I recently attended a team-building event for work. We all had a great time and agreed we would go back again. Our hostess was very attentive and joined in our fun at times. One thing did bother us all...they wouldn't let us take any food-to-go. We had 4 huge platters of food for 7 people and they would not let us take it with us. The excuse they gave was, if we took it home and reheated it and we got sick, they would be liable...WHAT??? What a huge waste. What do they do with all of this food? This was my first time here. I've heard of top golf plenty of times but just never made the time to go. I was out of town and we were looking for something to do. We decided to come here and meet up with some friends that was from Baltimore that had moved to Texas. Top Golf is interesting though when they make you pay $20 to reserve a bay but the $20 don't go towards your final bill. Everyone there was nice and very accommodating. We needed an additional Bay because there was too many people in our party. They were able to place us in a bay right next to each other. So since you have to pay by the hour... You really have to plan and organize everything. It was interesting trying to play the game and really win, eat and drink. I felt overwhelmed at one point and I started to say hey just take my go for me.. I am feeling my drink and I want to finish my wings. This is most definitely one of my favorite places. I can not wait until they finish building the one in Baltimore. I will more than likely try and visit all the top golfs in every city. read more

Top golf is a great place to go and gets more people interested in golf. If you're a serious golfer, this might not make your list. But for people looking to have a good time and have a good experience with golf, this is fun. It's a three tiered driving range. They have a full bar and food. They have a rooftop outdoor area to relax as well as a place for pool and darts. Everyone can find something to do here. The facility is really nice. They have chips in the balls to measure distances and keep score during different games. It's pretty cool. The staff is more or less good. This varies by individual. The first time I went, Tiffany did an excellent job. I went yesterday, and the person working our area wasn't overly helpful. We asked for additional water, and she seemed bothered. Downside It is ridiculously expensive. You can go to a driving range for under $10. They charge an arm and a leg for the experience here. Which is fun, but only makes it worth it in groups. For the same price you could play 2 full rounds of golf at a decent club. Overall Worth it. Give it a shot, you will like it. Don't expect a cheap night. The more that go, the cheaper it will be. Such a good way to use switch up date night! Or brunch! We went here around 11:45 AM and it was just before the crowds so it was a perfect way to avoid a bunch of people! Stopped in for a bit of golf today, originally it was going to be a 45 min wait but ended up being like 15 which sucks because we didn't sit in the bay until 5:05 which put us i onto the next threshold for pricing ($47/hr after 5PM - even if you're there before 5 if you aren't in a bay before then, you have to pay pricing starting when you're in the bay) - that is one of the main reasons for the 3 stars. Second reason, we didn't have a server for about 15 mins after and didn't get out drinks until 40 mins after and even then we only got the beer pitcher and not the lemonade we ordered for my daughter... by the time that arrived we had about 10 mins left in the hour, it seemed to empty for that kind of service. Worst service! I was there for a company Christmas party that started at 2:00 pm. I arrived an hour early to eat lunch before they got busier. Since I was early, I sat at the bar. There may have been three occupied tables, including myself. I ordered a tea while I waited for a co-worker. When she arrived around 1:30, we ordered food at 1:41 pm and were told we had to pay. Weird because we didn't have our food? By 2:00 pm, they seated us outside at our bays. The bartender said he'd have the food taken out to us. It was now an hour later and no food. By this point, I didn't think we needed it because our company had ordered food for the party. I go to the bar and the bartender sees me and walks away. I then explain my situation to another employee. So she goes and checks on it. She then tells me that our food was delivered. I asked where? I saw food come out by a server but he delivered it to another person at a different party. She then went back and spoke to someone else. They then ask for our receipt. I told him you have it because we paid in advance. He then says he'll have to enter the order again into the system and they would bring it out when ready. I said fine. Waited and still nothing. By this point, we ate the finger foods that were set up for our party. We now decided we didn't need the order since we ate. I go back to the bar and try to talk to the bartender and he says he has nothing to do with the mixup. I believe he did because there was no follow through from the time he took the order. I then speak to the manager and tell him the story. He checks the computer and tells me our food was delivered a second time. I ask, "Where?", again. He doesn't know. The manager suggests to enter it into the system a third time. I ask if this is his best resolution to my complaint and the apparent error on their side? He then said he'll refund my card and my co-worker's card. I said that was fine but you will still bring us our food. We can take it to go, at this point.Worst service at the bar and worse customer resolution to a customer complaint that was their fault. What was more annoying, is people taking an order that they know isn't theirs and didn't pay for. read more

I've been to this Topgolf location twice. My first time at this location was a couple getaway September 2018 and this visit was for my bachelorette party! My party was on the lower bay this time. I would have preferred the upper bay again for the reviews but it was extremely busy. Our server Katie made me feel extremely special. She congratulated me serval times and provides me Injection donut holes with congratulations written on a large plate! They were fresh and amazing. The raspberry and chocolate we're my favorite injections. In addition, to the donuts I tried the veggie burger and fries. It was delicious. If I could add one thing to the burger it would be a chipotle sauce of some sort. Over all my experience was great and my tribe would agree. read more

My husband loves golf and I like drinking, so what a perfect combo of playing golf and having alcohol and food. Plus, it wasn't that hot and we went on a 100 degree day at 1:30pm. There are tons of fans and of course you need a cold drink to cool you down! If you're not familiar, top golf is golf with different targets. You get points for different color targets and distance. I recommend going in the morning from opening (9am) to noon to get the best rate. It can be a bit pricey. From 9-12 it is $20 per hour. Then, it is $40 from noon to close. There is also a one-time $5 membership fee you pay upon joining. If you want some snacks or drinks, there is a good menu with good variety. I recommend the club sandwich and fries. read more

I visited Topgolf for the first time last week. There is a large parking lot in front. I think most people use the provided clubs located at each driving bay but I brought my own. The first thing I noticed was the impressive front of the building with with as many front steps as the US Supreme Court in D.C! If you bring your own bag, keep in mind you've got a hill to climb! Walking in I realized that this is a nice place with a restaurant and concierge to assist with all of your golfing needs. You first have to get a membership card to use the driving facility which costs a one time fee of $5 plus tax. You then proceed to your driving bay on one of 3 levels. I went to a bay on the middle level which was about 20 above the driving surface. Each bay, has a seating area that will easily accomodate 6 people with comfortable seats and a table. There are also tv monitors for your sports viewing pleasure. The golf balls have electronic chips in them that distinguishes your ball from others in your party. I am no expert but it seemed like the balls compression is not as high as regular golf balls but that may be my imagination. I enjoyed my time here. There are several circle targets that you aim for to get points if your ball falls in. Distances range from 25 to about 200 yards. After that your ball will hit the back net so this place is not as conducive to someone that can really hit their driver. You will have a waiter show up periodically to see if you want to order any food or drink. I did order one of their flatbread pizzas and thought it was good for about $10. Costs to play is by time with rates starting at $25/hr. in the a.m. to $35 in the afternoon and $45 after 5 p.m. It's expensive to come by yourself but 3-4 players can do this at a reasonable cost. I would be glad to come back but look at this as more entertainment with friends than seriously working on your game. read more

My morning started off rough so I decided to take a drive, to help get my day back on track I figured why not do something different and try out Topgolf? So I pulled into the lot and as I saw everyone going inside it felt like Disneyland! I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of it all, it's as if I was at a resort or something. I walked in and immediately was greeted and set up for an hour of golfing. I was nervous at first because I never played golf before, but after I got into the interactive games I wasn't worried about other guests. Because it's such a welcoming environment you will see other guests hitting the ball off course or even missing. Topgolf Katy prefers to only open their lower deck for their customers. Why would you only have lower deck open with an hour + wait for customers? There's THREE decks here!!! A full 60% of your facility is available for customers to use and you make them wait an hour??? We were told there "might" be room for our family to wait in bar. If not, were were welcome to sit in outside area while we waited in full July afternoon heat, no shade. I'd wait in A.C. to play if facility was full. But, wait an hour outside because TG only operates at 30%??? Fuck no! Absolutely nothing to do with covid safety. All players were concentrated in one area...not spead out. It's easier on them, that's why. If you are vacationing or visiting with family, drop your cash elsewhere. Plenty of other options in Houston. I'm astonished how stupid they are. read more

The staff is very nice and accommodating, they took their time and explained everything to us since it was our first time. You basically rent the golf bay per hour, $25/hr before noon, noon to a certain time, its $35/hr and at night it's $45/hr. Each person has to pay a one time $5 lifetime membership fee to play which I thought was ridiculous. It was a good time had by all, yes, I would most likely be back and celebrate an occasion here. The lack of the perfect rating is because of the expensive prices to play and eat. read more

This time (two weeks later), they were out of queso (for chips and queso)... how are you going to be out of queso in Texas?!? Anyhow. They had the cheese for the pretzel bites (pretty sure it's the same stuff as the "queso" for the chips). We ordered 2 plates of nachos - and there was queso drizzled on those (hmmmm). Had to send one order of the nachos back because they were - well - gross. Got a burger in place of the nachos - it looked like a cafeteria burger. For Golf - it was a great time. For our teenager party - the food All American party pack was not. The so called beef brisket was absolutely horrid. No one ate it. We complained to two managers about it (I actually thought it was pulled pork vs brisket. ). They did nothing. So we ate the chicken fingers which was good. But the rest was so so. Brisket was chewy, hard, and the sauce was too salty and peppery to eat. Don't order it. 8 teenage boys and 3/4 of it remained after 2 hours - that really tells the story. 30 minutes after leaving the golfing event, did I realize I left some personal items. These items were not tremendously expensive but were of sentimental value. Called them for over 18 hours and no one answered the phone. It was a 1.5 hour drive for us so we kept calling. In fact, it became so comical our entire party of 8 placed bets who could get in contact with a person. Finally one person got a manager on the phone and they had our merchandise. Great! Said they would keep in my name. My wife drove down a few days later and no one could find the merchandise, even the manager! They said after 2 days they turn it over to charity!!! Since we do a lot of corporate business with them I concluded to no longer do business with Top Golf. What if a member of our party had a family who had an emergency and needed to get a hold of a person at the event? And they don't even answer the phone for 18 hours. Why would a large party or any family want to do business with a company who doesn't value safety or security. Once my wife showed up trying to retrieve the merchandise, their attitude was "oh well, not here, sorry about you!" This place is definitely tons of fun for a golfer or a non golfer such as my self. We came here as a group of 8 for an afternoon session of golf on a Saturday. Upon arriving, we were put on a waitlist as all tee lanes were occupied. We went downstairs in one of the waiting areas, where they had complimentary pool tables. We shot pool for about 30 minutes before our number was buzzed. We went to second floor to play tee time. Every lane was occupied and their were tons of people. It was game time. We each get a playing card which is ours to keep. I believe it's $5 for the first time as a registered guest and then U use it every time u return to top golf. They also have a nice food service. Our waiter brought us the menu and we went with burgers which were accompanied with French fries. The burgers tasted pretty good. They do have an extensive menu of items, which U would usually find in a bar. Our food came quick and we continued golfing while eating between rounds. We hung around for about couple of hours and then dispersed off. A great place to come on the weekends. I have visited here on weekend nights and the wait was about an hour plus, so please plan accordingly. read more

Topgolf is SUCH a great place to go with a group. When it's busy waiting for a bay might take awhile but it's worth it for sure. They've got a solid bar to hold you over until it's time to start swinging that club. If you're hungry grab a menu and pick anything you see because it's all wonderful. Seriously? I paid $110 just to reserve the lan, and $440 to use the lane, $120 for everyone's membership fee, and then I need to add 20% tip on top of these for what???? I like this company but this is my first time at this location. I came with my family during the Thanksgiving weekend and the wait was an hour. As always the food and drinks are nice and in the bar area the music was way too loud. I think someone finally said something and they turned it down some. Waiter/waitresses and customers couldn't even talk to one another without yelling. Wish I had taken a picture of the chicken nachos but I was so hungry I ate them so fast. Lol. There were plenty of parking that night. Probably due to the fact it's Thanksgiving. If I'm ever in town again I'll definitely come back to this location.
