Topgolf is SUCH a great place to go with a group. When it's busy waiting for a bay might take awhile but it's worth it for sure. They've got a solid bar to hold you over until it's time to start swinging that club. If you're hungry grab a menu and pick anything you see because it's all wonderful. The course is setup in such a way that it's almost impossible not to hit one of the pockets which makes it fun for everyone because your bay will automatically keeps score for you...it's awesome! Seriously...plan a night out here...I promise you won't regret it. -McLovin read more

It's gonna be a fun place sometimes it's overcrowded the ambience and the food was good

Great experience as always! Came here with my coworkers for a team building event and had so much fun. Everyone loved the food and drinks. I ordered the chicken tacos and they were cooked to perfection. My colleague ordered a flatbread and she kept talking about how great it was. We had a minor issue with two entrees (chicken nuggets and fries) being cold but the sweet manager and waitress made up for it by bringing out a new hot entree and giving us complimentary donut holes! Can't wait to be back! read more

Will have fun when we get a bay but waiting in the bar area for a server is ridiculous. I went to the bar to order food and drinks and the bartender said a server will attend to you. Forty minutes in (Waiting for bay) and no one has come to ask for water or anything. read more

I like this company but this is my first time at this location. I came with my family during the Thanksgiving weekend and the wait was an hour. As always the food and drinks are nice and in the bar area the music was way too loud. I think someone finally said something and they turned it down some. Waiter/waitresses and customers couldn't even talk to one another without yelling. Wish I had taken a picture of the chicken nachos but I was so hungry I ate them so fast. Lol. There were plenty of parking that night. Probably due to the fact it's Thanksgiving. If I'm ever in town again I'll definitely come back to this location. I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 due to the wait. They always have long wait times at their locations. read more

Server didn't give me my 12 cents back in change. I didn't even order drinks or anything so there was no reason to tip. I want my 12 cents dammit. read more

what's not fun about going and slapping some balls around no matter the weather, in the summer they have fans in the winter they have heaters it's under cover so you don't get very wet unless the rain is blowing sideways. each server has a couple days so the service seems to be pretty good however they do have to go a long way to get the drinks in the food so if you forget to tell them something you may have to wait for a little bit. The food is always good comes out warm never had a problem with it. Good time to take out clients and co-workers for parties and even celebrate and relax with some friends. read more

Let me preface this review by saying I have only been to TopGolf for after work libations, never to golf! I think it's a pretty good atmosphere to indulge in HH. I'd suggest getting there before 6 if you want to find a parking spot and a seat. I believe we got there around 5ish and the parking lot was already pretty full but the bar wasn't nearly as full as when we left around 8ish. The service was iffy. We had someone working our table that clearly knew nothing about alcohol or their happy hour specials. He went back and forth about 4 times before another guy accompanied him and we got answers to basic questions. Their drinks were decent, the street tacos were delish as were the flatbreads! The breeze from the open windows, the lights...everything about this place screams great hh atmosphere. Security on a golf cart was super friendly and gave us a ride to our cars... With it being so close to my job, definitely coming back. Probably not to golf though, 3 hour wait times??? *cue Sweet Brown* ain't nobody got time fa dat!!!!! read more

So the new social spot to be at in the burbs has finally finished construction. As it was being started people were buzzing since it's right off the intersection of two major freeways, hwy 6 and i-10. They got themselves a big chunk of land to place the upscale driving range along with a mighty big sized parking lot. The rates are $20 for non peak hours, 10am-6pm and 6pm-close it's 40 an hour. For this rate you will get a private "bay" where you can drive from. It comes with unlimited balls that dispense one at a time and a range of various clubs from drivers to pitching wedges. This means no clubs are necessary to play. However, they do have an area for you to store your own set if you so choose. As far as the driving range goes, it's a three story driving range and instead of just an open field there are various targets for you to aim at. Think of it kind of like driving range meets darts. There are various flagged off areas which will give you different points for hitting its various rings. The balls have tracking chips inside to determine your points. You can pick different games from the touch screen LCD. In addition to the price per hour for the bay there is a cost for membership. You can have the basic level for $5 for a one time fee, $100 for their gold, and $250 for their platinum. They have various perks, for a person who might go twice a year, the $5 would do just fine for now. This goes on to my first complaint, the cards can be faulty, mine stopped responding and it took 20 minutes for the attendant to fix the problem, they did credit us more time but still a hassle. The bay next to us the ball feeder broke and they were also credited. It's too new to have this many problems. Other little tidbits, they have outdoor heat lamps built in that keeps it quite toasty for the few months a year in Houston it is actually cold. We came right when it opened at 10 am, we were the 2nd group out on the range. While we were waiting a huge line started to form. By the time we left at noon the wait was over an hr. So I suggest coming early to avoid the long lines. They were really smart though, because they built multiple lounge areas on all levels so that people who are waiting can order food and drinks and rack up their bills even before playing. Overall, I think it's a fun change of pace of things to do, if I lived closer I might go more often, but either way I need to fix my swing it's terrible! read more

I had a lot of fun at Topgolf. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't too crowded. There were lots of fans around to keep it breezy even though the weather was really hot. You could also always step right inside if you needed some air conditioning. The variety of games available to play was nice, especially for a novice like me. My complaint is that in our one hour there, our waitress only came by one time to see if we wanted anything, and then brought our beers out to us. Then she pretty much disappeared. Not only did she not come by to see if we wanted anything else to drink, she didn't even come by before the hour ended to bring us our bill. We had to walk inside to the bar to pay our tab. read more

The game is a lot of fun. The computer even lets you split payments which is awesome for groups. Too bad the software sucks and is super slow and terrible at touch software. Food...was terrible. So overpriced for something so tiny! Service is really slow. It takes forever to get drinks and water out after we ordered. I would have rated it way more if the food wasn't so bad and overpriced. read more

This place is HUGE!!! Came here with my entourage and had a very good time. Love that they serve food and drinks. You can play pool here as well. It's crowded and busy but not so much so that you can't get good service or have fun. They have three levels where you can play golf, or practice your swing in my case. Golf has always seemed boring to me but it is fun to play here. Will be back for sure. read more

Fun place to go to. Wayyy to overpriced however and the drinks were overpriced as well. Moscow mules were good didn't seem like there was any alcohol in them however. This is like... Celebration Station for adults! (If you remember Celebration Station from back in the day). I have to preface my review with the fact that I didn't have to endure the 2-4 hour wait for a bay- my friends got there way early and I joined them later after they had finally started playing. The outdoor bays have two rows of heaters so that you can keep warm during the oh-so-insufferable Texan winters. (Jokes aside, really, I was really relieved that there were heaters because it was cold that day). Everyone was drinking beer, so I asked the waitress "do ya'll have liquor?" and she said with emphasis, "DO we!" So Crown it was for me. Each bay has sets of clubs for you to borrow while you are there- they have sets for both men and women. The "driving range" is set up with several brightly-neon-lit pits, and when you hit a ball successfully into a pit, you get points. Guys, take note, if anyone has told you to grow some balls, they are unlimited here when you pay for the hour. When you wave your club over the sensor, the next ball automatically comes out. You don't have to have played golf to get the hang of it, and I will admit that you get rewarded for just batting the ball into the closest neon pit... unless you're already pretty decent, you don't have much of an incentive to hold the golf club properly and play for real. The food was better than I expected for a place like this, but nothing that you would crave later. I docked two stars because: 1) The location is really far from central Houston. 2) Currently, the wait time for a bay is ludicrous. The wait time often exceeds how long you play! 3) After we ordered another hour, all of the bays on our level stopped working. It took them 30-45 minutes to resolve the problem. Some people who had just finally gotten a bay after waiting for hours were REALLY pissed. All in all, it's very novel for now. The unique atmosphere is fun, but some of the problems need to be worked out before I'd recommend becoming a regular here. read more

TopGolf doesn't need an introduction. Anybody who's anybody already knows that this is the fun, exciting, new "IT" thing to do here in Houston. I'm not into golf to say the least (I'm more of a football gal), but you can still have a great time here even if you don't know a thing about the sport. There's young kids adorably trying their hand at it, golf-pros hauling in their own clubs and showing off... but for the most part, you'll see people awkwardly swinging over and over and somehow, still managing to miss the ball (i.e. me). So yeah, no matter what your experience - or lack thereof - with golf is, don't worry -- no one's judging! Sadly, the horror stories of packed parking lots and 3-5 hour waits are true, unless you come during non-peak hours. There are also several petty annoyances my party ran into: * There is a reservation limit, so book early to avoid this debbie-downer. * VIP club members automatically get bumped up in the waiting queue, even if you made a reservation. It makes sense since they paid to join the club, but it's definitely frustrating because it affects your wait time. However, if you overlook all of that, TopGolf delivers. It's just *that* innovative and fun, and the sheer concept and design of this place is a masterpiece. Once you're finally brought out onto the bays, the user-friendly touch-screen interface quickly starts up your game, keeps score, and displays exactly where your ball lands out there in the open. And the rules are simple: it's basically like a mix of bowling and shooting darts. Then when you're not playing, you have a full bar and menu at your disposal. The food isn't spectacular, but the presentation and food choices are impressive and worth trying (smoked chicken & apple flatbread? chicken & waffle sliders? donut holes w/ injectable fillings?! ohhh, yes). Service can be a little skittish and flustered during peak hours, but that's to be expected -- don't be afraid to flag your server down if you need something. So there's some definite pros and cons here. Pro: it's fun. Con: it's pricey. Pro: it introduces something new to Houston. Con: it also introduces horrendous 3-5 hour wait-times to Houston. Until the hype dies down, *if* it ever dies down, I'd imagine there's nothing to be done about that. But TopGolf is definitely a place to check out -- bring some company, bring your appetite, but most of all, bring your patience. read more

Excellent outing! We visited around 2:30 on a Sunday in October. Got into a second floor bay by 3pm. The place was buzzing with just enough patrons. The facility... Really nice place! The whole indoor/outdoor thing they've got going on is really working. It's airy and has a great vibe. The seating areas at the bays made you feel like a VIP. The service... I braced myself for mediocre service but got just the opposite! Upon stepping inside the doors, the concierge greeted us. From then on every staff member we interacted with was stand out. The food... Delicious! We had nachos that were better than most restaurants', injectable donut holes...efing delicious, and sweet potatoe fries...yum! I had a Pineapple express drink. I really liked it but tasted very little alcohol which is fine by me but if you prefer a stronger mixed drink, you probably want to mention that. The game... Yeah i suck but i had fun doing it! Wait that didn't come out right. Hell, you know what i mean! to get a ball, you've gotta wave the club over a sensor. Ours probably needed to be replaced as it took quite a bit of effort to get it to work. We never really figured out how the score board worked but we were having too much fun to care. The cost... Four in my group, $10 per for an hour of golf and $5 for player card. Cool. I am a foodie which is my downfall. I think all toll, i dropped $50 on food and drink for my son and i but that wasn't terrible and was totally worth it! So Shaina, will you be returning for another round? Hell yes!!! read more

Grand opening, some interruptions, and a few bugs. While they are working out their systems tonight, there are a few things I observed during the fire alarms and other system mal functions. 1. Food, it's not made by anyone from Mars or Venus. Even the BBQ didn't resemble anything from planet earth. The presentation is fantastic, the taste isn't. 2. Price, after 6 pm it is $40 an hour per bay. That's about 4 times the price of any normal driving ranges. A Perrys Steak! And you dont get a putting or chipping area? Thats about the price of a real round of golf, and thats good for 4 and half hours with cart. 3. Range way too short. This is not a golf facility that a golfer can relate to. Even the restaurant falls way short if they are selling this as a Bar and Grill with other entertainment. Great service, but other than that, not many reasons to return. read more

At 3 PM during the week this place is one gigantic mess! Not enough parking, bad location, and too many kids. I believe that people (including my buddies and I) think that is a place for avid golfers who want to hit some balls in comfort and in a bar setting. Do Not Be Fooled! This is a Dave & Buster's type of experience, minus the abundance of games and rewards. In fact, the range experience is one big game...no, for real! Most of the folks tend to come here to drink, eat, drink, socialize, drink and hit some balls. Not a place to go if you're serious about getting some practice in, in my opinion. I've been to one similar, so it isn't a particularly new concept to me. The distances do not seem accurate, not to say they aren't. They just don't look accurate. My pals and I have coolectively decided that going to an outdoor range to hit some balls and then grabbing some brew seems much better...not nessesarily in that order. Wink! read more

I have had the opportunity to visit this location twice and have had fun each time. Apparently a lot of people share this opinion as it was packed on both occasions. Top golf is a great location for friends to get together, for a date or even for a company outing. Their packages allow you to add great food to your evening out. There are a few spots that you can hang out and enjoy a drink or food if you are not actively playing in one of their Bays. The patio upstairs was really nice though it would have been nice if they had a few more members of their wait staff out there. If you start out here, waiting for a bay to become available, you have the ability to transfer your tab to your bay. Groups pay for specific amounts of time (i.e. 30 minutes, 1 hour) and have the abililty to add on more time if they don't want the fun to come to an end yet. You can play specific golfing games or just practice your swing. Either way, it is a fun way to spend and eveining. read more

Fun atmosphere, a bit over priced though. Especially the food and drinks. The nachos were very good though!!

The service is bad. Just don't order anything and you can have a good time. The waitress (at the bay) told us someone else was taking over our table and that person never came. The original waitress said she had to work the 3rd level cooperate event. Apparently cooperate gives more money than customers. My friend went to the bar to order and all the bartender did was dance. I sat at the table and tried to wave a few waiters down but they didn't notice my hand and eye contact or saw me and ignored me. I resulted to raising my hand like a school kid (it didnt work.... I raised my hand for 5 minutes!) When I tried to get someones attention I raised my hand, friend went to used the restroom and on her way back she saw my hand up and tapped someone on the shoulder who didn't come over to see what i needed but sent one else to give me a check. Would I come back? Not sure. I went to the Webster location and that one made Memorial location look real bad!!!!! The Memorial location could learn a thing or two from the Webster location!!! First time at Top Gold today and I already can't wait to go again! I honestly don't know what's taken me so long, but it was a great time. Drinks are strong and the food is good! Allow me to start by saying, Top Golf the GAME?! AWESOME!! The main attraction is as good as advertised. The problem is with the extra curricular. SERVICE Our server was not very knowledgeable of golf or the golfing experience. This was disappointing as both my wife and kids were completely new to the sport and desperately needed a quick tips session on actually HITTING THE BALL at $40hr, the learning curve is crucial as the experience doesn't turn to fun until you put the ball IN PLAY. We effectively wasted the first 30mins of our time watching others around us. They desperately need to train staff on the game, how it works, and at very LEAST, entry level golf swing tips. FOOD This was the biggest disappointment by far!!! The food was AVERAGE at best! The queso we started with was nothing more than CANNED cheese with salsa mixed in!! No flavor at all! Not something you would expect from A place of this caliber! So turned off by it, me and my wife decided to just get our two boys, kids burgers and tots, but these both came cold and the burger dry and flavorless. We're not a hard family to please, but the food just didn't match up with such a well built facility and concept. GOLF This is where top golf SHINES!!! The gameplay, though, difficult to comprehend, was fun for my whole family!! The toddler clubs given to my 3yr were pristine, and he LOVED them!! My 12yr garnered a new respect for the sport as sliced ball after ball 15ft away And even my wife and I, never having swung a club, Found ourselves jumping in excitement when a ball managed to find its way to the 50ft flag. Truly an immersive experience. And by far the only thing I didn't mind paying a premium for. In all, worth another trip, but minus the food, DRINKS ONLY! And simply play golf!! read more

Went there with a group of 22. They charged reservation fees of $27.5 per lane that is not counted into to bill, and they had us waited for 45 mins before getting our lanes ready. Of course at the far corner of the field. Food is okay. drink is pretty bad. The worst part is the server came to me and asked for 20% tip on everything including membership fees and lane use. Seriously? I paid $110 just to reserve the lan, and $440 to use the lane, $120 for everyone's membership fee, and then I need to add 20% tip on top of these for what???? Very fun and spacious enough for a group of friends. Would recommend to anyone of any age.

Been wanting to come to Top Golf for awhile after non-golfer friends raved about it. Plus the long wait times were intimidating, so I came on Easter Sunday evening with an out of town friend (no waiting!). After introducing my friend and I as TG newbies the staff were happy to explain everything. From the pricing to the pros/cons of each floor level (being on a higher floor helps golf weenies like us get better distance). They also guided us to our bay and showed us how to use everything. Plus they sorted the clubs since they were all mixed up. After a few embarrassing swings 'n a miss I ended up having a blast. Plus I improved enough to hit into the blue area. The only negative was the table service. After our waitress made her initial introduction and drink order. It was hard to find her to make additional requests. At one point we had to chase her down the hall to make orders. Considering you're renting the area I found this to be a waste of game time. That aside I definitely would love to come back again. read more

Imagine you are in your living room hanging out with friends watching a game, and for whatever reason you get up to hit golf balls - because you can. And then someone comes by and asks if you'd like food or drink. Yes this place does exist, and it is called TopGolf. We had a blast! It was a rainy January day in Houston and my birthday eve. I've never had a swim party, being a Capricorn, so I had my heart set on Top Golf. We made a recon mission the day before to have everything set. We bought the membership cards for our crew and even purchased a VIP pass in case the lines were bad the next day. A VIP pass ($50.) will bump you to the front of the wait list. We toured the place and got the skinny from a manager type person on how it all works. Game day. We arrive and there is no wait. They give us a bay in the 100's. This is the bottom floor and not that appealing. We ask for something on the elevated side, and our server took care of it immediately. We spent 3+ hours hitting balls, watching football and just hanging out. Some pointers: This is not serious golf world. Top Golf is for fun. They provide clubs, you can bring your own, but if you wear a glove then bring your glove. Folks have complained about price, but think about it. It is 6 people per bay, so even $40 an hour is not that bad if you look at it as recreation. Going to a nightclub and having a private room AND hitting golf balls for a little over $6.00 a person an hour. The price is hard to beat. The service was exceptional. The waitstaff kept us satisfied. And the bathroom was well monitored. We had a blast and can't wait to go back! read more

It is like bowling for the top score at the bowling alley but with golf balls and golf clubs. Yes, more expensive but the concept is new, cutting edge, dynamic, and has a touch of class. Downside, it is so incredibly popular and is in such high demand that the wait times are absolutely horrendous. Clearly, the location is meant to service the corporate money from the energy corridor hence the demand and higher prices. My first visit I was quoted a 3 hour wait time (and that is the usual). Second visit was me getting there early on a Saturday morning and being one of the first. Now, at the time I thought that it would be a quiet morning. I rolled up at 8:30am as one of the first ones there. When TopGolf opened by 9am there were 40 people in line. "So, is the bar open yet or does it open at 11am like everywhere else?" I ask the waitress assigned to our bay. "TopGolf is the only place that serves alcohol at 9am on this side of town" she replies. I can be served alcohol while driving golf balls by 9:10am potentially. Big smiles for this guy and all his friends...so we had rounds of beer and champagne mixed orange juices and assorted breakfast items. Who am I kidding? We had wings and other bar style foods for breakfast! The food is better than average though nothing really stands out in an exceptional way. No golf clubs? No worries. The $5 membership fee allows for the use of their clubs. And, if you are left handed they have left handed clubs for you, gratis. If you hit the driving range often do consider the upper tier membership cards. A friend of mine hit a hole in one and would have been given $1000 check for doing so but he wasn't on the tier that qualified him...maybe next time. read more

My only experience with golf is putt-putt (which I'm pretty good at) and shooting a bucket of balls (which I'm very bad at, which made me hate golf). On my last trip to Houston, two of my girlfriends INSISTED that I go to TopGolf to have a very enjoyable golf experience. Despite my hesitation, I finally caved, and we headed over there Good Friday in the morning. Since it was GF, schools were out and there were a lot of kids around. The wait was an hour, but we chilled and grabbed a couple of beers at the bar (where the bar tender was from Walnut Creek! Small world). After about an hour, we were able to go to our... station? I was very impressed. We were on the third level (the highest they offer), and everything was so clean, organized and electronic. Each golf ball that you hit has a microchip in it, so wherever it lands on the green or in a pod, the screen will show you were it landed and how many points you get. Servers come by and take your drink/food order, and you can take turns whacking balls (or missing, like I did many times). In the end, my friends and I had a blast, and we didn't care how good our form looked or how many times we missed the ball. If you're a newbie (like me), no worries. They label each club with a color (they even have separate men's and women's). Then each pod on the green is coordinated with that color so you know which club to shoot for which distance. They also label the pods and colors on the platform where you retrieve your golf ball, and tell you how many points you get for each one. As we were leaving, I noticed a lot of other game rooms, including Foosball and even an X-Box Kinnect with virtual bowling. For free! No wonder why there were so many kids who looked like they were having a blast! If I were in Houston, I would come back for sure :) read more
