While I've usually had great service at check in and for ordering food at this location, the check in service for my last visit on 7/6 at night was a bit abnormal. I walked up to the platinum member section of the front counter and was ignored. There was only 1 staff member at the regular section who assisted regular customers who came after me. Eventually I had to go directly to the regular section for that staff member to assist me. Even after presenting my platinum card, the staff member did not apologize for ignoring me earlier. read more

This place is great. The venue is clean and the staff are attentive. This is in stark contrast to the National Harbor location which is complete trash compared to this location. Our waitress was very prompt and attentive, always asking if we needed anything else. Even one of the managers came by to introduce himself to all the guests and engaged in small chat, which we appreciated. The only tiny problem with this location is that parking is really hard to find and we ended up having to park at the nearby restaurant, which isn't that far of a walk. read more

This place is a fine print scam. I had booked time there before and the prices online show how much it costs per hour at each time slot. Well, they pulled a fast one since the last time I went. Now it says the same thing, with a massive catch - you are paying to make a reservation. It's not the amount you'll pay for the bay. These reservation costs are just like the bay costs - they vary by the hour, making you think this is the bay cost. For example, it cost $25 to make a reservation for 4PM, and $15 to make a reservation for 6PM. Imagine my surprise when I get there early, and after making me wait a full fifteen minutes past my reservation time despite me having a reservation and there being empty bays everywhere, the bay machine tell me it's $1 a minute, or $60 for an hour instead of the $15 the website had told me. I asked someone there and they said that the site price could not have been true. I would've walked out, but I was on a date. When I got home, I checked the site as if making a reservation for the same time the following week. It again says $15 for the slot. There's a little info button near, a letter "i" in a circle. Clicking this brings up a little window, and there is the fine print saying you're being charged to make a reservation, and it doesn't include the bay. In other words, I paid $15 to make a reservation they didn't even honor. Then I paid another $60 to hit balls for an hour. I spent $75 instead of $15. I could've played an actual round of golf at some of the nicer courses around here for that. I'll be disputing the charge with my credit card company, likely to no avail. And I will never go to TopGolf again. read more

I've been to this top golf location a few times, and the staff is really friendly even when it is super busy. Although a bit pricey, this is a great activity to do with friends year round, even if you have no experience with golf (like me). They used to have booths, which were super comfy, but those have been replaced with tables/chairs which are less comfortable but better if ordering food. The food is ok- we got the tater tots and BBQ brisket flatbread. The tater tots were pretty standard but came with a great dipping sauce! The flatbread was sweet and filling, but nothing special. What a great time we had! We reserved a bay early, to make sure we were able to get in quickly. We have to pay a very small fee to reserve it, but it was so worth the money. They send a text asking if you will be on time, or need additional time until you arrive. They then send you a text with you bay. This allows you to walk right in and up to your bay. We were greeted by our host who explained rules and how everything works. We played for two hour which was just the right amount of time for three of us. We had great food and great drinks! We had Buffalo chicken dip, my boyfriend had a burger, and we forgot to take pictures of our garlic park wings and pizza! They were so delicious, especially the pretzel bites. Our waiter was really nice and personable. All the bays had a plastic curtain between them so you're never in close contact with other parties, which I appreciate. So I have really mixed feelings about this place. I generally love top golf, but our experience at this location was a bit complicated. First we had to wait a while to get a bay, which was fine, but we were really hungry and the staff recommended we wait to get to the bay before ordering food, even though you can order in their restaurant and they'll just bring it to your bay if you happen to move. Next, I was brought both the wrong drink and the wrong food once we ordered, and so I had to wait for a replacement. Finally, I was charged for the wrong food (which was more expensive), and was made to feel like a nuisance for wanting the bill corrected. The cheesy macaroni bites were our favorite, but we also enjoyed the BBQ brisket flatbread, the pretzel bites, and the wings trio. I had a burger with a fried egg and it was good. The spiked strawberry lemonade was a hit. Only complaints were that the classic nachos portion was really small, and I thought the men's room could be a little cleaner. I have been invited to the Germantown top golf on many occasions and I had not had to chance to go and experience the fun activities and outdoor bays with heating lamps that are just so nice and toasty. But finally, I had the chance and decided to take my family of four on a mild-weather Saturday. When we arrived I realized why it was so challenging to make reservations online, that place was busy, busy! But in a good way, the staff seemed to have a system in place and there was proper distancing and mask-wearing happening all throughout the establishment. We were greeted by someone at the guest service desk, who took our names, our cell phone number and gave us an honest quoted wait time of 2 hours and 45 minutes, we live nearby and thought this would be just fine given the busy Saturday that they were having. When we arrived back we were greeted again by someone who was happily pleasant and told us that our bay was being sanitized, and will be ready in 5-10 minutes. Manger Jim, chatted with us a bit, he was professional, down to earth, and extremely helpful. He is amazing at his job and honestly, he helped us have an even better experience. He told us that we were able to wait on the upper-Terrence area. Which was also a really nice area. Our serer was Adam, he was attentive, caring and able to tell me what were great food choices on the menu. He was diligent in keeping our cups refilled and all of the other service members were equally attentive and helpful. Honestly, this was such a great Saturday evening, that I will definitely be returning and hosting my business events here in the future, as well as telling others that this location is a great place to go, even during a pandemic! 4.5 stars. I came here on their grand opening weekend. Employees were very friendly and welcoming. It was all hands on deck. Service was up and down. As expected. Well see how it will go a time passes. Parking is plentiful. I recommend getting here late night. The crowd is mixed age which is good. There was no type of foolery going on unlike National Harbor location. Im not a fan of golf, its not my thing, but as good friend I played along for a short time. I did well. I felt like a Amateur Tiger Woods. I went to bar to eat. The bar staff service is ok for the most part, they are still brand new. There are some flaws. As expected and they are brand new. Give them a chance people!!!. Food took a long time. I got chicken and waffles ( nothing exciting, typical bar food) ,and we shared pretzel bites which were delicious!!!!!! Drinks!! For those who have never been; If a bowling alley and a driving range had a baby, you would get Topgolf! I've come here to this location a couple times since they opened and have enjoyed the games and atmosphere a lot! They charge for the individual bay by the hour, so it's definitely more affordable when you have a group going with you. Lots of good beer and food options. Some of it can get a little pricey compared to other sorts of arcade/gaming restaurants, but its worth it. Service is okay, it really depends on the person. The first time I came we were greeted immediately and had a very active server. On our second time, we had some new people and our bay wasn't lit up since not everyone had logged in; long story short, it took about 15 minutes for our server to come say hi to us since "our bay wasn't lit up." I went to this location for the first time last week for their Grand opening. I heard about a soft opening earlier in the week but couldn't attend. I thought the grand opening would be insane with long wait times for a bay but it wasn't. In any event, I ended up going about 2 hours earlier with a couple friends just in case there was a long wait since we were a total of 7 and the others weren't getting there until a bit later. To pass some time and because the few of us there were pretty hungry, we sat down at the Top Golf restaurant for a drink and dinner. We were told it's self seating and that our server would come shortly after we sat down. The server came about 5 mins after we were seated and greeted us. She asked if we needed some time to look at the menu and we did so we ordered waters to start. The waters took a while to come out and I think this was the job of another service person because the waitress said she was going to check on it. At that time we were ready to put in an actual drink order and food order but weren't given a chance to because she was so quick to leave the table and didn't ask us. We saw her again at another table nearby and as she was leaving the table tried to grab her attention but she made no eye contact. She eventually came back and took all our orders. For my drink I wanted to get the spicy Bloody Mary so I put in my order for that and my wife got ordered another alcoholic beverage (beermosa). Our drinks never came to the point where the server noticed and said she was going to check. She came back about 15 mins later saying they didn't have the items and for my item they didn't have Bloody Mary mix. I thought it was odd that they weren't prepared for their grand opening and did not have the necessities with such a classic drink like a blood Mary. I ended up ordering something else but was disappointed because I really was looking forward to that one. Our food finally came and one of my friends is vegan and specifically said no cheese but there was cheese on her flatbread and it had to get sent back. My chicken sandwich was suppose to come with fries and when I asked they said they were backed up on fries. At that point I was hoping for an eta on when the fries would come or an alternative like tater tots to be offered but it wasn't. After time had passed and no fries came out I walked over to the server to see if I could substitute and get tater tots since the fries that were suppose to come out with my meal never arrived and she said she would put in the order. Almost done with our meal we asked for the check because we didn't want to wait for it at the end and our other friends were just arriving to play golf. The waitress brought the check and said she comped one of the flatbreads since it didn't come out correct the first time and then our drinks that never made it out but I was still charged $4 for the tater tots which was disappointing because that was in place of the fries I never got. I didn't want to argue but we were quite unhappy with the lack of communication and the unpreparedness of the staff on their opening night. The golfing experience was great and the staff that was explaining everything was really friendly and took good care of us. We ordered a round of drinks and our drinks came out pretty fast. I wanted a dirty martini and I had to walk her through how to put in the order but other than that the golfing part was really good. For the future I will probably stick to ordering my drinks and food at the bay while playing the games but hopefully the dining experience improves. I was so excited about a TopGolf opening in our area so we wouldn't have to go all the way to Virginia. I came with a group of friends. We got here at 6 and waited an hour for an available bay - which we didn't mind since we ordered food and drinks at the bar as we waited. Our bay was available before our food arrived so we communicated with our server that we would be moving and gave her our bay number. We let the new server at the Bay Area know that we had food coming out from the bar area. Some friends ordered food with the new server at the Bay Area, their food came out first so we were concerned that they forgot about the initial order. Turns out somehow our Bay Area number got lost in translation and our food never delivered. Our served suggested we go to the bar to close out the tab so we did and they said our food will be out soon since we re-communicated the bay number. After another hour of waiting it never came out so our server put the order in again and 40 min later we finally got our food - with 30 min left of our two hour reservation. I love topgolf but was so disappointed with how terrible the transition process was. The staff was apologetic and very kind though. Hopefully next time will be better. read more

I have been going to Topgolf in other locations for several years. I was thrilled to find out they were opening up one in my backyard. It is a family friendly game, golf balls are micro-chipped and you can track them as you hit. I came here on opening night. As I walked in I was immediately greeted and was pointed to the right direction. Went for dining and golfing. There are 3 levels with several bays on each deck, most people like to hit on the higher decks. I was quite surprised there was no wait when I called ahead so I decided to get some food while I was waiting on some others. Dining I would give a 2.5 star (for now). Dining area is located on the main dining area. You can also order food and drinks at the bays as well. It was a little confusing since there is no host, but it is self seating. I understand this is the grand opening and issues will occur, however, service was extremely lacking in the dining area. Took 15 min to get our waters, our server went MIA several times. We ordered a bloody mary and a beer-mosa. For food, we got the chicken sandwich with fries, one farm house flat bread with cheese and another without cheese. After 20 min we were told that they are trying to find the bloody mary mix. Another 10 min comes by I got my beer and our server asked my Wife if she wanted another drink since they ran out of the mix. She ended up getting a beer. Our drinks were comped due to the wait. Our food arrives shortly, sandwich without the fries and my cousin got her flatbread but it came with cheese when she ordered without. This all was very frustrating as we waited a long time in general for everything. We asked another person why there were no fries with the sandwich and was told they were backed up on fries due to the rush (but it was not crowded at all). Another 15 min comes by and still no fries, I think the server should have at least asked if she wanted another side, eventually she just asked for the tater tots which we were charged $4 extra for when it was suppose to be a side that comes with the sandwich. However, we didn't want to question it since it already took a while to get the check. On the plus side, the food was delicious. For the actual golfing experience I will give it a 4 star. You check in at the front on the main level and you have to get a $5 membership per person. I am a lifetime member but they couldn't process my card for some reason. They alert you by text when the bay is ready and you can head on right there. As we reached the bay someone was already waiting for us to help us get started. The person helped everyone get their membership on the screen and demonstrated how to use the machine. Only 6 people can play on each bay and 8 people per bay in general. It is timed by the hour with different rates throughout the day. Weekends are more pricier, better to go with more people to split the cost as it can be a bit pricey. I believe due to the weather there wasn't a wait, but the heaters helped tremendously when sitting and playing. I had a great time playing and look forward on coming back next time. I made a reservation online and managed to get the Bay that had lounge seats. It was only $5 to reserve on a Wednesday! We arrived and checked in with the folks in the reception area and were told the Bay number. We walked over and waited for our full group to arrive - the timed session doesn't start until you add players and pay for the amount of play time. There was 5 of us in total plus a baby :)! We opted in for 90 minutes but I recommend 120 minutes if you have a larger group. We added in players and if it's your first visit you have to pay a $5 lifetime fee. Otherwise we were set to go! There are also different game options as well. We ordered drinks and appetizers for the group. Our drinks came in a timely manner, however the food order that was placed took a while and we were almost done with our game. We flagged down our waitress and asked her about the food. A manager came back with her and apologized that our food order was never placed and decided to compensate our game for us. That was nice! The food finally came out and was fresh. We added another 30 minutes and wrapped up our game. There is a rotating fan since the weather has been hot! It helped but I recommend drinking plenty of water to cool down. read more

This location is amazing! The staff members are the differentiating factor for me. From the moment I walked through the door, the first employee (I think he also teaches lessons) was such a nice, helpful guy. The day I visited this location was on February 22, 2020. They'd been open for a little over a month. Everyone was obviously very well trained because they did not give off the "we just opened and have no clue what to do vibe" at all. William was such a gentleman when I was being a very annoying customer who wanted the impossible set up during peak time. Dallas was wonderful because he really tried his best to assist with the request. When I came back and asked Dallas for even more of the impossible, he made it happen. I clearly know how much work he put in to help me with the large group I had. He never gave me the look of aggravation (he should have, I deserved it lol) and just tried his best to help. Excellent customer service. As for John, the bartender, he too was great. He handled lots of guests during the time I waited for our bags and didn't miss a beat. Everyone got his attention and he engaged with everyone. That's a difficult task, I've been in his shoes before! The two servers, Connie and John were so awesome! Perfect personalities and very attentive to my party. They successfully navigated the night, despite the various requests from the 10 of us! Connie even joined us for a line dance.
