Okay tacos and a bit pricey. Papis Tacos is located in the Enclave plaza. It's in a small single story building that shares space with other food stalls. This place caught my eye since I love tacos. You order through a tablet in front of the counter. I pressed print receipt but not sure where it printed or if it even printed the receipt. I got their 3 tacos combo with rice and beans ($16.95). I got 2 asadas and 1 al pastor. I like that they placed the tacos and rice and beans in a nice plastic tray, rather than place rice and beans in a separate foam bowl. The tacos were okay. I like that the they use two sheets of tortilla. Something felt off, maybe the texture or taste, which I thought the tacos were just okay. The beans were more towards watery soup-side. Their green and red sauces are great! They're actually spicy! I thought food was a bit expensive, but everything in the plaza is expensive, so it's understandable.

    Horchata - don't recommend...
    Lawring W.

Kind of disappointed in their horchata... It's too sweet for my liking and it has a powdery/floury texture to it :( I've never experienced that kind of texture in horchata before. It also wasn't filled up all the way, but at least it doesn't have ice in it. I would not recommend. I wonder how their food is though.

Located inside the Enclave food court in Harbor Gateway/Torrance. I ordered the 3-Taco Plate + pineapple agua fresca, total damage came out to $30. I chose: *2 crunchy quesa-birria with consomé *1 grilled shrimp taco with pineapple pico & chipotle mayo The plate also came with rice, beans, and red & green salsas. The birria was crispy, crunchy, and the beef + consomé were well-seasoned. The salsas added a flavorful punch. The shrimp taco was legit too -- plump, tender shrimp, cooked well, and the pineapple pico + chipotle mayo combo was a nice tropical smoky balance. That said... it's still a food court spot, and $30 for 3 tacos + sides is a tough sell. Flavor delivered, value did not. Bottom line: Solid execution on flavor. Just not worth $30 in this setting.

Yesterday had the Papi's Breakfast Burrito. And Shared this with a friend. We both said it was a solid burrito. And I wish I didn't share with him. It was really good I wanted it all. So good next time I go I want this again.

These Veggie Tacos made with nopales and mushrooms are quite delicious and super stuffed. I ordered 3 tacos which was more than enough for my lunch. https://yelp.to/EgiATo8BE0 It comes with a sprinkle of diced onions, chopped cilantro on top, lime wedges, and slices of radishes on the side. I also received two salsas. One salsa verde, and one spicy red one. Woo! Located in the food court area at The Enclave. I would easily order this again!

    Carne asada tacos

Horrible quality meat, full of fat, felt like ground beef, and was chunky and some it raw like in my photo.

In food court building. Seating inside or plenty outside but can get crowded during peaks.

I just wanted a lighter snack, so I got two ala cart tacos - one Birria & one shrimp. Both were good but didn't blow me away (4 of 5). Orange colored Hot sauce was flavorful but spiced me a bit and I only had the freebie water to cool the sting. Order buzzer lets you stroll or order food from other places.

Ambiance: the taco place is located in the middle of the food court Service: friendly and patient, although it took a while to get the food ready, everything is packed in the to-go containers even if for dine-in here, as accordingly to the staff they don't have the trays Food: standard taco menu, and you can make any three tacos combo served with red rice and beans AL PASTOR - *** regular pork taco, meat was too dry QUESA-BIRRIA WITH CONSOMMÉ - **** crispy taco with cheese, tasty beef, recommend BATTERED FISH WITH SLAW, SALSA MACHA & AVOCADO - *** soggy fish taco Price: moderate portions and acceptable quality, expect $25 per person

Papi's Tacos at the Enclave. 8/6/25

New at the Enclave in Torrance! Papi's Tacos is located in the interior food court area of the Enclave next to Faka's and across from Boba Break. Decided to order their namesake tacos to go. Chose vegetarian (mushroom), carne asada, and al pastor ones. The mushrooms tacos were meh and flavors didn't quite hit like my favorite vegan tacos in Long Beach and OC. Hubby liked the al pastor and carne asada tacos but was not wowed by them. Customer service was courteous and polite. Parking at the Enclave at midweek nonpeak hours was easy. There are plenty of open spaces as well as way back in the structure. I got an open space nearby. They are only a few months or so in biz so I would return and try other items on the menu. For now it's just 3 stars.

On my first visit, they were sold out...sad face. My second visit was successful. I ordered the taco plate. I chose to get a veggie, carne asada and birria. All three were absolutely delicious! That birria consommé was tasty, and yes, I finished that off as well. My third visit happened because a friend suggested I try the loaded nachos. Yes, go and try the loaded nachos. These visits happened within a two weeks span. Service was great and food was delish. Atmosphere at The Enclave is always great. Go give it try.

Today we had Sunday brunch at the Enclave and I tried out Papi's Tacos. They have a variety of Mexican dishes here. We ordered a taco combo plate with three tacos, rice and beans, a chicken quesadilla, and chips and guacamole. The food was fresh and tasty. They give you a pager and it beeps when your food is ready. The staff are friendly. As with most of the food venues here, the problem is limited seating given there's over 6 different places to eat and many large families eat here. There's ample parking behind the venue. The prices and portions are good. It was a very enjoyable meal. The tacos were like authentic LA street tacos.

Food was fantastic. I recommend getting there early before they sell out of things. All and all, we'll be back. The ordering kiosk was simple to use. The staff was helpful when we needed assistance. The overall vibe of the location was a bit more of a cafeteria hang out as there are many pieces to get food in one open space.

I've been here before, and the birria tacos were exactly what I needed for a late-night craving. Crispy on the outside with a good amount of filling and strong flavor - they really hit the spot. I ended up having four of them. The consomé on the side was really good too - rich and flavorful, almost something I could've just had on its own. The street tacos were solid. The carnitas had that tender, slightly crisp texture, and the al pastor added a bit more seasoning and contrast. Nothing overcomplicated, just straightforward and satisfying. Service was friendly, and the setup is quick and casual. In the South Bay where places tend to close early, it was nice that they were open until around 10pm. Overall, this is a no-frills taco spot where the focus is on the food. Easy choice when you're in the mood for tacos.

This review is about Tacos El Goloso, located at 1605 Pacific Coast Hwy, Harbor City, CA…read more My daughter is an EMT. While on duty, she stopped at this location and placed an order. Before her food was ready, she received an emergency call and had to leave immediately. That's the reality of being a first responder--when a call comes in, you leave immediately, no time to wait for your meal. Before leaving, she politely asked the cashier to cancel the order and refund her card. Instead of showing understanding or offering assistance, the cashier was dismissive and unhelpful. After completing the call, my daughter contacted the restaurant, apologized for the inconvenience, and again requested a refund. She was initially told that the receipt had been thrown away. Later, the receipt was apparently found, but she was then informed that if she wanted a refund--or even the food she had paid for--she would have to return to the location in person. The problem is that she lives more than an hour away and was only in the area because she was working. I called the following day in an attempt to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I was met with the same attitude. The employee refused to provide her name, refused to provide a manager's name, and refused to provide any contact information for someone who could address the complaint. To be clear, this is not about the cost of a meal. Had the employee been courteous, professional, or even remotely helpful, we likely would have let the matter go. Emergencies happen. Schedules change. We understand that. What prompted this review was not the lost food or the refund itself--it was the employee's rude attitude, lack of professionalism, and complete unwillingness to help resolve a simple customer service issue. I will also acknowledge that by the end of my phone call, I became frustrated and was not as polite as I should have been. I regret that. However, that frustration came only after repeated attempts to handle the situation respectfully and being met with rudeness and resistance at every turn. A business can recover from a mistake. What it cannot afford is employees who treat customers with contempt and then refuse to provide any way to contact management when a legitimate concern is raised. Management should be aware that this employee's behavior reflects poorly on the entire business. If this is how customers are treated when they encounter an unexpected emergency, then potential customers deserve to know before choosing to spend their money here.
