Their square footage popcorn ceiling removal pricing was fair and outbid other local offers. They were transparent that popcorn ceiling removal is a very messy job and it would require me to vacate the premises during their projected work schedule. Some of the drywall repair work required extra labor due to discovery of poor workmanship from previous companies but was priced accordingly. There was also a supplier issue with defective protective materials that caused them to miss deadlines. Despite setbacks, they aimed to complete the project to no additional cost due to supplier issues. There were significant messes left behind but we worked together in the cleanup effort. They made sure to return anything removed during their work back to their original spots after completion. We've also regrettably discovered some floor damages that most likely occurred during popcorn ceiling removal efforts, but apologies were made and the flooring was patched prior to payment. Overall, I am happy with their work and would recommend them.

I interviewed a half dozen or so contractors prior to selecting Nico Pro Construction (NPC) to do my Dream Garage project. The usual criteria: conveyed competence, experience, estimate completeness, competitive pricing, timeline, and gut-feel, were all considered and evaluated. From the beginning, it was clear to me that NPC was a cut above the others. I especially appreciated that Nazariy, NPC's estimator, was also going to be the Project Manager. That in itself was huge to me, ensuring I wouldn't ever get the "he said, she said" game that is so often prevalent in construction projects. Throughout the project, Nazariy provided me with updated timelines keeping me "in the loop"; that was a big plus for me. And while we had our share of mostly weather related delays, I always knew where we were with the scope of work. As was the case with Nazariy, NPC's crew of workers performed their efforts with a solid sense of pride and regard for their work and my project. Sadly, that mindset is not as common place in construction as I remember it to be; NPC clearly exhibits the proprietary interest you want in your contractor. I was reminded of this with a couple of the subs who worked with us, as some of their efforts were lacking. When such incident arose however, Nazariy was always Johnny on the spot stepping up and stepping in to ensure all was righted. In the end, NPC successfully provided me with the Dream Garage I had envisioned. Needed to have two small closets painted before Tuesday, due to a closet design project that had suddenly been expedited. Came on to Yelp to see if I could find someone local, with good reviews, reasonable pricing, AND would be able to get the job done quickly. I knew it might take some time to find someone, especially since a lot of companies are closed over the weekend. Found a company that looked promising with tons of 5 star reviews and would be able to give me a quote online, without me having to call and talk to someone. Yelp was ready to send my request and asked if I wanted to send out requests to receive competing quotes. I clicked yes. Well, the company I originally messaged was closed over the weekend, so they didn't respond until Monday morning. But this company, Silver Cloud Painting, responded super fast! Teri was on top of it! She replied quickly and I was actually quite impressed at how responsive she was, especially on a Friday evening when most people don't want to be working. Loved Silver Cloud's positive Yelp reviews and could tell the company was knowledgeable in the area of painting. Found out it's a husband-wife team, which is pretty cool! Got all my questions answered and was glad to find out they would be available on Monday morning too! Teri even offered to drive out the next day (Sat/Sun) to show me paint samples. I was impressed that she would take the time to drive out on a weekend when the job was already set. I appreciated how she would take time out of her weekend to make sure we would have the paint colors we wanted. On Monday morning, they arrived right on time and worked tirelessly throughout the day.
