We were really craving some bowling and hadn't been in Denver before. Most places near us were insanely expensive, and we just wanted some good ole bowling without all the bells and whistles. After a little more Googling, we found Crown Lanes and found that bowling and rentals were very reasonably priced. We grabbed some beers and played 3 games, which was cheaper than what 1 game would be at some other places. It was crowded, but we had called a few hours earlier and were able to reserve a lane. I also found out from reading the articles they have up on their walls that this bowling alley was purchased by a man who wanted to make bowling more accessible to those with special needs. They also offer certain free bowling days to veterans and first responders. I am so glad we got to support a place like this, and I think we have found our new go-to bowling spot! read more

I should say we had a decent experience. The atmosphere is classic retro bowling and the staff was accommodating. However, the place was not as clean as I would have hoped (especially the bar bathrooms!) and the lanes were barely in acceptable bowling condition. I was very disappointed to be told that the owners are big MAGA supporters as I expected better from family owned lanes. My family will not be returning to support this business. I am giving a second star because the guy at the bar was good to us and the food was ok and reasonably priced. I don't want to trash the hard working staff. If this was only about the lane conditions, cleaning of the bathrooms, and the ownership, I would only give one star. read more

Next time if you want to be rude to people that are just simply trying to enjoy their time here at the bowling alley and didn't realize it was closed due to it not being updated on maps. Let me start by saying I've spent a lot of money here, and previously had a good experience up until when I took some friends here to celebrate my boyfriends birthday two weeks ago. We had reserved two lanes ahead of time and got checked in alright. Less than half way through the first game, both lanes stopped working and were out of service for a good 1.5 hours. We spent a total of 3 hours here, half of the time in which our lanes didn't work. At the end when I went to check out and pay, I asked the young man behind the counter if there was anything the could do to help offset the poor experience of both lanes not working for half of the time we were there - this is when things went south. He said couldn't do anything for us (a simple apology would have sufficed) because "he didn't feel like it". I asked to speak with his manager and he said no, as he is the owners son and the owners were not in. Eventually, he started swearing at me for "trying to change his mind"... We paid over $150 for 3 hours, 1.5 hours of which we were unable to bowl due to the lanes not working. Not only was the young man rude and arrogant, he couldn't care less about providing paying customers a somewhat decent experience. Crown Lanes, you've lost all my business and I will not be returning. read more

This business is not the easiest to find and the curb appeal not the best BUT it is a real gem. Step inside and you'll find a clean pleasant environment complete with modern electronic scoring. It is a family owned business (which I like to patronize) and the staff is very nice. Prices are reasonable and they offer free weekday owning for military and first responders. Went there a couple months ago. First time going to a bowling alley in many years. We were there with a bunch of friends. They are separating each party for space between another because of the pandemic. Looks like they are sanitizing the shoes and balls very well. Good customer service. read more

Best bowling alley in town for casual or serious games. Great, friendly staff. $4 a game when most places charge $7. FYI there are a lot of leagues that bowl here, so call ahead and make sure they're open for drop ins before coming if you're just looking for a few games. Knowledgeable pro shop with reasonable prices. On site bar with the basics, including TVs and decent pool tables. Food is what you'd expect for a bowling alley. Great, retro vibes. read more

I love this place. Very veteran friendly. Veterans and their families bowl free on Tuesdays. (***) food is decent for a bowling alley, cold beer and there is a small bar area with a foosball table and a couple pool tables. Lanes are well maintained on a regular basis. Staff is friendly and helpful. I believe these are the old fashioned wood floors. They play good music so you can hear it while you bowl. They have a pro shop too. John is a nice guy and won't sell you more than you need just to make an extra buck. He runs a small honest business. I needed a wrist support. He sold me a $20 support. He could have sold me the $75 wrist support but said I didnt need it. I bought a rolling two ball bag at a great price and my son bought a ball after that. Looking to get my new shoes from him. Eventhough it is not "handicap accessible" but, I am told they have built ramps themselves to accommodate. There is plenty of parking and the entryway is at street level. I was skeptical at first when driving up. We decided to go ahead and go in because it kind of reminded us of a bowling alley in our hometown in TX. So glad we did. SUPER CLEAN. Excellent service. Great prices. Can't beat it! I didn't have socks (we went on a whim) and they gave fresh new ones for me to use complimentary. It was a bit late on Friday evening, for a family with young kids, when we decided to go bowling (about 8:00). We're from out of state so didn't know where to go. We drove past another alley that was definitely geared toward adults in the evening and worried we wouldn't find somewhere. (Son, 7, was really excited.) Then we drove over to Crown Lanes. From the outside, we assumed it was the same as the last but I'm glad we decided to check before we left. It's family friendly. The woman who helped us was co-owner and very friendly. She was patient and accommodating when we had questions/requests. The facility is clean and wasn't crowded, with ample spacing between groups. We had a blast bowling and then stepped into the little arcade for some more fun. And all of it was reasonably priced. We will definitely visit again next time we're in town. read more

I have taken the kids bowling here numerous times and they just love Crown Lanes. The staff is always great and the bowling prices can not be beat. I like it because everybody is very friendly and casual. When one of the kids scored a strike everybody in the next lane stood up and cheered. Cool. read more

The very poor reviews seem to be when a previous ownership had control of the lanes. i have bowled here for the better part of two seasons before Covid shut us down in March of 2020. This facility is maybe not the spiffiest bowling house, but from a real bowlers perspective, it is a very good place to bowl. The staff were attentive, the food prices were reasonable compared to any other similar bowl house in the area. They treated our league quite fairly. I am looking forward to bowling in leagues here again. read more

Absolutely love this family owned bowling alley! Jake and his family do a great job as operators. The lanes are well kept, the food is excellent, and the bar has plenty of options. Everything you would expect from a bowling alley - cheap games, cheap beer, cosmic bowling, questionable song choices from the DJ, etc. Not giving 5 stars because the woman who worked the front desk was extremely rude and unaccommodating. Not many independent bowling alleys left out here and ive been going here for years as i am a native to the area . Best prices around and ever since new owners took over its been on the come up. If I had the option I wouldn't give a single star to this place. My only exception is that it's close by my house, a cheap uber and cheap bowling. Downside=the bar staff BLOWS! "Bar manager" (I was told is the blonde,heavy set woman with the ultimate resting bitch face) had the most unprofessional, unattractive, undissolveable attitude I've ever experienced in a Lakewood establishment. (Side note, I work in a bar and have learned customer service feeds my lifestyle and it's working out positively for me...hint,hint.) Fortunately my friends and I had time to make it to another bowling alley before bowling and the kitchen was closed so I was able to establish sufficient time for this review. The staff is rude. i took 2 kids and my husband to go bowling and spent 50 bucks on food just for all of us including our 5 year old to end up with food poisoning. The lanes were broken it wouldn't place some pins down and the thing that picks up the pins kept getting stuck. It was a waste of money. read more

We called, Jessenia answered, we asked if a lane is available. She said yes we just had a few families leave. We take an 15 minute uber ride. Jessenia is at the counter, we ask what lane would be available, she replies we're booked. We asked how long she thought the wait would be, she said I dont know she will grab us at the bar when a lane is ready. My friends went to the bar. Out of curiosity I stuck around to find she had three lanes available, and simply gave them to the people that were in line behind us. One after another. Clearly she was picking favorites. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, and went to the bar, we wait an hour, before we came back out. She now tells us, I dont have time to keep track and get you guys when a lanes ready. I asked again, so really we were never going to get a lane right, should we just leave your home then? She said yes. That said, visitors be aware, be sure to dress and look the South Federal part as Jessenia does so well. Clearly shes trying to keep her establishment as hood has she can. Be sure to ask her by name, I'm sure she'll take care of you, service is her priority. read more
