I stopped in mid golf round for a quick bite. I got a brat and it was fine. The bun was nothing special and so was the brat. There were toppings on the side and I added onions, shredded cheese and some sauerkraut (don't judge!) For the price ($9.28 with tip) it was a bit high but not abnormal for a golf course. Ah, the golfers beloved "19th hole". MCT has ample space for pre- and/or post-golfing food and bevvies. It's a great stop before hitting the back 9 if you need a quick snack (muffins, protein bars and candy) but for a dining experience, there is a lot left to be desired. The usje bevvies options are offered, the pretzels and queso app was good, but the rye of the Reuben sammy was burnt and they botched up my son's order (he ordered chicken tenders but the staff brought him a burger....big difference, right?). Service is best at the bar where the staff was attentive to our beverages. Happy hour runs M-F from 4p-7p. Might have to try their Trivia event, held on Thursday evenings. I only discovered this as a poster announcing the event was posted in the ladies room. This little tavern has the basic bar foods for the golfers. I do not golf but I do feel welcome when I eat here, usually for a quick lunch. Their pastas are decent and their sandwiches are probably my favorite. It's always a pretty chill environment, even on the weekends when I've seen them most busy. read more

This is a restaurant on a golf course. They don't do online orders so you have to call in. I love this place. The food is top notch, always delicious and fresh and surprisingly fast. This time I got the Reuben Rolls which is basically a Rueben sandwich fried in an eggroll with 1000 island for dipping. These were amazing... juicy, tasty, crunchy and full of flavor. I will def get again. We also got the southwest turkey melt, which wasn't as spicy as I was hoping, but it was still delicious tons of shaved turkey meat and the sourdough was grill toasted to perfection, buttery and delicious. We ate at the Tavern yesterday for the first time; and I'm so glad we did! We had a wonderful meal, with a wonderful server, Lexi. My husband had biscuits and gravy that he said were the best he'd ever had. He really liked the hash browns too - very crispy!! I had the grilled turkey sandwich with pepper jack cheese, chilies, and ranch dressing on sourdough, with homemade kettle chips. Yummy!! Lexi did a super job. She has a great smile, and is so cheerful, friendly, and efficient. We will difinitely be returning soon!!! read more

Perhaps similar to a tricky golf lay-up shot, Murphy Creek needs to be many things for many different people: it's a golf course clubhouse; it's the local restaurant for the MC subdivision; it's a tournament course, it's an event venue. It's underneath the Buckley AFB flightpath... Wait, there was COVID-- and now there's not. Why aren't you open during a blizzard? Umm... You get my drift. This is a *great* clubhouse, restaurant and patio with outstanding people who really do care. Give MC Tavern some grace and you will be well rewarded. read more

We live in murphy creek, 2 blocks away from the tavern, recently my husband went there to order take out, sat at the bar and had a beer while he was waiting, but nobody ever came with the food , so he asked the bartender if he could check on it, and he came back with the food, and when he got home, it was obvious it had been sitting in the kitchen ready, but nobody had checked, when he got home, had to put our oven on and heat it up Now a few weeks later, thought we would give them another chance, maybe had a bad night Big mistake, ordered a patty melt, and a recently, and again, my husband sat waiting and nobody at the bar ever came back with the order, so he finally got their attention, and like the last time, must have been sitting in the kitchen and nobody payed attention The thing that made it worse, was when we opened the bag when my husband got home, the food was of course cold, but was worse, was the bread on both was black and burnt, so had to toss it and only could eat the inside read more

We had the best time tonight at MCT. Yummy dinner starting with the nachos and everyone loved their salads, sandwiches and Chile rellenos. So fun to discover that there was a no buy-in, just-for-fun poker game starting. So comfortable sitting by the fire having a glass of wine and visiting. This is the living room we all enjoy. The new ownership has gradually run this place into the ground, whether it be the low quality food, or the terrible service. On top of that they open for a couple of hours one day, then are closed for 2 days, then open again, horrible consistency. This used to be an awesome little neighborhood restaurant. Now they're closed for the winter because no one goes there anymore, so they're only going to be open when there are golfers scheduled. Please sell this place to someone who knows how to run a restaurant, and give us back our neighborhood hangout. Clowns. read more

After we finished someone came and picked up plates but no one ever brought over our tab. So we left what we approximately owed on the table and left. I would give this place a ZERO if I could.. Worst customer service i ever experienced came from the Amy, the "manager" of this tavern. Lived here and ordered from here for 15 years and I will never go there again. In the last year we have ordered take out twice. Both times "Amy" takes our order and is acting rude and inconvenienced the entire time. Putting us on hold, not repeating the order and not giving a total before hanging up. Both times the order was wrong and both times we paid for things we never got. Calling them to fix it goes no where. In the entrance of the site of 2008 amature championship golf, is a restaurant inside. Nice, clean, comfy building with a petite touch of class. I order over the phone a lettuce wrap jalapeño jack burger with a side of cottage cheese. They were out of fries. That's fine with me, I am on a low carb lifestyle. Ready in 15 mins to 20. I show up 10 mins later. Lauren a very nice attentive staff, "we are out of lettuce" Ugh and I was being charged $2.50 for the cottage cheese?? Was it not included as a side? I don't know. I had to wait 25 more mins to receive my order. They fixed it by giving me a an extra slice of cheese. Lettuce they have but only shredded. Price is ugh but convenience is the wow factor here. My hamburger was not superb but was good. I agree with the other reviewers. I did use the yelp deal and I honestly would not use it again. read more

Once again disappointed! Why is this place such a hit or miss? The blue cheese dip for our hot wings looked like mayo that'd been sitting in the sun for three days. The wings were pretty good, and we like there home made chips for salsa. And the kids that worked there today were bored silly but really nice. I get that it was a slow day. But come on! Ordered to go, came in and paid and was told my order was not ready . I thought it a bit unusual that there was a to go order on the table but Noone checked it? I sat ther for twenty minutes while I was asked twice if I was waiting on a take out order, still Noone checked. Finally the waitress that took my payment asked me again if I was waiting on take out, she then looked at the order on the table and said here it's ready. I am not taking home food that I have sat and stared at for twenty minutes nor knowing how long it sat there before I got there. I told her she could keep her cold soggy food and I walked out after paying sixty bucks for nothing more than a twenty minute wait while staring at the food I could have been home eating. They will not be getting my business anymore and I will do my best to tell anyone I know how I feel about the place, complete incompetence! read more

We haven't been to the Murphy Creek Tavern in over 2 years, due to Covid and the service wasn't great and the menu items were expensive for what they offered. But then we heard they were under new management, so we thought tonight in a Wednesday evening we would give it a try. We live in the neighborhood and rode our bikes up there. When we got there, we sat ourselves (which is normal). 2 others tables sat themselves after us. Those other 2 tables were greeted and asked for their drink order. We were ignored for 30 mins - no one gave us silverware, asked for our drinks, nothing before we got up and left. Still no-one cared. I wanted to share this in case there is anyone out there interested in visiting this place, DONT! Not to mention their prices have gone up for very simple basic menu items. Not the best golf purse bar/restaurant I've ever been to but it's still pretty good. Drinks are decently priced, they have awesome happy hour deals, and the chips and salsa are decent but not great. I did however try their special the over day which was a Blueberry BBQ beef sandwich with potato salad. The potato salad was ok but the sandwich was AMAZING! The workers all all very friendly and there is a nice area to sit at outside. I really like how friendly everybody is and the proximity to my house make it one of my favorite places to go. read more

The best way to describe this place is comparing it to your favorite pair of sweatpants. Sure its cozy, but it is not any destination that you should be traveling out of your way for. The food is pretty bland. Nothing really is to die for however, nothing isn't terrible either. (Turns out is pretty goddamn hard to ruin a burrito or burger) They try to shake things up country club style by adding flair to the menu via fancy french words and marinades buuuuuut lets be real ... those are fancy words for mayo and ketchup. Service is legit, the servers are attentive, and do a good job ... but kinda lack any distinctive personality that left an impression. I will give a thumbs up to the beer selection. Cocktails are poured with a heavy hand (which with my golf scores ... this is a GOOD thing!) Also for some reason this place has a knack to just have children running around the place for no reason. I dunno if the parents of Murphy Creek just suck at life or maybe its a golf course thing but it's pretty frustrating when your trying to watch a game over a cold beer with family. Went for Sunday breakfast and had the breakfast chimichanga. It was very good! The service could have been better though, and that's why I'm giving MCT a "meh" rating. The servers were fine, but could have been nicer and more attentive. We had to ask for to go boxes twice. We had 2 checks and my friend let them know he was short on time. He waited a bit and ended up having to run inside to get his check. We waited a while longer & ours finally came out. Thankfully we weren't in a hurry. The burgers are so juicy and mouth watering delicious. A large variety of toppings to chose from. I like it cooked medium with swiss cheese. I pair it with onion rings although there are many options including cottage cheese, fries, tots and chips. I also really enjoy the buffalo chicken salad. Your choice of fried or grilled and all the ingredients are fresh. They also have a fun chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich. Your choice of chocolate, vanilla or strawberry ice cream.
