There were popular brands with a large selection from each such as Fableism, Ruby Star Society, Sarah Hearts, etc. I ended up with some gorgeous deadstock cotton seersucker, out of my comfort zone but very special. One critique is that their bottomweight and coating section was fairly limited, but I'm assuming that they were slowly transitioning into Spring/Summer choices at that time. Everything felt high quality and intentionally selected, not at all like the big box stores. Pricing was on-par with most independent stores - not cheap, but worth it. I hear that they have sales every once in awhile so I will be on the lookout. The day I went, it was absolutely packed! The parking lot is relatively small so you might have to get lucky or circle around a few times when you visit.

It is not even comparable to the other chain stores in the area. They also have a good selection of sewing notions and sewing patterns. And wow they have a ton of puzzles!! It's so fun coming in here and seeing all the great things they have to offer. The lady cutting my fabric was very kind and gave me lots of good recommendations for my sewing project. The store had a lovely ambiance. I would highly recommend checking Ben Franklin out for your crafting needs!

I went to get some pop tape for a project. Not only was I shown the exact place to find it in, but also the one that would work best for my needs. The lady asked me what I wanted it for and went above and beyond by grabbing a piece of paper and showing me other ways to do it. What I had imagined to be too much work, seemed very simple after all, after the little demo from her. So thankful for this store and its employees!

The first time the installer came out, it quickly became evident that the draperies for two of the three rooms had been made 4 inches too short, and the roman shade had been made too wide to fit in the space (this is after they had been professionally measured by the installer). They were sent back and lengthened but one of the draperies was still an inch too short, and the roman shade had not been cut down, so these went back a second time to be redone - this was in October 2025. Since that time I was notified that the new drapery was in, but the roman shade is still not fixed and they don't have an ETA. I just called again to check status and the person I talked to was already so upset apparently by someone else's problems and frustration that as soon as I told her I was frustrated she started to cry because it isn't her fault. (It isn't her fault, but that doesn't solve my problem - and I was being firm but very polite.) She had to hang up the phone and said she'd call me back. The quality of the draperies that are installed is good - but here I am 7 months after I placed the order and they still haven't got it right. I don't know what's happening over there but I am beyond frustrated and will never recommend this store to anyone else.

I considered getting custom drapery from Calico and ended up going with a different vendor. I'm so glad we live in a world where concepts like this exist…read more I've never knitted or crochet, but I've recently picked up sewing and it's grown my appreciation and curiosity for hand crafting. Needles & Hooks is stocked with more yarn than I previously thought existed on planet earth. They have every color/pattern you could imagine and all the accessories to go along with it. I also love the art pieces scattered throughout the shop, giving it a whimsical feel. I truly couldn't pick a favorite.. but gun to my head? I loved the hand knitted frogs. Whether you're an experienced knitter or just looking to breathe in all the crafty air, this is a great place to spend your weekend. Needles and Hooks was just a nice as the last time I went. The yarn here is more expensive than a Michaels but most if not all yarn will have natural fibers. The person who helped me out is really nice and helped verify my yarn color choices. If you buy a hank of yarn, they'll offer to cake it. I've taken the offer before and it turns out nice. I didn't during this visit. There is a decent amount of people who come to knit on Thursdays but I was there to shop. Shopping during that hour is a bit less popular since people are crafting. Parking is great and I will still mourn the fact they had to move inside the mall from their spot outside with a nice window.

The staff was friendly and helped us understand the process of picking out a piece and painting it. There are also instructions on the wall on the steps you need to take to decorate your piece and there are labels everywhere to make sure you know what you're doing. When you first walk in, you pick a piece of pottery out to decorate/paint. There are a ton of items to select from including bowls, mugs figurines, and plates. I picked a little bowl to paint and pulled up my Pinterest board for inspiration. I went to go pick out my colors and they all had swatches on them with 1-3 coats of paint to show you how it looks when fired. They also have precision tip paint bottles (in the same selection as the regular paint) for little details and stamps. They provide you with assortment of paint brushes, decorated pieces for inspiration and different foam applicators for ombre looks. They also give you ceramic palettes and a water mug to clean off your paintbrushes. After you're done with decorating, you clean up your items and put them in the correct compartments for the staff to wash. Then you pay and they tell you when you can pick it up (usually within a week). There was only one staff member when we were there, but she was super helpful and kind. As we left around 6 PM on Friday, it got very busy.
