Not busy Thursday at 5pm. Empty inside with no line. I didn't eat, but my coworker got the asada fries. Took about 10 minutes to come out. Came out fresh and hot. She loved it so much, she actually ate the same thing the day before for lunch -__- More people came in after 5:30, so they probably came straight from work. A line of maybe 7 or 8 formed, so the earlier you come for dinner, the less you'll have to wait. I've eaten here a lot in the past and would recommend the al pastor. Ordered for "pickup time 1:10" arrived closer to 1:35 and the scheduled time was 1:10-1:30 at latest. If you've never been here, they'll take time to explain the items on their menu if you're unsure. There's also a "salad bar" type of of area for condiments like salsas, onions, cilantro, and radish, so you can fill up to your taco's content! I took both my kids to eat here because working in the refineries we use to order from here often. Total was 46.00 for 2 cucumber mint lemonades and 2 loaded fries and 1 order of loaded nachos. To my surprises the plate was a lot smaller then what we usually picked up in the refinery so my son was able to finish all this nachos. The place is nice and clean. The waters are good and refreshing. It's located in a not the best area of carson in a shopping strip. Place is super spacious with a salsa bar that consisted of 3 different salsas, limes, cilantro, onions and pickled veggies. There was a mild green salsa, one red hot salsa and one green hot salsa all of which were okay. You don't get an initial kick with either of the hot salsas it takes awhile to kick in. The food came out really quick which is a plus and the workers were super friendly. I tried the carne asada and al pastor tacos, both of which did not have much flavor or seasoning and the salsa and additional add ons like guac, lime, onion and cilantro didn't help at all either. I'm so glad I tried this place - the only issue now is the constant craving to return! I have tried the al pastor, carnitas, and asada tacos - all were phenomenal. I love that the tacos come with just the meat on them - and that's really all they need. I often love my tacos loaded with all the toppings for flavor, but this meat is so flavorful that I solely put a pinch of onions and some green hot sauce on them and that's all I need. Great food here without the price tag - and that's hard to come by in LA. And heads up that they do Taco Tuesday - all tacos are $1! Came here on a Tuesday evening around 5pm with a friend. I ordered 2 tacos: 1 carne asada ($1.95) and 1 al pastor ($1). I'm guessing only certain meats are sold at a reduced price for Taco Tuesday. I was not a huge fan of the consistency of the tortillas, as they felt a little gummy. Based on the mural on the wall, they were handmade.. I just wish they were a bit less dough-y. As far as taste, they were pretty flavorful! I do echo other reviewers in that the meat was a bit tough, though. Overall, it's an okay stop if you're really craving tacos and are close by.
