I had a great experience as a walk in the last time, so I thought I'd make an appointment when I needed a gel fill. I made an appointment, but I THOUGHT I was making it at another salon down the road. Ya know, the place where I actually had a great service. Since I had no time to spare, I kept the appointment that I made by mistake at Top Nail. How bad could it be? Well, I was hurried along because the woman who was doing my nails had another appointment waiting. Isn't that the point of an appointment? To get the time slot? The fill is too thick in spots. My nails aren't all shaped the same. The manicurist talked me into a pedi too. Two of my toenails are crooked. The second coat on one of my toes was missed completely. DO NOT GET YOUR LASHES DONE HERE! They take no accountability for their actions. I made the horrible mistake of getting the $30 lash set the day before leaving for vacation and suffered BIG time for it. The day I got them on, they were fine but the very next day I experienced a very uncomfortable feeling, woke up to mucus leaking from both eyes, tightness on both upper lids, redness, swelling, itchy, irritated. My poor luck I was already in the city headed to my flight. I tried everything to get them off and had no luck with that either. About 4 days of my vacation was spent miserable with the hardened lashes on. I had to wear sun glasses to hide the swelling in both eyes. It literally looked like someone punched me repeatedly in both eyes. I finally got them off by steaming them excessively and rubbing them repeatedly with some oil. The strange thing is I have had the lashes on before from this very same place and never had a problem so this experience came as a complete surprise. I stopped in today to talk to the front desk lady Paula and basically she apologized but suggested that there was something about me that caused the discomfort. Like possibly an allergic reaction to the glue or something. I still believe it was how they were applied or a different glue than had been used before. But she said impossible cause they use the same glue as always for the last 7 years.. The bottom line do NOT get your lashes done at a Nail Salon that wont even consider that it was their negligence in some kind of way. These people dont care what happens to you after they get your money. I was outright refused a refund due to their policy. To add insult to injury the lady Angela who did the lashes for me laughed about my bad experience it as if it was a joke. Dont give these people your hard earned money. Im suffering still with this and the lashes were removed days ago. Im on antibiotics and regret ever going to them. With all the shops in this area. Top Nail should never be an option. Literally the worst place to get your nails done. I went a few days ago and got a full set of acrylics, the guy doing my nails was super aggressive and did not consider the pain he was causing on my very short natural nails. he got the brush too wet when doing the actual acrylics and the acrylic kept sliding off my nails, I don't know how he even managed to get them to keep their shape because they kept melting. He also kept saying that because my nails were so short that my acrylics had to be very short (not my style. i like them decently long) immediately after leaving the store, I went home and gently scratched myself and one of my nails split in two. i went back and a woman who was much more gentle and seemed to know what she was doing started fixing the nail and then THE SAME GUY came and told me he was fixing it. Really?! Not only that but when I was getting the whole set done he didn't push my cuticles down at all so my nails look like they're grown in already even though I got them done on Thursday.... Today, two of my nails came right off. I'm getting so pissed off with the quality of these nails. For being called "Top Nail" you would think they would be good. Wrong. Other small things happened like a younger boy maybe 13 or 14 who obviously had some relation to the guy doing my nails kept coming up and shoving him while he was doing my nails. Also, there was at least 40 people in the shop when I went back, every work station was filled. Definitely not within coronavirus regulations. Please don't waste your money here. I went here with my sister as a treat for her and me before her graduation and I regret it. The lady who was doing my nails for some reason was spazzing out because the lady who did my sisters nails was done before me. Why? I have no clue. My sister is smaller than me and has smaller hands and feet maybe? Idk. But she definitely made it sound like she was blaming and angry at me, weird. Then she started cutting it half-assed and square and I asked her to round it out and she flipped out again, saying, "you don't have long nails do I don't have much to work with!!" (Duh, she just cut them) Over and over. Boss lady came over and told her to round it out and she should've asked me before rushing through and trying to take a short cut to cut time. Lol. Next she started complaining again about how my nails are taking such a long time, I finally said to her, "well if you don't wanna finish the job I can go ask the manager to get somebody else to do it." She stopped complaining for a few mins,... THEN she lost the bottle of nail polish!!! I had to pick another color for my fingernails than my toes. Then she tried to blame me, saying "maybe I should play back the cameras to see if somebody took it..." SMH. Lastly she was done painting and was gonna send me on my way but I was like, it's gonna smudge if I leave with them wet...she said, "oh yes for a perfectionist like you, you should come over to the fan and wait till they dry." 1 star is generous. For a $35 half-assed mani pedi done by this lady who was honestly stressing me out at this place where I was going as a treat for my sister and myself, def not worth it. I have gone to this place twice this year and I am not impressed with their service. Both times I felt rushed and was badgered into getting some type of service that I did not need. The salon was full to capacity and the tech's were cold. I had a gel fill done and wanted to change the shape of my nails in which the tech was not pleased to do . I wanted an almond shape nails and she gave me oval, I told her that this is not what I wanted and said "This is what it is and that she was a professional and I was not" until I whipped out my phone and showed her what almond shape nails look like, Let say that the interaction with her was not pretty and so did my nails. They were pricey and I was not happy. Also, the tech was pissed that I did not tip her. I told her " bad service, fresh mouth.. Nancy gave me a pedicure and manicure and recommended additional services that would make my experience better. Men routinely feel like outsiders at nail salons,but Top Naiil employees made me feel welcome. The owner stopped over to introduce herself during my manicure and was very genuine and warm. I only go to this business when I'm desperate. I feel like they herd customers in like cattle. The pedicures are horrible (it's just them removing your nail polish, rinsing your feet, a slight foot rub, and then nail polish). The last acrylic manicure I had was so horrible that I told the boss that I was not going to pay. They hurried up and found someone to correct the problem. Day before Prom my daughter had an appointment at a different salon and after a softball game we showed up and was told we didn't have an appointment. Frantic I prayed and drove around asking God to guide me to a place open. I showed up at Top Nail they had two customer left it was 9:20 the owner asked what we needed my daughter explained our situation and the owner and her staff were sympathetic to my daughter and stayed to do her nails/toes. This place is by far the most friendliest and professional place around. My daughter was so happy with her nails it made me cry. The biggest blessing was a customer who was there heard my daughters story and paid forward $40 dollars towards her nails. Thank you to that women and God for providing me this blessing. Very disappointed! I made an appointment for 9 o'clock am. I wanted to get pedicure and manicure but, I usi ally get wax and eyebrows but, I told Jenny over the phone the day before my appointment just pedicure and manicure. When Helen saw me the first thing she told me I had an appointment at 10' o clock and she wouldnt had time for my pedicure. I don't think it is fair if I made an appointment day before. Helen told me it is not her problem she can't do it. She did try at least to work with me. What kind of business will let you go if the customer is there In front of you. I go to Top Nails to only get my eyebrows done by Pasai. Today I thought it would be convenient since I had an appointment with Pasai to get a pedicure and manicure. It was the worst service ive ever had. I told the owner but she did not care and said next use certain people. I paid but I didnt want too. I don't recommend this place. I was going to this place for several years. Their products are very cheap , they rush through your nails and my nails started to chip and break very easily . The woman doing my feet was on her cell phone not paying me much mind and cut my toe. Thee staff is rude to the customers as well as each other. They don't seem to like each other and it shows. This place is unsanitary And unprofessional. My first experience there was OK, but the second was bad. The man who did my nails could not paint for the life of him. There were streaks on all of my nails. My third time there will be my last. I came in for a simple manicure. I was told to pick out my color and wait. Eight people came in after me and were taken before me. They do not take you in the order of your arrival they take you in order of how much money you're spending. The salon has been remodel recently with brand new pedicure chairs using single use disposable liners for each client. New drying tables, new customers chairs that are very comfortable. Most importantly, they use disposable files, buffer and pumice stone for each client for the manicure and pedicure. Very nice and clean salon, friendly staffs. Highly recommended. sloppy lazy work. got acrylics and my nails aren't even filed straight. he kept putting acrylic on, letting it slop off onto the table and then tried to fix the mess. my manicurist was using clearly old sticky nail polish and didnt paint down the sides. there visible bubbles and theres a hair painted into one of my nails. he couldn't be bothered to push my cuticles back either so i paid 40 bucks for nails that look a week old. read more
