I really enjoyed coming here! They were incredibly accommodating to my large group, which made the whole experience stress-free from the start. There are so many different things to do, whether you're in the mood for laser tag, bowling, arcade games, or just relaxing while watching a sports game. It's a great place for groups because there's something for everyone. The drinks were also surprisingly good and reasonably priced compared to other entertainment venues. One of my favorite things is that after 11 p.m. on weekends, it's 21+. It gives adults a chance to let their inner child out, play the games, and enjoy the atmosphere without it being overrun by kids. The staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout our visit. The entire venue is bright, lively, and full of energy, making it a fun place to spend an evening. They had a cool over hang indoor climbing thing who can looked pretty cool but we didn't get to try. You can tell the place is well-loved by how "out of service" and worn-out some of the games are, and how sticky they are. A worker or two could definitely go around wiping them a few times or more. I do like everything about the food and games at main event, I just don't like the prices. The games are each about 8 credits, $20.00 gets you 100 credits. That's expensive. Their servers are really good though, we had a great server who went above and beyond. Parking is easy, plenty in the lot. read more

Initially I liked the vibe as you walk in. Employees are helpful when assisting and it's very energetic. The sliders and pizza we had were good though it took them an extra 30 minutes for my sliders to be remade. Also when playing the games that had tickets when going to the winners circle to exchange them for prizes we noticed we didn't receive all of our points. For example we won the 100 tickets spot plus other ticket spots. when we went to cash in they said we only had 86 tickets. I explained that at one point we also hit the 100 tickets. That happened to all three of us. He did honor the tickets but who knows how many other tickets we missed and other customers are missing tickets. It's not cheap to play these games. Plus it's nothing to do with the establishment but considering it's in highlands ranch we had a few run ins with entitled customers that I had to put in their place. read more

Visited for the first time on a Monday night for an after work get together of about 20-30 people. We were one of the first to arrive and ordered our food right away. The food took about 30-45min to come but was overall decent. The fried pickles were awesome just a touch too salty and the fries were on point. Service was pretty challenging for the group as the server would take one order and then disappear. Some of the party's orders never came and a couple random orders were left on the table that did not belong to our group. I always wished I was a successful bowler. I've practiced more bowling than breathing, but alas, a score of 112 awaited me. Never performing on my aspiration makes alleys like these dreadful for me. Tonight was different - Finally, on the last frame as the slight breeze from the AC blew on my neck, I took a deep breath as my arm stretched back, and a sharp breath out as I released the 8 pound ball from my fingers. It slid down this slighty smaller than normal lane, and struck the pins with a heavy crash. It was a strike, my first strike. I have never had a feeling better than this, thank you Main Event. The manager David really went above and beyond to fix our last experience and I greatly appreciated that. We came back to give it another shot and we had a blast, but.......i hate to say; the service is just not good. All of the staff was friendly and that is great but we bowled for 57 minutes of our hour before the server in our section could be found and came to take a drink order. Coming here for a business outing was not what I expected. I had fun playing the games and I enjoyed the Gravity ropes. It's an interesting physical challenge where they strap you in a harness and you walk across various different types of rope bridges swinging and swaying precariously high above the main arcade floor. Super fun place where kids can easily spend lots of time. Of course, it gets pretty spendy after a while with all the games. You buy a card for $2.00 and then continue to load money onto it to play all kinds of arcade games. Their skee ball is kind of sad. A much shorter lane for kiddos. A few virtual games. Air hockey, hoops, etc. They also have laser tag, bowling, and a ropes course. Oh and don't forget the prize area! Believe me you'll spend a lot more than you'll get back in prizes. I love coming here and we do all the time! They have bowling, a rope course, arcade, pool tables, laser tag, so many other things too! We always do the combo packages when we come because it's cheaper than just bowling or just doing one thing here. Bowling is pretty expensive here and can get busy but I think it is such a fun experience here! Everyone we've interacted with has been very nice and able to explain how things work. I will say try to avoid coming when they have bowling leagues in because it is PACKED when they do. The food here is actually pretty decent too though for a place like this. We had a great time at Main Event celebrating my husband's 40th birthday. A few weeks in advance, I called to ask about packages for a group of 10. We were able to get a group deal at $34 per person for 2 hours of unlimited play, plus pizza and salads. I was linked up with an event coordinator and had to pay half in advance to hold the party. On the day of the event, we started with two lanes for bowling, then played a game of laser tag, followed by arcade games for the last hour (we received 10 cards that provided one hour of unlimited play). A few people in our group also did the gravity ropes. None of us had been to Main Event before so it was a fun experience for everyone! I gave it 4 stars because for me, as the party planner, it was stressful working with the staff. When we arrived at our party time, it took them 35 minutes to get us set up for bowling! We checked in at two different spots but kept getting told by staff that they were getting our event coordinator. Ultimately, we never met the event coordinator that I had been in touch with via email. And we were just left standing around a lot. After we were told which bowling lanes we were on, they sent us back to the front to get bowling shoes. When we went back to the lanes, they weren't turned on and it took another 10 minutes for staff to figure out how to set up our lanes so we could enter our names and start. When we switched over to laser tag, we were given a time to meet in front of the laser tag area. Again, no staff was there to greet us and we were left waiting around until we found someone to help us. There were no other groups playing, but still everything took a long time. The staff person was on her phone as we were starting, did not greet us or interact with us much at all. Just said "watch this video" and then sent us into the laser tag room. We had to figure out that there were two teams (red and blue) which she did not mention. Most of us did not understand the two types of shooting on the guns that she never bothered to explain. When we came out, she didn't say a word to us -- not "how was the game?" "you can put your suits back here." Nothing. I asked her if we would see our scores and she said "we don't print anything." It was only when we walked out of the laser tag area, we saw a TV screen with our scores and had to figure out who was who. Overall, we made the best of it and had fun with each other. But couldn't help but feel the incompetence of the staff. Like most places, I'm sure staffing shortages continue to impact the quality of service. So just have to keep our expectations low. I'm rarely at places like this. Mainly because they are filled with children, have overpriced games and no bar. However, with time to kill on a recent Friday my husband and I decided to pop in to see what this spot had to offer, and I'll admit, I'm a fan. Here's why: ++ Staff is friendly, helpful and pretty much stays out of everyone's way. We were greeted by a high school aged man, who gave us the rundown of the place, how to purchase a card to use for the arcade games, virtual reality, pool, and the like. He was quick and to the point, while providing the perfect amount of info needed. ++ The space itself is MUCH larger than it appears from the outside. First to greet guests to the right is the "pool hall" with pool tables along with a little dining area and the fully stocked bar leading. With the games and the virtual reality simulator in the center, laser tag in the back, overhead ropes course and an entire area for hosting events, the place certainly feels spacious and full of fun. ++ Pricing for a starter card is reasonable starting at just $15 - it goes pretty fast when playing a variety of game though. When needing to kill time again, I'd gladly come here! read more

This review pertains to my visit on 6/4/24 afternoon. This entire place is run by teenagers. There is absolutely no management whatsoever. The "unlimited" play is limited by the lack of willingness of the employees in blue shirts to do their jobs and work each station. The gravity ropes were closed at 7pm due to the employee who was on staff being "off" even though there were plenty of other teens in blue on staff all at the front counter and standing around doing absolutely nothing. The laser tag requires a "booking" which does not actually exist but is handed off to the sweet and only helpful employee who was working the prize shop. I regret I wasn't able to get the name of the employee at the prize shop because they were honestly doing more work than the 4 other teens standing around the front, or the "manager" in black shirt on duty who called me a liar when I pointed out their signs clearly state gravity ropes are open until 10pm. No effort for reimbursement or apology made. The only shuffleboard station is poorly maintained and in awful shape, the pool area is also in sad shape. Servers in purple were at least friendly and doing their jobs. It's a real shame this location is so poorly managed. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

Brought my teen here with his buddies on the final day of winter break. It was pretty much a madhouse compared to other times we've been here. We ordered food and the kids played laser tag and video games. A pretty good version of this kind of business, but they are WILDLY understaffed. The girl manning the front desk was amazing, super friendly, fast, and competent and if management is smart, they'll give her a huge raise. Service employees as good as this are few and far between. Having said that, the line was persistently out of control because they left this poor girl running everything by herself. Occasionally a beardy guy would come help but they were really trying to skimp by with 1 person on the desk. Boo. Next, the wait staff for the bar/restaurant. When we arrived, the front desk girl told us we could seat ourselves in the restaurant, but she warned us there was only 1 person (the bartender) taking care of all food orders. WHAT? After we seated ourselves, I went to the bar just to let the bartender (Ryan, I think?) know we were there so when he had a chance, could he come take our orders? He was nice and said he would when he could. 15 min later, nothing. I then saw a girl who looked like a server walking around and I approached her. She was a waitress helping Ryan, so at least he had some help. She took our order and was super super sweet, took care of us well in spite of having way too much to do. Her name was Jaina and she could been a crabby unpleasant person and it would've been understandable but instead she was sunny and positive. This is another one who should get a raise. After a while, a few more wait staff and busboy types came on the clock and that helped things out as far as cleaning tables and running food. The food (pretzels, pizza, and caesar salad) was all fine, no complaints. The self-serve beverage fountain was great for refills since I would've felt bad interrupting the little staff there was when it was time for a refill. Overall, the place was pretty dirty due to short staff. Bathrooms were a disaster and drink station sticky and disgusting. A+ for the attitudes of all staff. There were multiple hairs in my food, as well as slow service. I had to wait for 45 minutes for a Mac and cheese. I stubbed my toe multiple times and tripped over a bunch of cords lying on the ground. I'm pretty sure an employee called me a slur. The lighting almost gave me a seizure. We love Main Event. We have been coming for years, and it's just THE place to spoil the kids. Today, we held a 10:30am pancake birthday party for our 6 year old. It was great! They provided a decorate-your-own pancake service, kid drinks, bowling, a craft, and some arcade time. Our host, Kerry, was so attentive and kept the party moving. This place was a blast! My whole family was in town for a wedding and we wanted something fun for everyone to do. We came in with a huge group, no reservation. We have all ages from 5 to 50's! They were able to easily accommodate our group. The kids and the adults loved all of the different games. We also got a bowling lane which was really fun to do with family. They provide socks and shoes too! The drinks were all made well and I was surprised that my tab was so cheap! We also ordered food to snack on which all got eaten. I actually loathe this place entirely. Here i sit, waiting to play my game of laser tag that I waited an hour to play, only to have the most stupid game I've ever played. Before this, I tried to order some food. I waited in a line that had no worker in it, and when I asked at the bar, they said I couldn't talk to the bartenders. Thankfully, a waitress showed up to take my order. She said with practically a tear in her eye, "order fast, I have to wait 22 other tables tonight". This woman openly admitted to me she wanted to kill herself. Even before that, the man at the front desk handed me a wristband, asked for my card, and had the audacity to ask me for a 5 dollar tip. Main Event is another one of those drink and game/bowl type of places where they offer all the bells and whistles for date night arcade fun or a family outing or celebration. Parking is plenty . Walk-ins on a weekday are pretty easy. The employees were pretty helpful. I explained to each one who I interacted with that I had never been before. I asked all important questions of time limits , wristbands, activities included. I decided to bowl 3 games. Very cool glow theme. Paid for the shoe rental, that was pretty cheap. Bought an arcade activity card, they add double points on certain days at certain times , days vary. Just before I finished bowling I ordered some food- burgers , chips and queso, and Shirley temple drinks . Very tasty for this type of entertainment place. After the food , went to the points redemption center to put my name down to get a time for the rope climb activity, and laser tag. I really need to get back into the gym , laser tag was so fun and active , it wiped me out LOL! The rope climb activity was pretty interesting . I think the best part was putting all the straps and harnesses on me. You can take a few different paths and you can take your time , it's not too difficult. Being my first time , I pretty much tried everything out once. I didn't do a repeat of the rope climb challenge, laser tag or bowling. The arcade games were fun and I racked up enough points to redeem them for some prizes before I left. I felt o got my moneys worth. Now , with all that positive review the only reason I gave it four-stars was because there is no enforcement of patrons smoking right near the doors of the entrance and Colorado law says you can't do that and unfortunately somebody in my party got an asthma attack and had to go to the hospital because of that. That was a very unfortunate situation after an otherwise good visit. Called the GM and the GM addressed that going forward they will have employees try to monitor that more . I think it was like $20-22 all you can play + $5 bowling shoes. Bowling is alright. The lanes are horrible- not waxed properly or anything. It's nice they offer different "types" of games. I ended up preferring to play normal bowling games though. Laser tag was underwhelming. Just not my thing. The obstacle course sign up sheet filled up too quickly! I was able to get squeezed in. That was actually pretty fun! Running on the zipline at the end was the best part. Fun place for a family, for sure. read more

This was probably one of the more expensive bowling alleys I've been to and the lane kept glitching. The bumpers randomly kept going up and down and the lane stopped working all together for a period of time. It would randomly clear all the pins sometimes too and give you a spare when you didn't get it. When your paying as much as they charge I would expect better quality. read more
