After hearing about Topgolf from so many people, I finally convinced my sister to go with me! This new location is in Germantown. We came on a Saturday around 12pm. We assumed all of the bay's would be taken but to our surprise we were able to get seated right away. It did seem to get very busy right after we got there. They seemed to have a few too many employees working in my opinion and yet somehow I had to locate someone to ask if our server would be coming by anytime soon as it had been about 20 minutes since we had been seated. The young man apologized and helped us out. We then got another girl as our server and she was pretty attentive. We got chips as our appetizer and these were actually really good lol. Hot & fresh. The fries were good but the burger didn't really have much seasoning. I ordered mine medium well whereas my sister ordered hers well done. The server said she wasn't sure which one was which and both had a "medium-well" stick in them. It was fine because both were definitely well done. The golfing aspect was so much fun! Where to start... terrible customer service. I called ahead to ask about dairy-free options and after getting transferred three times I can only assume I ended up speaking with the kitchen manager. However, she told me they only had pretzels without dip and salad without dressing to offer. Later, I noticed they had hummus and veggies that should be dairy free so not sure why she didn't mention that. Every time we asked a question (e.g. can we have a high chair, straws, what are beers on draft, etc) to a server or bus girl, the answer was "I don't know" as if they don't work there. We were never brought utensils or plates with all the food we ordered. Asked for things that never arrived, etc. The biggest disappointment of all was that we ordered food and it arrived just as our bay reservation was ending. We were then quickly harassed by our server and then a "team lead" about needing to extend or get moved to the bar. First of all, we were never informed of this as we should have been when ordering food. Secondly, a few of our party was in the bathroom so we had to repeatedly ask for them to hold their horses for a few min so we could have a chance to discuss and decide. Thirdly, there were plenty of open bays and no one waiting so it made no sense for them to be so impatient and rude. Mind you we have a baby and very pregnant person in our party so shuffling around unnecessarily is very inconvenient. Finally they gave us a 15 min "curtesy extension" (did not include playtime) while we decide but they still bugged us several times during these minutes. After months of being cooped up inside a group of friends decided to go out one Sunday afternoon. We made a great choice by going to Topgolf! The various games were both challenging and a lot of fun! The food was good and the team here is very helpful and professional! This location installed clear plastic partitions between each bay to help with social distancing. Every bay is also cleaned and sanitized before the next group is able to play. Huge plus because while wanted to have fun, we definitely weren't trying to catch the 'Rona! We all agreed to do this again before it gets too cold outside. However, even the cold shouldn't be a problem because each bay has strong radiant heaters installed overhead. We had a lot of fun and didn't spend a ton of money in the process so this was a win-win! We'll definitely be back! read more

Wow!!! Just wow!!! This location is new and it's just such an awesome setup in Germantown. The staff greet you when you come in and there are so many people that welcome you and there to help guide you to where you need to go. I was invited to a kids birthday party and the waitress Ariana was very nice and helpful. She's catered to our party of 6 kids and 7 adults and she did such a good job from helping out with the kids and us! Excellent customer service!!!! The food was pretty good. I got the Turkey Avocado wrap (healthy option) so of course it was bland haha! And the kids meals were good! I honestly would not recommend the jr.cheeseburger because it's literally one mini slider and fries for $7 lol get the chicken bites!! More food for the kids haha. My husband said the wings were good! And my friends enjoyed the drannnnnks lol the only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because our game machine kept freezing and glitching a throughout the game but we did not want to give our waitress a hard time. I went last night with my son and my best friend and his son.This was our 1st and most likely our last experience with Top Golf. When I called it was recommended that I reserve a bay. So I did and subsequently charged a "booking fee". Seriously who charges to make a reservation when I'm going to be charged $63/per hour? And I have to reserve the bay for 2 hours minimum! Then I have to pay a % up front to hold the reservation. Then I have to pay a membership fee for every new player in the group. Needless to say this place is a money pit. Anyway enough about me being cheap. I was told to get there 15 mins prior to my reservation time. Our time was from 8:15-10:15. When we arrived at 7:55 we were told that our bay would be ready 15 minutes before our reserved time as "a bonus gift". They told us to wait in the bar area and I would receive a text message. While waiting in the bar area and watching a football game a staff member told us we needed to order something if we were going to be standing in the bar area. So we were basically asked to leave. Finally we were called to our bay at 8:15....what happened to our "bonus 15 min gift"? Moving forward we were told there would be someone to help us with setting up the system ....no one to be found. So having a masters degree I figured I could do this on my own....bad assumption. So I called the nearest staff member. She politely told me it was not her area and that she would get my server. We waited for almost 10 mins and "Anthony" appeared. He gave us a quick overview and then left us for another customer. We completed the signing in process and weren't sure which game or how to play. Where was Anthony when we needed him. Needless to say we started playing around 8:35...35 mins since our "bonus 15 mins" started and we basically had to figure out how to play on our own. I realize I'm probably the only one standing on a soapbox complaining...however being on a school teaching salary and driving an hour and 20 mins to pay this kind of $$ it's not worth it to me. Not really sure what I'm more upset at....overall not a warm and fuzzy experience or that I'm just not a high roller and need to stay within my means. I'm not a golfer- I never understood how driving ranges were fun. But, a friend of mine wanted to celebrate his birthday there, so off I went, and I had an amazing time! The place is cool- it's like someone sliced a wall off of a building. There's a ton of "rooms" and each group gets their own, complete with clubs. The system is kind of like a bowling alley- enter your name, and it tracks points you get. We ordered each kind of wing and the Mac and cheese bites, and the guacamole and chips. I highly recommend the wings and the Mac and cheese; I wouldn't get the guacamole again. It tasted just okay, and there were so many chips compared to the amount of guacamole. The drinks- the mai tai was okay, you could taste the bottom shelf triple sec. How fun!!! We visited for my birthday and it was my first time and I am not a golfer but I had so much fun! Even if you haven't golfed before, as long as you have one friend to teach you the basics I think you would have a blast. I wasn't expecting much for the food but it was actually very good! The golf itself was a lot of fun. Very clean and not too expensive. Would definitely go back for the game itself. The service was not great though. Asked for waters for the table which we had to remind the waiter about when he came back to take our order. Ordered two pitchers of beer and some food. It took at least 30 minutes for the beer to come after reminding our waiter twice. The food was good but definitely a smaller portion than expected. Waiter only checked in on us once. Asked us if he could get us anything else, just to follow it up by saying, actually our kitchen and bar are closed now so I'll just bring you the check. Had an awesome time here. It was huge first of all! 3 floors of fun. This was my first time and I will definitely be back. I was with a small group seated on second level and it was heated perfectly. Food was good. I had the pretzel bites and shrimp corn tacos. I asked if I could sub and get flour tortillas but they said no. The tacos were still pretty tasty. They were a little messy but did their job lol. And pretzel bites came with a type of beer cheese sauce and a horseradish sauce. The beer cheese was my favorite. Top Golf Germantown is amazing, but honestly with the Top Golf formula you really cannot go wrong. Top Golf is a fun, endorphins producing activity for any age group. True golfers like my dad and his friends come here to hone in their skills, my friends and I come here to have a boozy bar food infused night out, and then you could even come here in business casual for a corporate event. The Germantown location is huge and boasts 3 large levels. I went last night and we stayed on the first level which was ideal because my friends and I like to keep the drinks flowing and the food coming so the closer in proximity to the bar and kitchen the better. The staff was nice, and they were fun as me and one of my close childhood friends joined in their Wobble line and had a blast. At the end of the night we all got separate checks, and they charged my card for two of the checks instead of just mine and they had a hard time fixing it. But in the end they were pleasant to work with through the process and the experience was so good that this faux pas does not warrant knocking them down a star. read more

I am not a golfer and don't have young children, but I had a fantastic time at my neighbor's 11th birthday party at Top Golf! The parking is tight but plentiful and the location is easy to get to right off of 270. As we walked to the entrance It was interesting to see that there were a lot of children coming and going and also serious golfers carrying their golf bags and clubs. Entering the building it seems overwhelming but there is plenty of staff and always someone to help guide you through. There is a large lobby, the bar and golf bays on the entrance level. There were stairs going up which we never investigated. It may be where the private meeting rooms are? The steps going downstairs led to another set of golf bays, which is were our party turned out to be. We were a little early for our reservation so it was suggested we could wait in the dining/bar area. Looking at the drink menu I was so tempted. The drinks looked incredible, but I didn't think it was a good idea to arrive at a child's birthday party smelling like alcohol. Later I saw someone with a Bloody Mary and it was generous and looked delicious. Oh well, another day. After a short wait we were led downstairs to our space. We were set up for 12 guests at two tables. Our "hostess", Ariana, explained to us how to set up our score board, navigate the golf ball station, the safety rules, and took our drink orders. Included in our package were unlimited sodas and lemonade and a children's menu lunch. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! Granted because it was geared for children it was not the healthiest, but so worth a diet splurge. We each got a tin bowl with 2 chicken tenders, a small hamburger, a big pile of tater tots, and a cup of grapes. The chicken and tater tots were delicious, crispy and not at all greasy. Ariana was fantastic and checked on us regularly. Isaiah got our drinks to us quickly. We put the girls at one table and the adults took the other, so we could monitor them closely, but still have some good conversation and let them have their fun. When our party was winding down there were a lot of leftovers. I asked for "doggy bags" and they brought paper boxes and a bag so we wouldn't let a lot of food go to waste. The golf bays are separated by large columns which provide plenty of privacy and on our chilly March day the overhead heaters were turned on and kept us quite comfortable. I've been to a number of children's birthday parties and this venue was at the top of the list. It was well organized, but not so regimented that it felt like a forced march. I see on their website that Top Golf has a number of packages besides Birthday Parties, like Team Building, Field Trips, Fund Raisers, or just a casual meet up with friends. Over the past few months during the COVID-19 pandemic, I have felt pretty safe here. They have many measurements in place that I feel are consistent with the guidelines that are set by the CDC and in ways, I feel like they have gone above those recommendations or regulations so that guests feel more comfortable. Pro: I do appreciate the fact that they have a team delivering food and drinks separately from the bay attendant. Con: The one thing that I was not so excited about is that the employees may not exchange gloves as frequently as I had hoped. For example, they might clean up one table but then you request a condiment and they may not have switched gloves. Again, I am unsure if this is actually the case. Pro: They do also clean the bay dividers and the golf clubs in between each group. Depending on the staff member, they each do it different but I prefer when they have laid all of the clubs out on the table, sprayed, and wiped each individually to assure none are missed. Con: We have experienced longer wait times that are somewhat confusing. We have been told a few times that our bay was basically ready but then end up waiting 30+ minutes and have to check in with the front desk multiple times due to a system error/glitch. Overall, I prefer this location over the Loudon County location. I've been golfing four times prior to coming to the newer Germantown location. Twice on a course, once at a driving range and once to the old Topgolf Alexandria location. I can honestly say the only time I actually enjoyed it was at Topgolf. No frustration at losing a ball in the woods or in the pond. No annoying golfer behind you judging every stroke. Topgolf is just plain fun, especially with a good group of friends. The staff is super welcoming, and attentive throughout. The process to get started is simple, and there are lots of options for fun games to play. The food was quite good too- I loved the sesame wings, the steak nachos, and even the grilled chicken sandwich was quite good. The cinnamon balls for dessert were dangerously addictive, especially with the injectables. My wife appreciated the birthday song as well! They have also taken pretty good COVID measures- placing plastic screening between each booth, limiting the number of people in each booth, and sanitizing between groups. My husband made a reservation for us on a Tuesday night for date night and I was impressed! There are many bay areas and luckily we got a bay at the top. It was pretty crowded but we waited no longer than 5 minutes for them to take us to our bay. Once there, our server was super friendly and explained how every thing works. We have been to Top Golf before but this is our first time coming to this location. We came in a Saturday Morning in the winter but it was still busy. The parking lot it still unfinished and there are small mounds of asphalt in different parking spots. Also we noticed that the spaces are quite small. Since I already had an account it only took maybe a minute to check in and get a bay. We actually thought that the heaters in the bay were more than they were. Granted it was windy on Saturday but we noticed it was pretty warm on the couch and then right in front of the mat. We thought the pricing was pretty reasonable. The bay before noon is $27 and the food was about $9 per item. After ordering the food came pretty quickly. We had the French toast and the breakfast sandwich. Both were good and came hot even though it was about 35 degrees outside. One thing to note is that when getting the ball there is a small green light that shows If the ball dispenser caught the swing of the club. Also there is a target past the white which is the black that is against the back part of the net. It's about 205 yards to that target from what I saw. My friends and I went to this Topgolf location on a Tuesday night for half off golf! Tuesday nights are $25/hour for max of 6 players per bay. Highly recommend reserving a bay on their app about a week in advance! The ambience was nice - it was lively, but not too crazy. The service was pretty good too; I wouldn't say the best serving experience I've ever had, but definitely honestly nothing to complain about! The system also kept miscounting the balls played throughout both games, but again nothing to complain about. I definitely appreciated the ceiling heaters and our ability to turn it on/off ourselves. The Brisket Grilled Cheese was really good. I just wish it was more flavorful; adding caramelized onions would've been a game changer. The Fried Chicken Sandwich was also really good! It reminded me of a Shake Shack chicken burger, but juicier. The Smokehouse Burger was also really good and my friend recommended it! I waited for about 15 minutes for a server when I finally lost my patience I finally ended up having to flag down one of the servers so that we could place an order. The food? Topgolf Germantown is always fun and on point! I have been here a couple of times and enjoy the venue! I always use the app to reserve a bay! The app allows you to reserve only 7 days out, so if you are planning to go there for an event, please be mindful! However that process is soo simple! Once you arrive for your reservation, you are given a bay assignment and you're greeted by a "red shirt" manager. This person helps to set up your game play. I enjoy coming here because it's a great activity for my tween-aged daughter and at this point, she finds this still fun! The bays are always clean and sanitized in between guests and the staff is soo friendly and inviting! They have physical menus but also have QR code's on the table to help you order! I had the Buffalo wings and french fries as a snack. Both were very good! I have been on the 200 level as well as the 300 level! I prefer the bottom level! I have mixed reviews about this one because I came during covid when the restrictions were at an all time high so the one waiter was being difficult about the amount of people in our party. (It was 7 of us but only 6 were playing). Thankfully a manager came & resolved the guy's issues. But other than that i had an awesome time it's the perfect thing to do with the family. The parking is great the parking lot they have is more than enough room so you don't have to worry about that. The best part of it all is the food is delicious & the drinks are great. Signed my kid up for lessons with Airielle Dawson and unfortunately she ended up being unprofessional. Changed class time and cancelled class without making it up. Having to talk to Top Golf about a refund now about a cancelled class since Airielle Dawson won't respond to the cell phone number she asked me to contact her on. Def the most unprofessional golf instructor I've had to deal with and a crappy place to take lessons. The food here pretty much sucks. Had one ok meal and then two that sucked. TopGolf has come a long way. I remember the days when you had to get your golf clubs and golf balls and then take them to your bay in order to play. Now everything is so convenient and the food is pretty decent. We came early on a Friday and enjoyed about two hours of golfing. Everything went seamlessly. Today a raining Sunday morning, my husband and I went to the Germantown, MD location. We were given a bay all the way at the end against the wall. We requested a different bay and were told that no other bays were available....even though over 50% of the bays were empty. We were told they were all reserved. We asked for a different level and were told they were not open. We said we were leaving and all of a sudden some bays opened up....we left!!! TopGolf had their opportunity to deliver good customer service and they chose not to until we said we were leaving!!!
