Went today for my birthday. Checking in and getting a bay was easy and pretty quick. We requested a set of left handed clubs and right handed kids clubs. Clubs came almost 15 minutes after starting an hour and asking 2 different employees about them. That was frustrating as that was paid time being waster. I've been to several top golfs on the west coast and this experience has been the most disappointing. Usually when I receive a text message that our bay is almost ready we get something assigned in 10 min or less. We've been waiting for almost an hour and still no bay. After speaking with the front desk they let us know that our area would be ready "at any minute now." Then we proceeded to wait another 15 minutes before our area was ready. I wouldn't mind the wait if it wasn't for the fact that we were instructed to close our drink and meal tabs at the tab. Disappointing to say the least. read more

I have been coming to this location since they opened! We come monthly on date days with my husband. We take advantage to their deals which saves a lot of money if you go in the morning versus the evening. The staff is usually friendly and helpful but we have sometimes had sole staff get in the way of us playing and almost gotten hit. But they were new so I can understand they're still learning. We have played on every level here and we hate the bottom floor. We're not good at golfing so when we get the bottom floor it's much harder for us to get the ball to travel far whereas if we're up higher it's easier to see and hit the balls far. Their food and drinks are also really good! I like that your host takes and brings you your order while you play. There's also heaters/fans you can turn on if you need them. The whole place is really clean and well kept even on their busy nights. But you might have to wait a long time on their busy days/nights which is why we go in the morning to avoid waiting. read more

Been here a few times for different reasons. First time was to take some lessons from Mary. She is amazing, very nice and is able to adjust to your skill level and teach you. I was with a group of four, myself I can handle myself, and she was able to give me some pointers that helped me a lot. Then she was able to help the other three who needed more attention. Then I came back and brought my family here for some fun. The biggest issue I have, when you want to reserve a spot. They will charge you up to $50.00. The is a reservation fee, does not credit to you playing fee. So, they are taking advantage of their peak hours, and really over pricing things. I do not recommend you bring your personal clubs, unless you don't really care if they get damaged? Their golf balls are harder then usual, and even though it did not happen to me on my two visits. I have seen dented irons and drivers caused by their harder balls. Now, with all of this said, If you can bring your family in during off peak hours. Just walk in, purchase their membership card($5.00) for their life time membership. Used their supplied clubs and have at it. Kids will have a great time! read more

This place is great. Crazy how the technology works. The waitress was very attentive and checked in on us. We ordered the nachos, a big pretzel and a pitcher of beer. It was all very good. We requested a bay with a couch which was nice but I did not like being on the end. The best spot would be in the middle in the top story but any bay is good. They have a variety of games to play. It was a lot of people in my parties first time swinging a golf club. They did not want to play until they realized how fun it really was. We came with a group of 13 ppl, and we kept being interrupted with a Head count every 5 min. We bought food drinks and spent money and to be treated as if we we were just there for free was wrong. We were there to celebrate a birthday and a family member passing away. Not only did you take the experience away Simon but you truly made our experience negative. I came here for the first time last year with a bunch of Danny's buddies and me. There was about ten of us on a Saturday night and we had to wait about 2.5-3 hours without reservations for a slot. We passed the time with dinner and drinks. I was nervous as I have never golfed in my life. To my surprise, top golf was super fun and easy to catch up. We came back this year just Danny and I and still had a blast. We picked it up right away and stayed for about 1.5 hours. There were two young boys and a dad in the area next to us. So it is relatively easy to try if you have never golfed before. I would recommend this place to others and will definitely be coming back. I wish we had one in the Bay Area! read more

We came on Saturday at about 6:40 p.m. The wait was 2h30 minutes. After we waited, we were still placed on the first floor. We ate before playing and chatted. Golfing was fun. They have several clubs to choose from. They charge a $5 membership fee for each participant to play. We ended up playing for about an hour and 45 minutes. With food and some drinks it ended up being about $300, which was fine to split with a group. We're definitely coming back, but would love to try one of the top floors! read more

I have only been to this location a few times but the last time I was sat at bay 109 our waitress was very rude to us and her colleagues, I have never came across an employee that seemed like they hated their job so much. I get being upset or frustrated but to take it out on your own staff, the people that were there trying to help her and then the people who are trying to hand you money, that's unacceptable. We wanted to like this place and the game itself is fun. We walked in and I realized I left my wallet and my ID at home. We checked in and right next to the first desk is another check-in to get a wristband that says you're allowed to drink. Obviously I had to forgo this despite having my father, husband, and son with me. Totally fine, I understand they have to follow regulation. The sign in front of this says in order to purchase or consume alcohol on the premises you need a wristband. I hadn't seen any signs saying you couldn't bring your own drinks, and we had, so when we sat at our bay we pulled one out for my husband. Shortly, a manager came over and said according to her staff she was notified that we had brought in alcoholic beverages. We said yes we had, we thought that was okay, as this is our first time at Topgolf. The manager immediately cut in and let us know that according to the state of Arizona, it was ILLEGAL, what we had just done and the drinks need to be thrown away or taken off the premises. We apologized and again said we didn't know, we thought they were allowed. The manager looked at me like I was a moron and said so you didn't see the BIG SIGN out front that says no alcohol!? I said, no I just saw the sign in the lobby. We were completely upfront about the drinks we had brought, my husband threw away his freshly opened can, and ran the one extra can back to the car. Mind you, we're in our 30s, with our infant son, and my senior father. Clearly not trying to relive the college days here. On top of this rather condescending treatment, the game didn't register your ball hitting the nets about 20% of the time. On my last round, it again missed one of my balls and then would not spit out my last ball. We called over a staff member, she said the machine thinks I played all 9. Everyone in the group said no I played 8. She swiped her key card, the machine still didn't work, and she said, "well it thinks you played all 9." Since we had about 7 minutes left, I said okay that's fine we don't really care, we're all just trying to play one last quick round. And she walked off, like problem solved. Came back with our bill, which for an hour, zero food or drink, and mandatory registration came out to $56 and change. Overall, I'm sure we'll give this place another shot since my husband is a big golfer, it's triple digits out right now, and especially now that we know the rules but a little upset about our first visit and treatment from this manager. UPDATE: We went for Father's Day, and we had an okay time. Again, I was denied a wristband. My 30th birthday was two weeks ago, we just moved states, and are in the middle of buying a house so I physically cannot renew my driver's license with no home address until the house closes. I explained this scenario, trying to be completely up front about my expired license, and neither the wristband check-in station nor the manager I spoke with were willing to help me out. They said it was illegal to give me a wristband, again. *sigh* I completely understand policies and that yes, technically I was not allowed to have a wristband, however for 2 weeks we have been going out to restaurants and getting drinks at our hotel with literally zero issues. Clearly other businesses understand that these things happen. Just a little off-putting that this establishment is so incredibly strict. I'm assuming this means anyone who comes in on their birthday, that doesn't already have their new license, is denied a wristband? That being said, we were offered a free bay reservation and 2 hours of play as an apology for our previous experience, and that was extremely nice of James, a manager, and it was easy to check-in. Our bay was clean and ready for us at 1:50pm, with a 2pm reservation, on a holiday. Awesome. The game was fun, and maybe they were busy, but our server never came back to refill our waters and she forgot my son's tater tots. Not that big of a deal. Definitely a better experience than last time. So 3 stars instead of my previous 2 stars. My husband and father split a golfbag drink, which we thought was a cool presentation with the light up glass my son loved. And I obviously stuck with my iced tea :) We may or may not be back, but that's mostly due to my 0/2 attempts on getting one of these apparently exclusive wristbands! read more

I recently had a reservation booked well in advance and deposit paid for, specifically requesting ANY floor BUT the first. We had family in from town and wanted to show them topgolf for their first experience. We checked in for our reservation 30 minutes ahead of time, and eventually got our assigned bays on the first floor. The hostess then proceeded to tell us that "reservation requests are not monitored by any employees so requests are not seen by the staff and that it would be an additional hour wait if we wanted a bay not on the first floor"..... why bother taking requests and wasting my time then? The hostess then went off and pretended to speak to whatever manager they had & when she returned asked us if we were ready to wait the additional hour. She then offered to give us our deposit back??? Give me my deposit back. Since when would you have kept it? Why she acted like she was doing us a favor idk. They cut us off because they felt we were being unsafe however other people in our group have had 3-4 beers and they are somehow still safe. Just know that if you come here and get more than 2 drinks they will cut you off if you're a woman but if you're a man you can order 3+ drinks and it's okay. read more

I don't even know if I want to go now. At 4:00, we came up with the great idea of going to Too Golf as a family. I called to make a reservation, it tells you to go to the website. I make the reservation for $50 for 6:00. I read afterwards that the $50 is only to not wait in line and it does not go to gameplay. So did it tell me before? Yes. I overlooked it because I was excited and happy to go. Human mistake that cost me $50. I can't get it back because I made the reservation less than 24 hours before the start time. I called and the location won't help me, or offset something else to accommodate. read more

We have hit Topgolf in Scottsdale quite a few times before but last night was our first venture to the west side version. Everything you come to expect from this national chain, a friendly and helpful greeting at the door, quick service and a super clean environment. Tuesday is half price for the bay rental - which makes the bill much easier to handle. Food and drinks are pricey but, in line with other locations. We tried a couple flatbread pizzas - pepperoni & margherita - both were excellent!! I would like the crust a little more crispy but, just personal preference. We shared a bottle of merlot for $33 - which was also a fantastic deal compared to buying per glass. Overall, a fun time for all - families, friends, date night, a great place to change up the regular old night out routine. FYI - upper level is the best spot to be by far. read more

We visited TopGolf a year before Covid and had a really great time. Food and drinks were amazing ! We visited again tonight with our kids and I've come to update our review. I'd like to say that our service was good and fast and we were seated quickly and we were happy to find that our 45 minute wait was only a 5 minute wait. Our son who has been asking to golf really enjoyed himself and it was a fun family activity. We were asked to show ID for wristbands which makes sense but we were asked for our IDs again when we ordered drinks at our bay which makes no sense. What's the point of waiting in another line with more people and staff touching our IDs if a server is going to check them and touch them again in a few minutes. The food which was once amazing and fun is now basic and meh. They've kept only the easiest items to create on their menu. We got nachos and it was the saddest nacho we've ever seen, I've seen the exact same thing at a Chili's. It was barely a snack for 2 adults and the "guacamole" was a hardly ripe avocado with no flavoring. We understand that the world has changed and supply chains have changed but I feel like we are now in March 2021 and we can only use that excuse for so long and it's time to step it up when it's possible and safe. This is the worst Topgolf ever. I've been a member since 2014, hosted many personal and corporate events at many location from Scottsdale to Kansas City. The service and treatment of customers is horrible. We had a 3 he wait, checked with staff several times and after 3 hours they say it will be another hour or two? Seriously? First time going to TopGolf and left feeling cheated by their lack of transparency in pricing. They charge each person another $5 extra per person for a "membership" to go there. This membership fee was never disclosed to us. When we reserved no one told us there is an membership fee, when we checked in no one told us there is membership fee, and when our server is typing in our information requiring our phone numbers to start we are still not told that there is a membership fee. Then when the bill comes, I asked why are there so many membership fees? He said well when you type in your phone number to play, you get charged a membership fee for each person. Why is that something that you tell the customer AFTER the fact? There are so many chances to be transparent and let the customer know from reservation to check-in to the host asking for our phone number at the booth. No one told us about the extra fee of going there. This is type of business practices of leading the customer along without disclosing clear fees is simply unethical. read more
