We bought chairs for outdoor games which were very good prices and they last a long time. They have reasonable prices for all your sporting needs. Mouth guards, basketballs, cups, bikes, hoops, sports clothing and more. The staff is always helpful when we need and they greet you as you walk in. We came here to compare prices for a hoop which we saw better elsewhere but overall, not bad.

I got the shoes, opened the REAX and they are worn, dirty and stained. There is white paint or something similar on the bottoms, on the side and top, there is what looks like splattered Cola or coffee. The laces are dirty and the inside of the shoe has fuzz and dirt. I IMMEDIATELY called the Manchester store and "Wayne" answered in the shoe department. He was 10,000% extremely unhelpful, rude and very off putting with his attitude. He blamed it on the delivery service I used, my response was they dont work for Academy, they are a delivery company. He then says well what do you want me to do about it? So I hung up and called to talk to a manager. The manager "James" was worse than the first guy, so apparently I was going to get no where with him either. So here I am, stuck with worn, dirty Nikes that I paid 100$ for! NEVER WILL I RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY NOR WILL I EVER SPEND ONE MORE CENT WITH THEM.....

The store is about the same footprint, maybe slightly bigger, than their Brentwood location. This store had just one level so it seemed like it had less product. Less product does not mean less enthusiasm. The employees I encountered were all friendly and helpful. Questions were being tossed around from customers while the employees were walking the store. And like my question, if they could not answer it they walked you over to the one that could. I look forward to seeing this store again after the opening to see how it settles in. St Louis seems to have a population that loves the great outdoors. This REI will help fill that need in the outlying county area.

Today I was here for one specific item, the YETI Rambler Tumbler Straw Lid - Medium. I could buy this a lot of places but I chose REI because I am a member and because I was going to the Whole Foods next door. I did a circle around the store just to see it and then found what I needed and got in line. The cashier was super friendly and got me to donate to whatever and gave me a sticker. Of course I'll be back!

It took multiple explanations to multiple people for them to even believe me that the product was broken. Their solution was for me to bring it back to the store. I told them I don't have a pickup truck and I'm one person so how am I going to do that (I ordered online from their store and it was delivered to me) They had no help and just told me to do it. So I'm stuck with this broken bike and if I want to return it I have to make a friend with a pickup truck or hire an outside person to help me return the damn thing EVEN WHEN IT BROKE WITHIN THEIR WARRANTY. The whole reason I bought from a local store was so I could try out the bike in store and hopefully it would be easier to return to a local store than Amazon. (They also only had 2 bikes to try in the ENTIRE store, making that a waste of a trip). I was wrong. Just order from Amazon, you can use their Pilot program to pickup your bike if it breaks. Here at Dick's (which should have better customer service) they live up to their name and suggest you figure it out and bring it back yourself, even if you're disabled, live alone, and don't have a pickup truck. Thank you for NOTHING Dick's Sporting Goods. I will never be back.

I called Trailhead Bicycles and asked about service packages, service appointments etc. The young gentleman I spoke to was Ian (sp), he was extremely helpful over the phone explaining the service procedures and timeframe for service completions available. We decided after talking to Ian to drop our bikes off that day for an evaluation. We expected to leave our bikes and pick-up two weeks later. Upon arrival, Ian met us and did a quick review of our bikes, assessed my gear malfunction, gave us price quotes etc. Due to the well kept condition of our bikes, Ian decided he could service our bikes right then. We were so surprised, not at all what we expected! Long story, Ian performed a thorough review and service of our bikes and had us out of there within an hour - not two weeks as expected! Ian provided us peace of mind about the condition and operation of our bikes, he assured us our bikes are in great condition and safe for us to hit the trails! We received excellent service from the helpful, kind and courteous staff at this location - highly recommend. We will definitely take our bikes back to Trailhead Bicycles for regular maintenance and service. 5 Stars *****

Highly recommend checking this place out! Excellent classes (and women only classes!). Buyers remorse. This is a great range, but I had a really poor purchase experience there. I bought…read morea new gun there and later found that it was jamming about 5% of the time. I brought it back in, and the guy at the counter tested the gun and said I need to be using 147 grain ammo. He said the problem was that I was using 115 and 124 grain ammo before. The first sales person didn't say anything about that, and I actually had purchased a 1000 round case of 115 grain ammo. I think there's something wrong with the gun because I did an Internet search and it said this gun has no problem with 115 grain ammo. I'm pretty sure there is something wrong with the gun and I have to use a hotter ammo to solve the malfunction. The original sales rep said if I have any problem with it just to bring it in and made it sound like they would take care of me. But the second guy who is extremely well spoken had me half convinced I need to use (more expensive) hotter ammo. I'm certain there's something wrong with the gun and now I have to call the manufacturer and deal with them. Update 6/27/25 (two months later): Shortly after my Google review was published, James, one of the managers reaches out to me. He apologizes about the employee that said I needed hotter ammo - he shouldn't have said that. He encourages me to bring the gun in and they take a look at it. Several of them shoot it, it works fine, but it jammed once while I was shooting it with them. They blame it on my grip; my grip is not tight enough so the slide can't operate properly. I'm thinking that can't be right -- I've worked with an instructor, a former professional competition shooter, and he taught me a proper two-handed thumbs-forward grip. I've shot all the major brand handguns, including high-end race guns like Staccatos, and I have never had a problem with jams. I insist my grip, while not pro-grade like these guys, is not the problem. I tell them I want to return the gun. I'm offered a meager trade-in, good for another gun or store credit. I expected they'd stand behind the product, as an authorized reseller for Canik, that they'd take it up with Canik, but they 'stuck to their guns' that the gun was fine, and they could not improve upon their offer. I decline their offer and say I'll send it to Canik. At this point, as if I had some really original idea to do so, THEY offer to send to Canik. Canik, who has a location in the US, still took the better part of two months to send it back to me (it felt like it was being sent off to Europe or something). Canik replaced the slide spring. I get it back, test it, it works fine. But by this time, I've lost my taste for Canik and this whole experience, so I want to trade it in, and get a gun that I've owned before and trust, a Smith & Wesson. I asked my point of contact there, Tyler, what it would cost after the trade-in and adding a red dot. I never did get a reply. I emailed Tyler and James a couple times, called a couple times, can't reach anyone. Ghosted. I feel that the way this should have gone down was that as soon as I had a claim the gun (under warranty), was defective, and if they were not able to fix it, that they should have offered to send it to the factory for repair. Rather than inconvenience and embarrass me, with claims I needed different ammo, or had a bad grip, they should have stood behind what they sold, and offered to get it resolved via the manufacturer. I will probably continue to tell people that The Range West is a top-notch gun range, but I would not recommend purchasing a gun there, as they don't seem to want to stand behind what they sell.
