I didn't want to come here. I hated golfing growing up and was scared of embarrassing myself in front of the couple that invited us with my lack of knowledge. I was wrong, this place is absolutely amazing- even for beginners! I started very hesitantly swinging and ended with putting my whole body into it trying to whack that thing into the furthest hole there was! The balls track their own movements, so you can keep score and see exactly where your swing landed. Competitiveness is in my blood, and it really ended up coming out full force in spite of the fact that I was out of my comfort zone and thought that I would try my hardest to fade into the background. If you're scared just bite the bullet and come, you will have the time of your life and your shoulders will be more sore than if you had done a double header of yoga classes. read more

I use to hate the thought of golfing. Even the word "golfing" brings flashbacks of high school days when I couldn't even hit a tennis ball with my golf club. I was introduced to this place last year with one of my friends that golfs on the regular. He taught me the posture, the focus and the swing. I followed every direction he told me and THWAK!!! My ball flew out into the colorful glorious field. I was hooked. So, you can't really get reservations unless you get some sort of gold membership. It's mainly a first come first serve deal, but they have more than enough employees working there. Most of them seem like high school or early college students, but with good energy. I had forgotten my card once (even though I already have 2) and it's $1 for a replacement, it's $5 for the lifetime card if you haven't ever gotten a card before. It keeps track of your scores and such. The computers at the bays make it very easy to split up the cost of the bay ($45/hr I believe, but cheaper rates apply to earlier play times). They also offer different games you can play against one another if you are really competitive. Most of the time I just practice my swing and pray that I don't hurt myself. We came here while it was quite cold one night and they had the heaters on and I didn't feel cold at all. I actually could be in the bay and have my jacket off! You can order drinks and food here which is the perfect formula for a group night out. Drinks are decent, and the food actually isn't terrible either. I've had their hamburger with mac'n cheese a couple times and I wasn't disappointed. I have also tried their queso dip and that was surprisingly also very tasty and makes for a good snacking item while golfing. So, even if you don't golf I think this is a perfect place to hang out or try and learn the basics of golfing. read more

Always an extreme wait. They'll tell you "60 minutes" and you won't get a text for about 130 minutes. Charge you an additional $30 to make a reservation. Slow service on food and drink. Everything over priced. Just go play real golf. read more

DO NOT EAT AT TOP GOLF! Had a run in with their Executive Chef tonight who proudly wears his mask under his nose and says that's how he wears it at work, too. I asked him respectfully to please cover his nose, he told me to "F off". I told him that I wouldn't be eating at Top Golf any time soon and that I was going to report him on Yelp. My brother introduced this place to us and we loved it. It's family friendly. We took our toddlers and they enjoyed it so much. They loved to play golf. We had fun too. We went during around March and it was cold but they had heaters which helped a lot. The food was good too. My only complaint would be the service. Maybe it is the server we got. She was so late in getting our order and forgot half our order too. Would recommend this place otherwise. read more

Go into this place knowing there is a wait (1-2 hours in my weekend experience). The food and drinks are well priced for the venue. Top golf is a lot of fun for all ages. They have kiddie clubs too. Its like bowling, darts, and golf all combined in one. Aim your ball towards the holes farther out for more points. The closer in to the circle you get, the more points you recieve. This is a great alternative to bowling! read more

First time at Top Golf, I know I'm late to the party, but wow, I'm super impressed! Staff was incredible, better service than most restaurants, attentive, fun, and very helpful! Matt set us up and showed us the ropes, he was great! Courtney and Jeff were our servers, and not once did we need to signal them, they were always close by and knew we needed them before we did. Food was very good, four thumbs up for the Cauliflower Flat Bread, drinks were cold and options were endless. And the golfing, besides the fact that I wasn't great, it was a blast! I'd give no stars if I could. This may be a place like bowling but it's not worth driving 30 minutes then being told you have to wait 40 minutes. I was told that I could reserve a booth but it would cost an additional $35 to $50 on top of the $35 to play a game. I will never go back because I was told by the staff that if I came in at 1:00, I wouldn't have to wait. That's all BS to get you in the door. read more

Excellent and friendly service provided by Curran, server. Beforehand, called and were told there was a 15 minute wait. Arrive 5 minutes later, and were told the wait was "actually an hour to 90 minutes." Ironically, the hourly rate per hour went up during that time. One of our friends had her birthday party here. The place is hip, happening, and full of energy. Valet park for $5. The bar downstairs is very cool, great service. Our host took our party upstairs and explained the concept to us. It was freezing cold outside, but there were plenty of heaters over the comfy couches. Bar service was also awesome up here. I didn't eat the food, because I wasn't hungry, but it looked decent. I'm not a great golfer, but it doesn't matter. There are several different targets to hit and gain points. It's a similar concept to bowling. Everything is automated, so there's nothing to keep track of. Super fun place for a party! read more

Had a big group here and the service was outstanding, the food VERY good, the kazillion sports TVs awesome, the gold game super crazy fun. Somehow they manage to be a casual yet slightly swanky. Yes! Finally Top Golf in Colorado! I went to the one in Texas just a week before and when I heard the news, I was so excited! The prices for this location are higher than the other locations. Service is ok but we will really see how they do after the grand opening shine wears down a bit. Pepperoni and sausage flatbread really hit the spot. The chips and salsa? Not so much. I can break open a bag of Tostitos chips and salsa... oh wait, these taste exactly like that! Ha! I'm looking forward to some groupon/living social deals in the future. Maybe some corporate deals too? I might have to contact them and see what they offer. This is a fun place to bring everyone! read more

I feel when I go to topgolf that it could be a really fun interactive activity night or date but then I see the staff, pricing and mentality trying to act like its Viewhouse or LoDos and I get turned away. I don't know if this the atmosphere they are trying to go for or if the staff just puts it off that way. The games are fun, it's a high price but definitely something different. Last time I was there I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and the lettuce was completely dead and wilted to the bread like it was there for hours previous. Topgolf in general is a great concept. However, their skinny margarita was awful and the scoring was ridiculous. Scoring does not reward good swings and is very dependent on your level. Women's bathroom had no mirror. read more

Cool spot, neat idea. We had fun playing golf, but the staff was really under qualified. After a "Manager" told me would personally reserve a spot on the top floor. 1) He did not reserve a spot leaving us to walk around trying to figure out what he did with our club cards. 2) We lost our spot after leaving our original location. 3) Rather than getting "locked in" for three hours at $25/hr we had to pay $35/hr for the remaining 2 hrs. 4) After we complained to another "manager" she first shrugged it off like it was no big deal and then after we joked, "could we at least get a free beer or something" she provided me with the most up-to-date state law that "it is illegal to provide free beer". Well after our brief legal crash-course, she gave two $10 coupons for our next visit. Ultimately, the situation was never handled properly, and all the staff was too proud to give us even an apology. Also, the eggs Benedict were sub-par and no-one ever thought to drop off ketchup or hot sauce or even offer it. Pretty standard for breakfast items. I may come back for a group event, but like casa-bonitas, you come here for the experience, not the good food or service. read more

Sorry Top Golf.. You would have gotten a 5 star from me, but after what happen tonight it deserves a 3 star. It's amazing how the server was so rude to my friends and I. Especially towards my brother. She asked if he wanted another drink and he replied "no thanks, but maybe in a bit" and she kept on replying "what did you say? I don't understand you" and walked away all pissed off. Not to mention when we had our food and was not done with it she had the nerve to take our food and toss it in the trash without asking if we were done. Not once did she check up on us and if she did it was in a rude manner. I hope your company will look into this, but it maybe hard to without a name! And since we didn't catch her name either. Overall, we got a new server mainly because we moved down to the 1st floor to play golf, eat, and had a couple of beers. This server was amazing! We did an event for our non-profit at Top Golf. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was great. Golfing was fun even for those that are not golfers. This is an update to my previous post. I was invited back to Top Golf by the operations manager since the first time wasn't all that great! Sunday at noon and football was on, great way to start! There was a bay ready and waiting for us and the service was much improved! Good was great and the kids had a blast. I love that it is dog friendly as well and this was the first time we took the dog as well. Thank you Top Golf for reaching out and making sure the second time around was much better than the first! I've been coming here since it's original opening. This is my first time ever leaving a yelp review, but I feel compelled to do so finally. I had Fiona as a bay host (server) and was blown away with the quality of service. not only did she go above an beyond to make our table laugh and feel attended too, when I spilt my ranch all over the ground she immediately helped me clean it up as well as get a new ranch for the wings within 45 seconds, going to the kitchen herself to get it. Then we had the manager Freddy come over and start talking to us. He complemented my clubs immediately and began talking golf with us. It was the first time I've ever felt as a server and a manager were truly our friends and I'll never forget this. I don't know if they will ever read this but thank you so much Freddy and Fiona for going above and beyond. I will definitely be coming back and telling this story for years to come! read more

Fun but not worth the wait. First time a 45 minute wait actually took 1.5 hrs. The next time we made the 45 minute drive out (one way) there it was a 3 hour wait. We left. Today we again made the 45 minute drive (one way) to find out it was a 4 plus hour wait. It's a fun place, but we are not going to wait that long for anything They need to figure out something to make the wait less. Reservations, time limits or something. Showed up to try this place out. They told me I would have to wait an hour and a half. I agreed, went to the sit down area to order food while I wait. They kicked me out of the restaurant area because a group was coming in. I went back upstairs to check on my bay at an hour and a half and they told me I had to wait another 60-90 minutes. Was able to get a full refund on the card I bought and the money I loaded on it. Thanks for wasting my time. read more

Never been to a place here the staff is so rude to the people... we have been waiting over an hour for food , The manager came by and asked how we were to which he replied we are getting a little hungry been so long.. she laughed and actually said everyone and told us our food to be up any moment that was 15 minutes ago. Our pod is now ready and we are waiting for our food that we already paid and still have not seen a thing. The gentleman who is helping us set up the game has been nothing but rude and condescending to us as well. Apparently they cannot appreciate people spending money and their location. This'll probably be the last time I'm here. We love the top golf in Tampa and hope this one figured itself out. This started out as a one star review, I'm giving one star extra for how well Scott did taking care of our issues. And one star for Ellen just for being an actually nice person who works here. Here's the deal: Service sux. It took my buddy an hour and half for a beer and burger. This is despite several inquiries. My ordeal not so great....took an hour for a turkey wrap and avocado. Facilities are good; sporting equipment is functional and new Please fire your food staff and waiters and hire people who know how to work. The reason they demand your credit card with the order is to secure their tips! Seriously, an awful way if you came to eat and drink---which was my sole intention. read more

Don't get me wrong, It's always a great time golfing here. But geez, I wish the hiring manager would hire friendlier people. There's nothing worse than walking in, excited to golf and getting interrogated by Katy at the door telling us we can't bring in water. If she would've nicely told us that we couldn't bring drinks in, we wouldn't have had an issue and we would've gladly thrown them away. Then we get to the area where you pay and even that girl seemed like she hated working there and didn't want to help us. Not the best experience walking in.
