One of my favorite buffets ever!! Their food always tastes homemade and delicious!! This is a buffet with a few entrees, lots of options for sides, and they have desert and ice cream!! Somebody is puttin' somthin' in da chicken in Purvis! Let me tell you the fried chicken is off the charts good. They must marinate or brine the bird cuz there is flavor thru and thru and the crust is so good! It's like the texture of Church's with Colonel's 11 herbs and spices. ..but better than both! This is your classic country buffet (at least at lunch). They had bird 3 ways (one baked with soy and herbs), fried fish, meatloaf (with ketchup baked on top) and all sorts of well seasoned vegetables..limas, green peas, black eye's, turnip greens, etc. along with corn bread. If you have no other restaurant to eat at, if you want to over eat, if you want blan tasting fried food and you don't care about cleanliness.....this might be your go to place. We were quickly sat at a booth - that was the best service we got in this restaurant. It went down from there. Not that our waitress didn't care, she was covering a lot of tables. The booth we sat in was broken down, dirty, sticky, and greasy when we sat. The waitress wiped off the worn, unstable, table top. After wiping, it was still just as greasy and sticky as before wiping. I don't know why it didn't clean, but along with sitting so low in a booth, it made the meal less pleasant. Atmosphere is that of a big, open buffet - Loud, crowded and smells. It's somewhat like being herded into a crowded cattle pen. In their buffet line they offer the typical fried foods, watered overcooked vegetables, dry rolls, and over-sweet canned puddings and dry cakes for desert. The more you eat, the more you get for your dollar. And, there are a lot of people who don't want to pay for a clean restaurant, nor quality, well-prepared food, and don't care about atmosphere, privacy, nor service when they spend their money to eat out. This place keeps a lot of us senior types healthy. They have several well cooked vegetables every day. Excellent wait staff. Costs 13 bucks and that includes drinks and dessert. The salad bar is always fresh. I love this place and eat here 3-4 times a week. read more

I've ate lunch here with coworkers at least once and sometimes twice a week for the last few months. If you like country style buffets, this is your place. Never disappoints! Great food and awesome service. The waitress staff here are top notch. Those ladies will never let your drink come close to empty. I'll be back again and again! This is a great little home style cooking place. They have a great buffet with good,fresh food. The service is great and staff is friendly. They also serve a different kind of dessert on certain nights of every night they are opened. They have a place uo front you can buy little gifts or something for yourself and even offer takeout. By the way the sweet tea is good also!! They have a salad bar and you can also order if don't want what they have. What more could you ask for?!!
