Not sure why the ratings are higher, but we had a blast last Friday night! We planned to only play for an hour (turned into 2.5), and then we even stayed for food and drinks. I'm only leaving one star because it's mandatory for a review. 0 star service. I recently came into Top Golf at the Atlanta Midtown location for my first visit for my girlfriends 22nd birthday and as a Hospitality / Service Worker I was shocked at how horrible the treatment we received was. The incident occurred as we where ordering drinks from our server and the bar. We were refused alcohol to one member in our party who was NOT underage with visual proof of identification on a cellular device, due to company policy we understood their position. We decided to continue to stay and eat but as we played we noticed the ENTIRE STAFF congregate and hover over our party essentially harassing us why we played trying to catch us giving alcohol to the member in our group who did not have a physical id which did not occur. After several minutes of hovering we where approached by an assistant manager whose name I do not know but the young lady was light skin about 5'7 with blonde curly hair and she came and physically put her hand in the face of the guest who was allegedly drinking without identification and singled her out to embarrass her on her birthday yelling "I SAW YOU DRINKING YOU GOTTA GO". After several attempts trying to communicate with management who had no interest in solving this matter cordially we decided to eat and leave since the food just arrived. After spending $100 at the bar and an additional $200 on food we were told to pay for food we weren't allowed to eat (they threw it away right In front of us $200 worth of food in downtown Atlanta with one of the highest homeless populations in the US). We refused to pay and immediately the police and staff "security" who was just a large guy that worked there trying to intimidate us and threatening physical harm. To say the least this was the worst experience I have ever encountered and I do not recommend People visit this location because it is obvious all money is not good money here and in the event of ANY issues there is no willing staff that works here interested in helping resolve problems only in ESCALATING and making customers unappreciated and uncomfortable. Very disappointed Additionally we had a friend working as an associate there who was publicly disrespected while trying to help de-escalate by this assistant manager (young woman with blonde hair)... this just added to it read more

It's fun but I feel it's overpriced. I've been twice. Once when it first opened and just last night. Basically it can be described as if bowling and a driving range had a baby, that baby would be top golf. It's nice for group and family outings and you don't have to be good at golf or have ever played to like it and have a good time. If you aren't into playing, you have the option to sit on the sectional in each bay and just enjoy beer and nachos or other bar food and laugh and cheer on people in your group. Good times. We just played a game where if you drove your ball and it hit any color circles you got a designated amount of points. Pros: the facility is very nice. Contemporary vibes. Nice technology. Large and accommodating. Areas for just dining or playing games like pool or air hockey, etc. there's a DJ on weekend nights that spins current hits. The food is also pretty decent. As stated earlier, you don't have to like, know, or understand golf to enjoy yourself. Each bay is its own section and you have a server to show you the different game options and order food and drinks from. They're good with climate control of the bays. Each bay accommodates 6 players and 8 people total (if you have others who aren't playing). Cons: it's pretty overpriced. If you don't want to wait in a massive line that stretches outside of the building for hours waiting on a bay, I suggest you reserve one...however reservations will run you about $50 and if you have a gift card it can't be used for that portion (we got my dad a gift card and I was told bc the reservations are handled by a different company, you can't use the Topgolf gift card). Then after that each player must pay $5 for a players card ($4.50 for replacement cards). Then the bay is $45 per hour, then you have to order food (which isn't too badly priced but they are not generous with portion sizes). So you can easily spend almost $200 before you sit down to eat or play a game. Sure you can split that between your group, but it still seems overpriced to me for a random weekend night of fun or for a party smaller than 6 (the amount allowed to play per bay). Seems the servers are overworked or maybe there's guaranteed gratuity. We had to hunt ours down for napkins, silverware, share plates, questions, and change at the end of the night. Summary: the waits are long, the servers are meh, the food is decent, the place is fun, everything is overpriced. I honestly don't have to go again after going twice. read more

Top Golf is a super fun hangout spot! I was hesitant at first because I've only ever been mini golfing. My friend was almost adamant that we go here. I had no idea what to expect, but I am beyond happy that we went. Top Gold has a really neat interior. A bar to the left when you enter with a ton of televisions and patrons. It was a Sunday afternoon that we went and I guess lots of people were there to watch football. To the right is the menu and the register. I believe it was $35 per hour after 12 pm. You also have to register for a $6 Top Golf card if you don't already have one. We were seated on the top floor which had a great view of the course and comfortable seating. We ordered drinks, which were fairly priced and an appetizer. We had the chips with queso, salsa, and guacamole. It was delicious. There are several Golf clubs to choose from and different options for games that can be played. We were able to get 2 games in during the hour that we opted for. It was so much fun. When I'm in Atlanta, this is a place I'd have to visit each and every time. I recommend Top Golf for a good time with good people. read more

Topgolf, it aint cheap but it's fun. Make reservations though or you could end up waiting a long time during peak hours. If you have a golfer in the family, or even if you don't, this is a great place to celebrate a birthday or other even at. It's kind of like driving range meets darts, meets video game, meets bar, meets restaurant. You do not need to know how to play golf to have a great time and its pretty funny how often the new player, the non-golfer wins the game. read more

I came here for a work related social event. It was ok. Golf isn't really my thing, but this form of it makes it a little more entertaining. Service could have been a lot better. We had 2 or 3 dinner stations and food had run out for some of it. It was hard to flag down a waiter when I needed help. The golf bag drink I got was a little weak, but nothing an extra shot couldn't handle. I'm terribly scared of bees and there seemed to be quite a few lurking around our area. I was at this location last weekend and had a 'less than' experience. Brad, the Operations Manager, told me he would "overlook" that I PAID for 30 minutes to warm up while I waited on friends to arrive. I needed the bay to be reserved again because I stopped playing for a bit while waiting. The place was maybe at 40% capacity, so it was not as if there was a wait. There was another employee who was very sketchy and was seemingly casing my purse on a number of occasions. I am not at all impressed with this place, or their management. read more

One of the best experiences with golfing ever! It's an all in one place. Food, drinks, and golf! The rooftop bar has to be my absolute favorite in the world! Drinks wasn't as strong as I would have liked but the food and overall experience was amazing. So if you aren't a lifetime member prior to going to golf you have to obtain it to golf. After receiving your card you will then be sent to the concierge which they would then assign you to your designated booth. It took about 20 minutes wait time to receive our booth. Which was cool I was sippin frose lol then we ordered wings which were perfect. They were crispy and sauced just like I like them but not overly saucy. The waitress seemed new but was very helpful and knowledgeable in anything that I asked. Golfing was a blast!!!! To score points you have to hit the golf balls in lit up targets on the field! You can also see everyone else who's golfing hitting their balls and watching their balls fly! Such an amazing way to golf. Live dj comes around 9pm and he's awesome!! This was my first time here and it was pretty fun! There was an hour and a half wait time. It was very busy and a lot of people. So I can't fault them for that. I like how there were 3 different floors with bars and bathrooms on each floor. The thing I did not like was how everyone had to have a Top Golf card to be able to put their names on the board. Apparently I was told before that people were able to split the cost of the lane. But now you have to all have a Top Golf card to be able to split the tab. If we all wanted to get a card, it would have taken a long time to get cards because there was a super long line. I think it would be cool if there was an option while in the lane to offer anyone who didn't have a card to get one. I was able to try the boneless wings which were alright. And I had the Long Island. I do like how there were different types of clubs to choose from. I also like how the golf balls came out when you hovered the club over a sensor. The overall experience was pretty fun. I would definitely go again. read more

Such a great location! I have been to their location in downtown Las Vegas as well as Alpharetta in addition to this visit. This one is by far my favorite! Our server was named Hoyt and he was great! His customer service was wonderful and he was very helpful when we had issues with our bar. The food was great (we ordered quesadillas, nachos and a burger) all were good. I wasn't crazy about my margarita, but that was the only potential negative about he visit. I recommend it! read more

They showed him how to hold his golf club, gave him suggestions on how to stand and they spoke to him as the would anyone else. The didn't see a diagnosis and I am grateful for that. Ok I really really enjoyed the golf on this driving range.....that's the big draw to this place...so 5 star on that..we have come here twice within 3 day period and plan on coming here unless we try going to another golfing range that not for pomp & circumstance....For this place to be so nice in appearance....the FOOD IS AWFUL...the burgers are dry & no flavor at all...but he menu paints a pretty picture....Ok I what are the prosciutto artichoke and Olive flatbread pizza I asked the waitress was it good she said it was it was terrible as it was extremely dry oh mmy God it was disgusting and for the price of $10 it should have been $2.. furthermore the service ohmygod the waitress on both occasions have been so subpar and I don't want to say something that's typical but if you come here you'll understand. The food was so disappointing I didn't even complain to the manager because I don't want them to think it's about getting anything free, the food is just so subpar. And for that I could only give this place a 2-star. We made a reservation online. We call the morning of our golf and asked if we could request to be put on the ground level. The person on the phone said she would make a note and take care of it. (She did not have our name, time, or any information). When I questioned, she said well you are calling from the number you reserved under, right? I said no and gave her the name and time of play, etc. When we arrived and asked about this, the staff member said " That person you spoke to is in another state and does not know a thing about our set up in Atlanta. We don't even have the ground floor open." He was totally negative about the person who answered THEIR phone. The bays were clean and staff was average. Expensive night. Note to Hugh D., Business Customer Service @Topgolf- it's total non-customer service to refer all complaints on Yelp To go report it again on your own corporate support site. What is your job, if it's not to report and mange customer complaints? Hopefully things will improve with the customer service. read more

I recently visited Top Golf for the first time to celebrate a friend's birthday. We arrived around 8pm on a Saturday night so, you guessed it, it was PACKED. Thankfully, we already purchased membership cards in which we were able to skip the long line. After some sweet talking - full transparency - we were able to get a bay in about 20 minutes. We had a BLAST! The concept was a tad confusing at first but once we got the hang of it we were on a roll. The food and drinks are okay - average bar selections. THIS IS THE WORST TOP GOLF EVER!!!!!!!!!! If you are an event of any kind (corporate, birthday party etc.) DO NOT COME HERE!!! After speaking with 3 managers this top golf continued to charge our party and additional $175. They told us twice that our party had the VIP deposit on our account which included a $175 drink voucher. We ended up paying for said drink voucher on our own dime on top of the ridiculous $500 bay rental we had for 2 bays for 2 hours. Our total was over $700 not including the $250 deposit. Ok so this was my first time going to this location for top golf. It was a Friday night and my friend wanted to have a birthday get together there. Paling on a Friday night over there was pretty intense. It takes a while if you don't plan to do valet. I didn't plan to stay long so valet want really and option I was considering. When I finally made it to the entrance from my super far parking space, I was greeted by some guys giving directions on where to go for what. If you had a top golf card, you could go straight to the line to reserve a bay. Otherwise you had to wait in a really long line to get a card and then go wait in line to get a bay. Not sure how i feel about that but hey...not my establishment. Overall the wait was a little more than an hour which i guess isn't too bad for a Friday night. It's a nice spot. The bar upstairs has huge Tvs and a large patio area. Menu options looked appetizing. I'd come back. read more

This was a really cool experience. Today, it rained but due to the architecture of Top Golf we were still able to play without one drop of rain touching us. I reccommend this place to anyone. It was just myself and a date. We had never been, so were very excited about trying something different and new. Not to mention, I had only heard good things from fellow coworkers. Upon arriving it was a little scattered and confusing but we finally had someone help us out and get us in the right direction. Once we got seated we were ready to go. The woman who sat us was very kind and helped explain how the game works etc. However, I have to say that our server was very difficult. My date had ordered two beers right off the bat, after about 5-10 minutes, she came back saying they were out of Corona (which we ended up seeing later on at the bar downstairs). That was fine, he ordered a different kind and then 10 minutes later only one came. When she brought that one, I asked if we could go ahead and get another (even though he had requested two to begin with). She seemed very irritated by our request and took about another 10 minutes to get that one. This went on the whole hour and a half we were at the bay. At one point she BLATANTLY ignored us, went around us and we never even ended up getting our last round of beer. This was incredibly frustrating for both of us. It may have been because there was just two of us, so she was more concerned with the larger groups. We were there to enjoy the atmosphere, and have a fun and different date experience, that I have heard such good things about. I don't know how often this happens at your location, but it's left a sour taste in my mouth and has me not wanting to go back. With prices that high, and service that poor, it really surprised me. read more

Party of 5 This was my first time going and it was amazing. We were told we had a 30 minute wait for a bay to open but, it ended up being less then 20 minutes. We had ordered food and drinks everything came out quick and it was phenomenal. Service was amazing everyone was friendly and the staff was outstanding. Our Bay actually ran out of golf balls. Irina the manager came to the rescue she was very nice and had the situation under control. She apologize for the inconvenience and gave us and additional 30 minutes to our session. I understand things happen, but she went above and beyond to set everything straight. Every single staff member was amazing always making sure we where taken care of. Have you seen the Seinfeld where Jerry has a rental car reservation but they don't have a car for him? "You know how to TAKE the reservation, you just don't know how to KEEP the reservation" So the business model of Top Golf is that when you have a reservation, it doesn't mean you have a bay waiting for you. We check-in, the woman says she needs to check on something, goes into a back room, then comes back to tell us it will be a 15-30 minute wait to see if a bay will be available for us. I asked what the reservation is for? Her reply is: To put you ahead of the walk-in players. WHAT? So we get a drink and step outside to wait for the text. A chik sandwich company was having a corporate event in the area we were standing. We were not within 6 feet of anyone in the group. The last table was not being used by anyone so we stood there with our drink on an empty table. Three servers came by to ask us if we were with the event. We said no but would move it anyone needed it. Seriously we are standing next to an empty table. After the third person told us, we picked up our drinks and stepped away from the table. At this point, we are just standing outside watching the other golfers. While standing there with our drinks in our hands, a man comes up to us and says we will have to come inside away from the table. He was so rude! Believe me, we are polite people and would never interfere with anyone else's event or gathering. It was my first and last experience at Top Golf.
