian Falafel Plate

Excellent, thoughtful service. The food was great. Generous portions and good prices. Really satisfied overall! I got the Falafel Plate and Lebanese iced tea. I tried the Gyro as well and it was fantastic. Ambiance is nice. They have grocery-type offerings such as coffee and olive oil as well.

My honey loves Greek food, as do I, so we're trying this place that has great reviews. She's back!!!!!!! :-)

Went to the bar, nice big wooden bar, comfortable seating, lots of cool taps on the wall, with variety of beers.. had a little bit of nostalgia:) Bartender was very friendly, suggested a few things, we got the whole wings in Buffalo and Korean BBQ. The lighting is a bit dim for our old eyes but otherwise it has the feel of a pub. We loved that. Our server was very nice and helpful. We ordered the bacon cheddar fries. The fries are like a cottage fries that are then cut into strips. Perfect fry on them. The bacon could have been crispier but great flavor and a good ranch. I had the KPauls pasta. We all enjoyed it. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente. If you love a saucy pasta this isn't for you. It is nice and creamy but not swimming in it. Big plump shrimp that tasted great. Also has chunks of chicken breast and sliced sausage. Uncle Jim got the red beans and rice. Great flavor but barely warm. The catfish is a thicker cut and battered in a coarsely ground corn meal. Aunt Robin had the shrimp and grits. Those were the star of the show. So creamy and incredible flavor. Very generous amount of nice sized shrimp. Mike had the Keg Stand burger. He requested the sauce on the side. It's definitely a unique flavor. Nice soft bun. The meat was grossly over cooked but would have been tasty had it not been so dry. The onion rings that came with the burger were soggy. Overall, enjoyed it. We know what to get next time. Shrimp and grits and KPauls pasta!!

Locals know this place is great. If you're traveling to Hattiesburg for any reason, like a…read moregraduation or baseball game or football game. This is the review for you. There are absolutely no shortages of places to eat in Hattiesburg. Some visiting might lean towards safe places with menu items they feel secure and safe with, and there's nothing wrong with that. But, if that's you you're missing out on some amazing food. Today I took my wife for mother's day as they had some special items on their menu, while also keeping their regular menu available. We started with their standard dumpling appetizer. We get it everytime we eat there and they're delicious every time. The meals we picked were the the kimchi cabanara and the shrimp and grits. Both on their special mother's day menu. Both were absolutely delicious with fresh ingrediants, balanced seasonings and amazing flavors. I'm Italian and grew up eating traditional family Sunday dinners but this bowl of pasta was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere of the place is very modern with a combination of traditional asian features mixed with some modern MTV inspired artwork. If you're into craft cocktails they got you covered as well. The only miss we had to day was our server never came back to take our dessert order, when we asked to order it he confused what we said for the bill and brought that instead. Not a deal breaker, we were actually too full for it anyway and we've had their desserts before. They always inventive and delicious. At the end of the day, one small service hiccup wasn't enough to overshadow what was an outstanding meal and experience. In a city packed with chain restaurants and predictable menus, places like this are what make Hattiesburg's food scene worth exploring. If you're willing to step outside your comfort zone a little, you'll be rewarded with creative dishes, quality ingredients, and flavors you'll still be thinking about on the drive home. We'll absolutely be back.

Cocktails were creative and beautifully presented. The food was great - eclectic Asian would be my descriptor. We had the pickled veggies which included kim chi, black garlic, poblanos, pickles, and collards. The assortment was very nice. The pork and shrimp dumplings were a bit firmer than I'm used to, but not in a bad way, and the flavors were excellent. The pot roast egg rolls were a fun mashup. The okra was delicious - perfectly cooked and great balance of flavors. The pork belly buns were my favorite item. Lots of tender, crispy pork on a cloud soft bun. Yum! I will definitely return if in the area.

We pulled up and noticed that the GOS location was pointing to a hotel building. The cocktails were well made, and they came out in a timely manner Our server was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Overall, the service was good. We did try to slightly modify a couple of the dishes, and one couldn't be modified, and another was just disregarded, but everything tasted good This isn't the most inexpensive spot for happy hour, but it is a nice atmosphere Some tips: Definitely go the tapas route so you can try a variety of dishes. The firecracker shrimp was one of my favorites Cheers!

They are regularly out of various wines, beers, and food items. They have already shrunk the food menu to an unappetizing limited menu and the quality is below the IHG standard. Perhaps instead of remodeling a perfectly good space, IHG should have invested in better menu items, more consistent food preparation, and beverages patrons actually want on the menu. The local patrons meet or outnumber hotel patrons most nights during the week, but repeated requests for better food and alcohol selections are ignored. I just want it to be better. It's one of our only options available in the evening in midtown!

Pita - perfect, little chewy, not dry and crunchy. Hummus - yum. Just right, not so creamy it's like paste but not chunky. Reminiscent of the texture of the hummus from Mellow Mushroom, but with much better pita. Wife got the spanakopita and I'm not going to say I regret not ordering it myself, but I'll definitely order it on a return visit. The phyllo was perfectly crisp and the stuffing inside was creamy and delightful. It came with a Greek salad that utilizes their house dressing that is unlike anything I've ever experienced before. It lightened the salad perfectly and I'll bring it up again. My son and I ordered gyros with "Greek Fries". Do yourself a favor and order these fries. Crispy fries - like Indy's/Checkers with a sprinkling of fresh Feta crumbles, oregano, and drizzled with that Greek dressing. I can't say enough about the dressing. It's just not what I expected- I guess I'm used to the bottled Greek dressing that doesn't even come close to this stuff. It's a perfect balance of flavor, acidity, and surprisingly a little sweet. The Gyros: Chicago add Feta - there must have been a pound of perfectly crispy on the edges juicing the middle sliced beef/lamb along with all the toppings. The Biloxi- that pound of beef/lamb with a half pound of perfectly cooked shrimp thrown in. Nearly two hours later we were still comfortably full. Service was exceptional. In addition to our attentive and informative server everyone who passed by checked on us with a quick comment or gesture, but not so much as to be overwhelming or annoying. In other words, service was just right. I'd love to say we had dessert, but I'll have to save my review of the baklava for another post - maybe later tonight - they don't close til 8:00!
