My very first visit to a TopGolf and I will say me and my 3 partners really enjoyed our 2 hour block. I found the Richmond location to be clean and well maintained. Everything in our suite or whatever they call it was in good condition. As for our server: she checked on us many times in our two our stay and kept our drinks filled, even the free soda refills. We did order a bunch of appetizers, which came out fairly quickly. We were pleased with all of them. Sorry no pictures for this review. Went to Topgolf for the first time and it was really fun. It was my first time doing any type of golf aside from mini golf. The staff was great and checked in on us occasionally to see if we needed anything. I didn't order any food, but my friends did and they seemed to love it. It was well-managed, the staff was friendly & attentive the whole time, checking in on us about every 5-10 minutes & refilling our drinks. I went to Topgolf for the first time for my birthday this year and had a blast. I went on an early Saturday and was given a bay on the bottom floor. The waitress was very nice and helped me get set up and explained a few of the games. After taking our order she gave us a birthday sign for the bay and a little later I had free complimentary doughnut holes. The facility was comfortable and well kept with music playing but not too loud. I played for 2 hours and enjoyed every moment. I tried a few drinks and found their mixed drinks to be tasty, but weak on the alcohol. I would recommended sticking with drafts or canned beverages. Can't wait to come back! read more

My husband and I checked out TopGolf in Richmond for the first time. We don't really drink, so we just ordered unsweetened iced teas. The waitress was a little slow with refills, and they weren't busy. But I think they focus on their drinking crowds. We didn't order food because we had dinner reservations (we were there midday between lunch and dinner). As for the game itself, it can get a little expensive depending on what time you go, but there are definitely deals if you can play in the off times. What's a great day! I drove down from Columbia, MD to Richmond, VA for my bachelor party with my groomsmen and a few other close friends. The wedding is less than a month away! Very exciting. This was my first time at this Top Golf location and I really enjoyed it. Our server was outstanding. She did well at pretty much everything one would expect from a waitress. Our orders were prepared correctly, she checked up on us from time to time and even gladly helped take our group photo. We paid online for the bay reservation beforehand and she brought our bills with the split bay charges applied. When we noticed it, she removed that charge since we already paid online. It was a minor mistake and she resolved it easily. The food was good as well. I enjoyed the chicken tacos and steak nachos. Some of my friends ordered wings, burgers and fries. All of the food looked and tasted good!! After our games we went out on the patio and just shared memories and prayed for the upcoming wedding . It was a great time. I'm so happy my first time golfing was at Topgolf. Although I have mini-golfed, I've never tried just golf. I came with a friend who has a membership that gets him and five guests in for free golf. There was a little wait to get a lane (not sure the proper name). We decided to sit by the bar and order some food and drinks. The guacamole is pretty tasty. My other friends loved the hummus and ordered extra carrot sticks for it. When a lane finally opened, it felt a bit like bowling. There was a computer where we got to put in our names and select the games we wanted to play. The servers here were amazing. They checked on us frequently and when we asked for some women's clubs, they brought them right away. The two coolest things about Topgolf for me were the automatic balls that come from where you hit the ball (you just wave your club by a sensor for it to come) and the computer that tracked your ball and showed you where it landed. This Top Golf location is well-maintained. Their app makes it extremely efficient for waiting patrons to be notified when their bay is ready without having to physically be at the location. If you need to wait, there are smaller games available for interim entertainment. My party of 7 was comfortably able to sit and play a few rounds of Bejeweled and Angry Bird during the Tuesday special ($37 total) for a family night out that lasted about an hour and a half. Our table ordered a Caesar salad wrap (lots of salad, not much chicken), buffalo wings (not a favorite), and nachos (a popular favorite). Unfortunately didn't get many pictures. We came for my brother's birthday and there was about 10 of us. We didn't have a reservation so we waited by the bar for the bay and had some drinks and apps which were good. The hummus was amazing! Then when we got the bay upstairs I'm not sure if it was the manager or what but she made a huge deal out of 10 people in one bay. Even though only six people were actually playing she said we can't all be at the same bay, which was frustrating. So, I took a male, woohoo, who was way more knowledgeable with gold, not so woohoo, so did I embarrass myself totally. Would I go again, totally. I didn't know what I was getting into, but he knew what to do and as I was sweating my balloons off, I noticed how weak my arms and hand eye coordination really are. Top golf comes with games also so you can practice your hits in a more interestingly animated way. They serve food here and drinks, regular as well as alcoholic, but it is also family friendly. I look forward to getting better and being able to throw down some sort of competition. The Venue here is large but thankfully we went on a slower day, so service was quick. The lot is just as big, so hopefully you should never have a problem finding a spot. The staff here are great too and helped with everything we needed. We have been here the past 2 years for my husbands work End of Year Holiday party, I look forward to it each time. The whole facility is clean every time we have been here, the staff extremely helpful when asking for help and drinks when needed. We had a catered dinner and the whole set up was great and the food was awesome. This place is perfect for new golfers and ones who have for a while, they have cool games you can play if you don't want to just hit the golf ball for points or practice, you can play a game like angry birds or sonic. They have children putters as well as left handed which is nice so you don't need to bring your own at all but they do have spaces for them if you have your own golf bag and such. I never thought I'd even be able to hit a golf ball far, let alone aim for targets and succeed, so I'm glad I was coaxed out at the end of July. I've since been back again, thanks to a $10 off game play code for completing their post-visit survey. I've only been on the third floor, which seems like a good perch. Servers were kind and prompt. I've ordered several of their cocktails as well as their iced coffee, cheeseburger, and mac bites. All were pretty solid. Angry Birds is a fun way to play in addition to the classic targets. Came here back in september for a day trip to richmond since we don't have one in raleigh. Came before noon to enjoy the lower price espcially since it was half off day. Original plans for the birthday boy were canceled due to rain and we spent the afternoon calling around trying to find something to do. Topgolf was suggested but no one in the group had ever been. We were concerned at the fact that it was raining and cold. To our understanding the bays were just open to the elements. When we arrived, check-in was smooth and easy. They told us our bay number and we went upstairs to go find it. If you don't feel like taking the stairs, no worries. There is an elevator located to the left of the check-in counter. Once we arrived upstairs, I loved that the numbers were displayed at the top of each bay, big enough to read. The bay was warm and not a drop of rain seemed to get in. There are two rows of heaters, one located closer to the front of the bay, and another towards the backend. They definitely were kicking and doing their job. I don't understand why the rain wasn't coming in but definitely appreciated it. Our waitress was prompt and always seem to be around just when we needed her. She took the time to explain how everything worked and showed us where everything was. We started our game and it seemed like we blinked before the food we ordered was there. The chips and queso were absolutely amazing. I loved the fact that the bowl was so big. For a group of four, we couldn't finish the bowl. My sweet tooth was kicking, so I also ordered a s'mores cookie. The cookie was a little bit overcooked. However, it was still good. I definitely would order it again. When they found out that it was our friends birthdays they went out of their way to make sure that he felt special. Driving range meets bowling alley. We've come a couple times with family and all had an awesome time. You rent a bay (heated in the winter) and can have up to 6 folks golfing. The $5pp lifetime membership fee is a little annoying, but after that the pricing is pretty fair, especially if you go earlier on a weekday. They even bring out kids clubs and have a game featuring "angry birds" that kept everyone engaged. And when everyone's attention span wanes, there's also free foosball inside.
