I think the price for what I got was okay. The three taco combo was meh. As soon as I opened it my first thought was, this is it? There were no sauces packed and I already left with my order. They didn't ask and they just handed it to me and that was it. Maybe they were busy, but didn't feel any customer service/hospitality feel from them which I noticed instantly and not a good vibe. read more

I love Mexican food and I go to Enclave weekly for lunch. Always saw this place and was curious and finally ordered Carne Asada Nachos. Visually it was ok... But taste wise... it lacked a lot... Carne asada was chewy where I had to spit it out many times... and greasy... it taseted like greasy dried meat... I was pretty disappointed over all... Maybe Carne Asada was not an ideal topping for nachos perhaps? Or Nachos are not their strong menu...? I want to try this place one more time maybe another menu in the future... read more

Pleasantly surprised by the this spot. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for some lunch with my family. We ordered on their little self help monitor and waited about 20 min. The Enclave was a little busy but they didn't seem too busy. We ordered a breakfast burrito, chicken torta, and chicken quesadilla. They we're all delicious but my favorite was the breakfast burrito. Everything came out hot and fresh. The tater tots in the burrito with the whole fried eggs, avocado, and their salsa was exactly what I was craving. I would probably get that every time. Seems like most bad reviews were with the carne asada so maybe stick to their chicken. It's a little on the salty side but I prefer a little extra seasoning than not enough. Prices are pretty reasonable as well. Hope you check it out and enjoy! read more

Okay tacos and a bit pricey. Papis Tacos is located in the Enclave plaza. It's in a small single story building that shares space with other food stalls. This place caught my eye since I love tacos. You order through a tablet in front of the counter. I pressed print receipt but not sure where it printed or if it even printed the receipt. I got their 3 tacos combo with rice and beans ($16.95). I got 2 asadas and 1 al pastor. I like that they placed the tacos and rice and beans in a nice plastic tray, rather than place rice and beans in a separate foam bowl. The tacos were okay. I like that the they use two sheets of tortilla. Something felt off, maybe the texture or taste, which I thought the tacos were just okay. The beans were more towards watery soup-side. Their green and red sauces are great! They're actually spicy! I thought food was a bit expensive, but everything in the plaza is expensive, so it's understandable. read more

Kind of disappointed in their horchata... It's too sweet for my liking and it has a powdery/floury texture to it :( I've never experienced that kind of texture in horchata before. It also wasn't filled up all the way, but at least it doesn't have ice in it. I would not recommend. I wonder how their food is though. read more

Located inside the Enclave food court in Harbor Gateway/Torrance. I ordered the 3-Taco Plate + pineapple agua fresca, total damage came out to $30. I chose: *2 crunchy quesa-birria with consomé *1 grilled shrimp taco with pineapple pico & chipotle mayo The plate also came with rice, beans, and red & green salsas. The birria was crispy, crunchy, and the beef + consomé were well-seasoned. The salsas added a flavorful punch. The shrimp taco was legit too -- plump, tender shrimp, cooked well, and the pineapple pico + chipotle mayo combo was a nice tropical smoky balance. That said... it's still a food court spot, and $30 for 3 tacos + sides is a tough sell. Flavor delivered, value did not. Bottom line: Solid execution on flavor. Just not worth $30 in this setting. read more

These Veggie Tacos made with nopales and mushrooms are quite delicious and super stuffed. I ordered 3 tacos which was more than enough for my lunch. https://yelp.to/EgiATo8BE0 It comes with a sprinkle of diced onions, chopped cilantro on top, lime wedges, and slices of radishes on the side. I also received two salsas. One salsa verde, and one spicy red one. Woo! Located in the food court area at The Enclave. I would easily order this again! read more

I had the carne asada nachos and was very disappointed. The beef was very dry and topped with shredded cheese that wasn't melted. There were less beans than chips and they were dry as well. The only thing I liked about the dish was that the chips were well seasoned. I wouldn't even pay $5 for these, let alone the $16+ I spent on them. read more

I just wanted a lighter snack, so I got two ala cart tacos - one Birria & one shrimp. Both were good but didn't blow me away (4 of 5). Orange colored Hot sauce was flavorful but spiced me a bit and I only had the freebie water to cool the sting. Order buzzer lets you stroll or order food from other places. read more

New at the Enclave in Torrance! Papi's Tacos is located in the interior food court area of the Enclave next to Faka's and across from Boba Break. Decided to order their namesake tacos to go. Chose vegetarian (mushroom), carne asada, and al pastor ones. The mushrooms tacos were meh and flavors didn't quite hit like my favorite vegan tacos in Long Beach and OC. Hubby liked the al pastor and carne asada tacos but was not wowed by them. Customer service was courteous and polite. Parking at the Enclave at midweek nonpeak hours was easy. There are plenty of open spaces as well as way back in the structure. I got an open space nearby. They are only a few months or so in biz so I would return and try other items on the menu. For now it's just 3 stars. read more

We stumbled upon this spot while visiting the Enclave and decided to give it a try. We ordered the carne asada fries, carne asada quesadilla, and chips & salsa. My friends and I shared all three items, and we enjoyed every single one! The fries were perfectly crispy and loaded with plenty of meat and toppings. The carne asada quesadilla was super cheesy and generously filled with flavorful meat. The chips were crunchy, and the salsa tasted fresh and delicious. You can order either at a kiosk or directly with an employee, which is convenient. Our food came out quickly and tasted amazing. On top of that, the customer service was great--the staff was friendly and welcoming. Definitely a spot we'd come back to! read more

On my first visit, they were sold out...sad face. My second visit was successful. I ordered the taco plate. I chose to get a veggie, carne asada and birria. All three were absolutely delicious! That birria consommé was tasty, and yes, I finished that off as well. My third visit happened because a friend suggested I try the loaded nachos. Yes, go and try the loaded nachos. These visits happened within a two weeks span. Service was great and food was delish. Atmosphere at The Enclave is always great. Go give it try. read more

Today we had Sunday brunch at the Enclave and I tried out Papi's Tacos. They have a variety of Mexican dishes here. We ordered a taco combo plate with three tacos, rice and beans, a chicken quesadilla, and chips and guacamole. The food was fresh and tasty. They give you a pager and it beeps when your food is ready. The staff are friendly. As with most of the food venues here, the problem is limited seating given there's over 6 different places to eat and many large families eat here. There's ample parking behind the venue. The prices and portions are good. It was a very enjoyable meal. The tacos were like authentic LA street tacos. read more

The tacos are great. The customer service is exceptional, and it's always clean and organized. A good place for a brunch date.

I tried this place for the first time. I got the bowl. It's pretty good. But I will not be returning because this place will charge you $1 for extra pico de gallo. And it's a small small container. Hence why I wanted another one. I declined to pay the $1 on principle. I will not be a repeat customer as I am not valued. read more

This is the restaurant I visit most often these days. Before I discovered this place, I didn't really enjoy tacos that much. But whenever I come to The Enclave, this spot is always my number one choice. The customer service is excellent, and the food is simply outstanding. The always warm welcome and the delicious smell of the food make me feel good. They are very generous with the ingredients, and everything is packed with flavor. I've recommended this place to many people I know, and every single one of them has been satisfied. I feel so lucky to have such delicious food so close to home. First time at Papi's Taco! Very trendy spot. The service was excellent. The food was (in my Mr. Food's voice) "Oh, so goooooood!" The atmosphere was party-like. Plenty of space, whether you choose to eat inside or outside. Definitely a yesssssss! read more

Papi’s Tacos - Chicken, Asada, Pollo Taco Plate. Rice & beans. Plated with limes, radishes and plenty of sauce. - Tacos Near Me - Torrance, California

Papi's Tacos delivered some seriously tasty tacos! I had two pollo tacos and one grilled shrimp taco topped with pineapple pico and chipotle mayo. The pollo was flavorful, juicy, and well-balanced with fresh onions and cilantro. But the shrimp taco stole the show--sweet, smoky, and creamy all at once. The pineapple pico and chipotle mayo combo was fire. The presentation was clean, and the lime and radish sides were a nice touch. Only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that I wish the tacos were just a bit bigger for the price. Still, super satisfying and I'll definitely be back to try more! read more

I've been to Papi's Tacos twice. The first time, I ordered the birria tacos, tacos de pollo, and a horchata. Everything was good--not bad at all--which made me want to come back and give it another try. I also really enjoyed the ambience. I like that there are other restaurants and businesses nearby, offering more food and dessert options. The second time, we ordered food to go. I got two Papi's Way carne asada burritos and more birria tacos. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the carne asada burritos--the meat was too fatty for my taste. However, the birria tacos were still good and consistent. I also tried the Jamaica drink with strawberry, which was really good and refreshing. Overall, the service was great, the atmosphere is nice, and while not everything was a hit for me, the birria tacos and drinks are definitely worth getting. read more

ALLERGY WARNING- the salsa macha that they use for their fish taco has PEANUTS in it, but you can ask for it on the side-- glad I asked! Ordered the 3 taco combo with the veggie, asada and pastor tacos. The veggie taco was the best out of the bunch! The mushroom nopales mix was so tasty-- I think I would order 3 of these next time. The salsa verde that they gave us with the tacos was very good too! I wouldn't order the carne asada- it was very dry and lacked flavor. The pastor was ok, but not very memorable. The beans and rice were nicely cooked, however they went too heavy on the salt. They need to cut back on the salt and then both dishes would be perfect. If I were at the Enclave already and craving Mexican, I would visit again, otherwise I'd go to other spots for Mexican food. read more

Amazing food and service. Al Pastor Burrito was top tier, came out so fast and was delicious. Also ambiance amazing too.

Love this place! A hidden gem in the Enclave, good portions, reasonably priced and the service is good.
