Just good catfish fried the right way Hush puppies are the best anywhere Consistency is the key

A little bit of good, a little bit of less good... First impression? LOUD. So so loud, hectic, and the overall feeling of eating in a noisy fellowship hall or cafeteria. One of the worst parts was shouting across the table because we couldn't hear each other. A redeeming factor- the catfish was good! We got the two blackened (or non-fried) options to try. The sides were your typical fried or cookout-like sides. The hush puppies were delicious and the coleslaw was coleslaw. I forget what else we got, but it was as expected if nothing else. We did order a side of fried pickles that was extremely disappointing. The pickles were dried out (I'm talking completely dehydrated) and shriveled up in an extra crunchy fried coating that fell apart easily, and easily were one of the most salty things we've ever eaten. Out of the massive bowl, we finished maybe a handful of them. The meal finishes off with free ice cream, and we didn't realize that we'd read an old menu on Google that said Blue Bell was the ice cream served... you can probably imagine the disappointment upon discovering that it was plain non-blue bell soft serve served in a Dixie cup. But hey- it was complimentary. We appreciated it. We didn't interact with many of the staff, but the two we did were very friendly. The waiter alone was wonderful. In conclusion, it was costly for what it was. I'm honestly surprised that this place stays quite as busy as it does because of the prices alone. Good for them, I guess. With some little improvements, this place could really be great. read more

Curb side service pick up.... Order placed at 625 told it would be ready at 650. Told to check in via text when I arrived. Did that at 649. Called at 7 to confirm they had received notification I was there. Told yes they did. Order not brought to my car until 725. Order was supposed to have fries. Instead it had chips. read more

This is a hole in the wall with some great food and great service. I love these type of establishments. They are family owned and operated. Not much to choose from, but what they have is really good! Southern hospitality at its finest with friendly attentive servers, greeted with hardy y'all's and a smile. As soon as we sat down, flavorful hot Hush puppies and slaw were served family style. They were replenished as wanted through out the meal. All of the food was delivered hot and delicious but the Onion Ring Appetizers could have been the best I have ever had! Good food, meh service. First time to this fish house! I was really excited because I've heard so many great things. I feel like my husband and I were prepared by going early because we were told this place gets packed and it does! We got there about 4:30pm I'll start by saying the food was good. I did the AYCE whole catfish and my husband had a burger. My husband had no complaints on his burger. I am a catfish fiend. As in I was prepared to take on at least 6 whole catfish. For the AYCE, they start you with 2 pieces of fish and then will bring you more upon request. This was great and all except it took 30 minutes to get my second 2 pieces of fish.. Now I get it, they're busy, they're taking care of other tables, but I feel like there was miscommunication or something happened for me or anyone to have to wait that long at a restaurant whose whole idea is fried catfish. And a place that is consistently busy would have a rhythm of how to take care of their busy dining room. When I finally got my second set of fish, I asked for a refill of my drink. I never got it, and I finally caved and decided I was done eating. So like 4 whole catfish for $18. When our waitress finally came around after another 20 minutes, I told her I was done. We were offered free ice cream as this is something they do so my husband agreed to some to-go. All in all, the food was good, the people were friendly, but I left unsatisfied with the service. Nice place folks are really nice and the food is great I am not able to say anything bad about this place to me it's awsome I loved the grilled fish Cole slaw and hush puppies I'm not a French fry person yea I like em but not going out of my way for them but these we just down right perfect. It was loud and the fish was okay. It's a dry county and you can't drink. The atmosphere is equivalent to eating lunch in a cafeteria.

It looked alright and it wasn't bad! wished it had some walls in between stuff since it was extremely loud. but food ain't bad.

Big fan. I dont usualy crave fish but when I do I need a lot of lemon slices to go with. O e of my favorite things about being there is that they don't mine that. They just do an I got you dog kinda thing and leave it at that. They're the only fish house I'll go to read more
