BEST service and delicious food & coffee. The strawberry smoothie is fantastic. One of the employees told me to add milk in mine and it was wonderful!! Love it here. Perfect to study, chat with a friend or just drop in. read more

I can't believe I paid $5.45 for two doughnuts!?!? I am proud that I raised my 14 year old son to realize a doughnut is just a doughnut. We stopped there with friends on the way to the ferry. They were out of what I wanted but I got something anyway. My son got a maple bar because that is his favorite. "It is just a doughnut" he informs me. I told him that he was correct. It was not a bad doughnut. It was as good as Winco or any other grocery store bakery. So, go for the experience, go because it is convenient, don't go for extraordinary doughnuts. read more

I ordered only a coffee here before the ferry; I enjoyed the coffee. However when I checked my credit-card bill they charged me almost three times the price of one cup of coffee. (!?!) I had retained the receipt so I called them and explained on the receipt it was listed that I only bought a coffee. I gave her the date and transaction number as listed on the receipt, and the woman who answered the phone said that she would VOID the purchase/charge. ... She never did. I've checked and re-checked my bills, statements, online accounts, and the transaction was never canceled. Be careful if you purchase anything here that they actually charge you for what you bought.. and that your single cup of coffee or single donut isn't $10 or $20 or whatever price they feel like charging. Now when I want coffee before the ferry, I go elsewhere. I cannot afford to pay for items that don't exist. read more

Great taste. Pretty coffee drinks. Good service. There may be a line during peak times, but they move it along well. They have deals on doughnuts bought after a certain hour. Recommend! read more

Friendly, hip atmosphere. The best donuts, great coffee, fair prices. Awesome staff. To top it off great choice in music, a bit of a view (from a second story) facing the sound and the historic architecture and character of Post Alley / Western beneath and surrounding it. Great high ceilings and lots of windows and light. Good seating and wifi. I have met a lot of cool and creative people here. One of Seattle's Best Caffé. read more

I REALLY LOVED THIS PLACE! The doughnuts were delicious and I loved the ambience. It it a greta way to start your day when you don't want a full on sit-down breakfast. read more

Continually on the lookout for the worlds best apple fritter I could not help but stop by Top Pot across from the ferry terminal to try their recommended apple fritter. It was good, in the top 10 of those I've tried. The flavor was a bit heavy on sugar rather than apple. The outside layer was about perfectly fried. The inside was a bit tough, this may be due to stopping by around 1pm. The americano was a bit light though very smooth. The staff was very nice and engaging. All in all, next time in town and I will certainly be open to stopping in at a Top Pot location. read more

Wow some of the best donuts I have ever had!! The Bavarian cream was the best donut ever! Nice dark chocolate icing and rich creamy inside the dough was perfectly moist! I'm in Seattle 3 more days and plan to stop each day! The pumpkin spice has the perfect amount of spice and is a perfect old fashioned! read more

I thought this place was way too overrated. Also, maybe because this isn't the "original" location. We got an old-fashion maple, which is standard but it was cold and tasted like it was pumped with artificial sugars. I thought the problem was that it more bready than I'm use to but no, I had better flavored donuts for a quarter of the price! read more

The manager was very rude to new customers. Not sure why he was having such had a bad day but he was so disagreeable that we won't ever be coming back to this donut place. Coffee was fair at best. read more

This place is busy and had less donut options in the afternoon. It does get crowded at around 6 am due to the ferry traffic of people going to and from the terminal. This location is unique and has large windows for people watching. Pick up a cup of coffee with that donut and you won't regret it. read more

Friendly service, quality donuts. $19 a dozen. My favorite is the Ovaltine Cream filled one. The Italian Sodas are a nice cool treat on a hot day read more

This place is...just wow. Imagine if a unicorn mated with a luck dragon and the resulting explosion rained down donuts from the heavens. Yeah, that good. Plus added bonus is the amazing man Adam who works there. He needs a raise ASAP for bringing that level of awesome to this place. read more

The best donuts in town! Yip I said it! The maple bars, old fashioned glazed and old fashion maple...yummy but oh the apple fritters have real apple! The people are friendly and you get a wonderfully fresh donut! read more

A lot of hype!! Top Pot, although a Seattle staple, is of course trying to become like every other Seattle trendy business...a chain. There are a lot better donuts in Seattle. I can find a better way to spend $2.50 on a under creamed Bavarian. My personal favorite those served at Victrola Coffee. Try the regular glazed, or the French Toast. If your heading on the ferry, and plan on stopping in Poulsbo, you can experience the best donuts in the region at Sluy's. People go near and far for these. Top pot could really take some of their ideas for Bavarian cream filled donuts. The reason I am giving Top Pot 3 stars, is because they are better than the average donut. read more

Donuts sold here didn't surprise us, but they are just as good as those normally sold elsewhere. read more

Donuts were great as all top pot donuts are. Sadly the barista was not so hot. I was on a tight schedule so I didn't have time for him to remake my Chai. I paid for soy milk and got 2%. Besides that the drinks were just bland and to be blunt, disgusting. Just go to Starbucks one store up. At least they are consistently okay. read more

I'm not a big review writer, but I felt Top Pot deserves a positive write up. First off the doughnuts are amazing! They are thick and doughy and the texture is so enjoyable! Everyone in the family tried a different pastry and we sampled each other's agreeing they were all fantastic! I had coffee with my chocolate bar and it was very good. Then the customer service came into play. I had taken my son to see a show in Seattle and he purchased a hat there; a hat you could only purchase through the tour. He doesn't usually wear hats so when he put it on his knee while eating it fell off and he didn't notice. He called the next day from home several hours away and found out they had his hat. They offered to send it to him and I emailed them a shipping label. 2 days later his hat arrived home and he is ecstatic. Thank you Top Pot for great treats and going the extra mile for us! read more

I am very disappointed with my service here. I order a double tall vanilla latte and the barista laughed, and I ordered a donut. She input my order and then came back to say "and it's a 12 oz latte, this isn't Starbucks". Okay. This was unacceptable. First, she understood what I meant, so was this response necessary? Second, I am a native Seattlite. The term has been used interchangably here for the entirety of my life, at least until today. Other coffee shops use it on their menus. I mentioned that to her, and she said, "okay, well we don't". Whether you agree with my terminology or not, incredibly rude service. Luckily there are lots of other places to go. read more

No vegan options? Get it together, Top Pot. You've been completely out classed by Voodoo Doughnuts.

One of the more disturbing and offensive customer service encounters I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. During a very slow afternoon, I stopped in and requested a quick and easy order of a single doughnut. Unfortunately, the associates on duty ensured the transaction was as disrespectful as possible. Bizarrely, Crystal refused to hand back my credit card to the extent that I literally had to lean forward over the counter in order to retrieve. When I voiced dismay, I received a snide "what? Do you want me to come bring it to you or something?" in reply as a well as dramatic and put-upon sighing. Fellow cashier/barista Joe contributed eye-rolling and chimes in with a dismissive, "we're done here." All I wanted was to pop in and out for a sweet! Quite disappointing as this location is in convenient proximity to my office and have never had an issue during morning coffee runs. Definitely don't feel comfortable returning and would caution others to stay away unless you want to potentially incur frankly disquieting behavior at this establishment while you're spending your money there. read more

Yummmy yummy yummy donuts!!! Awesome different flavors. Coffee was good too! Fast and friendly. Definitly will be back :)

If I could put zero stars I would. The coffee is decent but the staff is very rude. I had more than one bad experience. Last one, went at 5.50pm, they close at 6pm, and they were already closed inside, cleaning, they saw me and decided to ignore me. In FIVE words WORST SERVICE I EVER EXPERIENCED read more

Pretty standard donut today. Wasn't a huge selection in the late afternoon when I stopped in, so I got I think a raspberry donut. It was okay, a little dryish, didn't seem fresh, but not gross. Friendly staff, cool location, place seemed pretty clean. I pass by here once every few weeks on my way to an appointment and will likely stop by here and there, but nothing mind blowing going on. read more

I kept seeing some of these during my trip to Seattle so I decided to get a coffee here instead of going to the millions of Starbucks everywhere. Well guess its better to keep to your usual because it was a buck or so more expensive and smaller size but what really killed it is that my coffee tasted bad. And it was just a simple coffee. read more

I'm so bummed this was my first trip to Top Pot! We've been wanting to try it, but always walk by when it's closed, so we finally made it in yesterday...what a disappointment! They had 3, yes THREE, donuts in the case at 2:00pm, long before closing time. The buffoon of an employee didn't even look up from his phone (he was texting and leaning his bare arms on the glass case) to acknowledge us when we asked if this was their entire inventory. I will definitely try Top Pot again, but NEVER this location. What a joke. read more

Inconsistent. Went to this location a handful of times for coffee. Some of the staff is great, but others have an attitude. The service and quality of experience for this location really all depends on who is working that day... Good luck! read more

I came in and ordered a donut and a 16oz mocha. I was in a hurry to make the ferry on time. I ate my donut. That was very good so I ate it slow because I know the coffee would take 3-4 minutes. I ate my donut and he hadn't started my coffee yet. 6 minutes later I look over and see my coffee is ready. He then gave my a grunt and pointed at it like I'm holding up his day. I get my coffee and run to the boat. 10 minutes is to long when I was the only person in there the whole time. I get on the boat and finally taste my coffee. Hazelnut latte. I don't like hazelnut so I toss the drink. Waste of time and money. There are so many other coffee shops around I would think they would try harder. Maybe that is why I was the only one there. If I wasn't on a boat I would go get the right drink. $7.50 I'll never get back. read more

Meh. Like many things in Seattle, this place is overrated. Doughnuts here are ok. My favorite go to doughnut place is Aurora Doughnuts.

Just stopped in at the Top Pot Doughnuts on Western Ave and had a great cup of coffee and the delicious Hawk doughnut. As we were getting ready to leave the guys working offered us a box of doughnuts to "use for good not evil" and we couldn't resist. They bake them fresh daily and we didn't want them to go to waste! Great shop location and even better employees! read more

So delicious. I'm transitioning away from Starbucks and into Top Pot. I love this location. I take the ferry in (for now, moving to the hill next month) and everyone here is polite. I am far from talkative in the mornings, but even with my awkward quietness, the girls behind the counter are still super friendly. It doesn't take me long to get my drip coffee and sometimes a doughnut, which is not the case when you go to Starbucks half a block up. So over it and the service there gets worse each day, how did I not make the switch sooner?! Thank you top pot for being so awesome. read more

It was down the street from the hotel that we were staying at and it had an interesting name. We already had coffee from the hotel so we stopped by for a donut. Not your regular donut shop with trays upon trays of donuts. You can tell there handmade. Pricey for a donut. I tried the lemon old fashioned and my lady had a maple old fashioned. Both were tasty. There's quite a big menu with different coffees and pastries. It's in a great location if your catching the ferry. read more

Donuts are not fresh. Not what I was expecting. Great selection but again not the best :/
