Crawdaddy Philly and a Cranberry Juice
    Chan H.

Came for the Sunday brunch menu. I got the steak and eggs, and it was cooked perfectly. Very big juicy thick steak. I'm pretty sure this thing was bigger than 7 oz. My wife got the Crawdaddy Philly, and it was beautifully flavorful, very meaty, and the garlic aioli sauce complimented the entire sandwich very nicely. The bun that was on tasted freshly made. Our server made sure that we were okay, kept the drinks flowing and any mistakes that were made were quickly and expeditiously rectified. I ordered my eggs with a few extra flourishes and it was handled incredibly well. We're from Florida, and we were thoroughly impressed with everything here. Top notch!!

I walked in and was greeted by a nice young lady with a wonderful attitude. She was very nice. She asked if we would like a table or a booth. We both opted for the booth. They immediately came to get our app and drink order. We just chose water, no lemon. It was out quickly. The water was soft. Not too much. While sitting at the table we noticed they have wifi. I got on right off. My google phone automatically chose the right wifi. His on the other hand, "the fruit" made you have to choose, be wrong and choose again.. The atmosphere is laid back and very down home. The music is a decibel or two too high, great selection though. The food took a little bit to come out. When it did it was beautifully plated. There was a chip in his plate. But nothing an onion wouldn't cover. Now to get down to the nitty gritty... We both had the blackened redfish, grilled squash and onions, and asparagus. The asparagus was very tasty even though it was a bit limp. The redfish had a great seasoning but the chef had a bit of a heavy hand with the salt. The crawfish sauce on top was very creamy with a slight heat to it. It was tasty. After a few bites we noticed a very fishy flavor coming from the skin left on the bottom. We did put some of the onions and squash that were very good with a hint of sweet to extinguish a bit of the flare from the salt, but it changed the flavor dramatically. The service dropped off a bit after we got our food. We did have to wait a bit to get a waitress. I would recommend trying it to see how you like it. I will come back and try a different option. Maybe a steak next time. See specs below. The parking lot was clean and free of potholes. It looks as though they have a good amount of spaces as well. Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. The restaurant has a good theme but is lacking in some decor. The lights were neatly themed and there were a couple ( I saw 2) nascar style hoods on the wall along with an engine block in a corner for decoration. This place is fairly new so with a few more items they will have a nice theme going on. The floors were simple painted concrete, like a garage. The service was good and attentive and the food was typical. Prices were a little high for the food but the everything tasted good. I had a fried shrimp appetizer with a "boom boom" style sauce and country fried steak with skillet potatoes. Everything was good while the shrimp seemed to be a very small portion, the country fried steak was huge. The restroom did need some attention as the trash was overflowing from the day before, we were the first customers in for the day. Would stop back in if passing through at lunchtime.

The food is amazing & the service is awesome. This is definitely "My Favorite Restaurant" in Petal or Hattiesburg.

Loved the Rockefeller and Chargrilled but was not crazy about the Elote with the corn and and little spicy. Just a personal preference. We also ordered the Boogie Bombs that were so good with the pepper jelly. For entrees I ordered the Blackened Redfish which come which vegetables and grits. The sauce over the redfish was great! It complemented the Redfish. The only thing that I would improve on would be the grits. They were a little dry. My husband ordered the pepperoni pizza and Ashley recommended the pepper jelly with it. We had great service. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend this place.

The lighting is a bit dim for our old eyes but otherwise it has the feel of a pub. We loved that. Our server was very nice and helpful. We ordered the bacon cheddar fries. The fries are like a cottage fries that are then cut into strips. Perfect fry on them. The bacon could have been crispier but great flavor and a good ranch. I had the KPauls pasta. We all enjoyed it. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente. If you love a saucy pasta this isn't for you. It is nice and creamy but not swimming in it. Big plump shrimp that tasted great. Also has chunks of chicken breast and sliced sausage. Uncle Jim got the red beans and rice. Great flavor but barely warm. The catfish is a thicker cut and battered in a coarsely ground corn meal. Aunt Robin had the shrimp and grits. Those were the star of the show. So creamy and incredible flavor. Very generous amount of nice sized shrimp. Mike had the Keg Stand burger. He requested the sauce on the side. It's definitely a unique flavor. Nice soft bun. The meat was grossly over cooked but would have been tasty had it not been so dry. The onion rings that came with the burger were soggy. Overall, enjoyed it. We know what to get next time. Shrimp and grits and KPauls pasta!!

I'm not sure where to begin with this review, because we very much wanted to enjoy this restaurant,…read morebut it was not a very good experience in any sense. We were in Hattiesburg for the night and found Murky Waters through their website, which indicated through their menu, photos, prices, and their suggestion that reservations should be made that this was elevated southern barbecue. It is not. Which is fine, if that's what you're serving and charging for. But here's what we got: "Smoked ahi tuna dip" = canned tuna salad ($12.95, served with Keebler Club crackers) Ham & cheese po' boy- it was just a ham and cheese sandwich on a long roll, and the roll was cold ($13.95) My son liked the brisket, but said the Mac & cheese was not good. My family got refills on their drinks, but my drink came in a smaller glass and I didn't get a refill. We all got soda, so I'm not sure why. The restaurant is pleasant, but we were seated directly in front of the window unit air conditioner so we had to decide which one of us would be the most uncomfortable while eating. The bill was over $100. After discussing it, we all felt that we would have felt better about the entire thing if the food had been more fairly represented and priced. If you go, don't order the tuna.
