I have been going here for a couple years at least and have been pleased with the results. My gel nails have lasted 3 + weeks on multiple occasions and staff demeanor is usually pleasant enough. However, I had a different experience this last time and don't think I will be back. They were busy, but I did call for an appointment. Consequently, the process felt VERY rushed and the manicurist cut several of my cuticles to the point of drawing blood. One, is still tender and sore after a few days. I've been getting my nails done forever and I know this is not acceptable. I'm disappointed to have to write this. If the experience had just been rushed, I would've not commented, but the multiple cuticle cuts crossed the line for me. read more

Planned a vow renewal over the weekend, and booked an appointment several days in advance. When my MIL, SIL, and spouse showed up they were made to wait. They were 10 min early for their appointment, and didn't begin until well after the time we had scheduled. In addition, they refused to accommodate the party and do more than we had planned. They wanted to do a full workup and they did not allow that, as they had some walk ins that wanted the same thing. They were unwilling to budge and be flexible, and instead left the party very upset and angry before a major event. We were incredibly disappointed in the service, customer service, and the prioritization of the business. My friends and I went in and asked for normal acrylic nails. The lady at the desk said great and told us to choose from the selected colors in front of her, which we did. Acrylic nails are $25. The lady tricked us into choosing only gel colors, when that is not what we asked for. Our nails ended up costing $50+ without us realizing what they were doing. They speak in their native tongue and laugh openly about the customer but make NO attempt to be able to understand you or be able to talk to you. The worst pedicure I've ever had. The "youngish" guy w lots of tattoos and a horrible attitude needs to be fired. He didn't put separators on my toes, leaving my nails wrinkled. He also left sloppy globs of polish elsewhere around my toes. He literally PUNCHED my toes down with his fist instead of using his words to tell me to shift my feet. My polish was not meant to be matte, but looks it bc he did such a shoddy job. The woman next to me was horrified at how he spoke to me, not acceptable for any reason. After paying $100 for my Mani pedi, I will be having to remove this mess and go find someone else in town who can give me a decent pedi. Will NEVER be back here, which is too bad bc the other man is nice and does a nice job. read more

I go here frequently for all of my pedis. On Monday I had a mani pedi with Ann and highly recommend her! She did a fabulous job and was caring and attentive. There was no wait on Monday morning but call ahead and request her! Her husband also works here. I did not give a 5* rating because once I had a man who was a bit rough yet another man who gentle and good. The staff changes frequently. Also sometimes I get right in and sometimes they ask me to return. Understandable. Also the $40 mani/pedi is the most affordable around. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! my last visit, I left here feeling like I had just been physically and verbally assaulted. I had 2 bloody fingers and gel nail polish ALL over my hands not even just my fingers.. was getting a mani/pedi -the gentleman who did my toes usually always does my nails and an amazing job, which is why I've been coming back for years.. but while this was being done an angry woman forced me hold my arms ABOVE my shoulders throughout the entire "manicure" and turned my massage chair off, nothing about my visit was relaxing. not to mention she kept messing up her own work bc of the akward position my arms were in. Nails were bumpy and way too thick (did I also mention bloody from the cuticle removing?) they chipped within the day. even though the pedicure was finished, she insisted on standing there while I was visibly extremely uncomfortable. throughout the "manicure" she and the younger man doing a pedicure next to me kept pointing at my friend and I 2 FEET IN FRONT OUR FACES and rolling their eyes and telling jokes mid-finger point. I understand being frustrated bc you're busy and tired of dealing with customers but you have lost 3 frequent local customers that tip generously for good. I will tell everyone I know about this experience. will be driving to silverthorne or breckenridge even though I live 300 ft from top nails. read more

It's a large place with lots of workers so not much wait time. But I ended up spending $20 on a manicure that took her 15 minutes, hardly any cuticle work, lame hand massage; the extra $5 was to remove shallack. I told her it was the most expensive manicure I've ever had (I live in SF Bay Area) and she told me to read the price sheet next time I come. There won't be a next time. Most salons waive that fee when you pay for another manicure. read more

Terrible pedicure. My feet were more rough after I left than when I got there. Their price was $37 for a basic pedicure. I pay $25 for basic back home and my feet are as smooth as a babies when I leave. Plus, after the guy got started he told me the polish I chose would be $3 extra. Who charges extra for regular polish?? $40 back home would have gotten me pure luxury...the opposite of what I got at this salon. read more

They did an okay job - they rushed through the shellac manicure and some of my nails feel a little rough/have ridges. She was very eager to make sure I was happy with the color that I selected, but in the end it still wasn't quite what I asked for. I've definitely had much better, but also much worse. We (daughter/Mom) used to go here regularly. We tried it again after a couple years. What a disappointment. If you want a good manicure, you have to pay extra now. We got Pedi's too, and our feet were horrible after just a couple days. Had we asked for a better pedicure, we would have had to pay an extra $10. I went to Denver and had to get everything redone, which they did an awesome job, and I got it all for one price. Sorry this place doesn't do what it used to. People are friendly, but, paying extra for good isn't fair to the customer. We'll try somewhere else when the need arises. read more

Two of my girlfriends and I made an appointment to come in while we were in Breckenridge for the week because all the local places were crazy expensive. We showed up (early) with an extra gal and they were accommodating even though they were very busy. Two weeks later and my shellac/gel mani hasn't started to peel or remotely chip. Honestly, one of the best I've ever gotten. I also was "that girl" who brought in a pinterest photo (like an ombre/fading gold glitter on top of a nude color) and she did it, no problem, and did such a great job. We'll definitely be back every time we're in Breck. Great prices, too. I would have given it 5 stars if the decor/ atmosphere was more attractive. read more

Top Nails has new owner and management, so if you tried the old business understand it is way better. Mimi the manager is wonderful. Very friendly and does a great job. Forget the old Top Nails and give the new owners a try you will not be disappointed. I also stop going to the old one I gave them another shot and it paid off. read more

I had a pretty disappointing experience at this salon. I only treat myself to gel nails about twice a year. This year I wanted a cute design for my nails during Christmas. I'm pretty good at doing my own nails and get pretty crafty with the designs, so when I do pay to have my nails done I typically want a design I cannot master on my own. I chose my gel colors from old fake nail wheels that sit in a plastic tray. Not a great color selection for gel, but I find colors I like. As soon as a sit down with the nail tech I show her a picture of the nail design I want. She nods and says okay. Manicure was going fine until the part of the design comes and she tells me they don't have the gold color, would I like silver? No, I want gold. Then she manages to find a comparable gold color. Cool. Then she tells me she can't do the design I want. After I already have a red color on and all that's left is the design. I was pissed. She ended up doing the gold glitter over the red color. Which would be cute if I was 10 years old. That fact that she waited until the very end to tell me she couldn't do it, after saying she could in the beginning, was hugely disappointing. A nail design I could've easily done at home for free. The only reason for 2 stars is my gel manicure did last almost 3 weeks, too bad I hated what they looked like. Will never go back. read more

So just a little bit of context: I travel a lot for work and recently my Visa was stolen so not only have I been a little wary but my new card hadn't arrived so I was only traveling with my business card and my Amex. I called this salon to ask if they had time for a Shellac manicure and if they take Amex. After clarifying specifically "American Express" not once but twice she said yes so I said I'd pop by in 15 minutes. Showed up and they rushed me through a Shellac manicure. Normally, even at a quick nail spa like this they spend a good 20 minutes. This manicure took no more than 12-15 minutes because I quickly found out they were techincally closing. I wasn't too bothered by it even though. The manicure is not bad but she rushed so quickly through it that one of the nails didn't quite finish enough so now it has more of a matte finish instead of a shiny gel finish which is kind of what I paid for. Also a little bizarre that someone would charge you $35 whether they spend 30 or 15 minutes.I get up to pay and the guy at the counter tells me they don't take Amex. I spend the next two minutes trying to explain to them that I had expliclity called to ask about it. He looks bewildered and doesn't seem to understand that using my company card for a manicure is hardly acceptable. I try and do some quick funds transfering but my bank isn't going to really move much faster than 15-20 minutes. I am unarguably pretty upset at this point because they start throwing a bunch of excuses at me about how it's not their problem and all the while, the woman who talked to me on the phone is hiding in the back. I finally concede and use my company card which really, at a strict company, could get me fired so needless to say, I am visibly upset. Here's where it gets really awesome. Both of the manicurists including the one that worked on me actually start using profanities at me and suggesting that me using my company card is a problem between me and my company which sure, it could be argued that that is the case, but more importantly - I called. I called and confirmed and they said they took Amex. I had actually turned down two salons before going to them because the salons told me they don't take Amex. Bottom line, charged for a subpar manicure, straight out lied to, then had curse words used on me as I tried to pay. AWESOME job. read more

The female manicurist that was called out from the back to do my polish had a HUGE WART on her right hand in between her index finger and thumb. It was open and red and absolutely disgusting. I am sure it is against the health codes to work in this profession with an open and contagious virus on your hand. I should call the health department! I will never go back, and I will spread the word about the wart. read more

I arrived at Top Nails and was tempted to leave but needed to get my nails done. The place was not as clean as I would like and decor severely lacking. Employees not busy were just hanging out... They could have been cleaning. I was directed to pedicure chair and the person who performed gel pedicure was wearing a dress with her legs spread wide... Heterosexual man may have liked but I was totally grossed out... Plus, my gel manicure was performed by another person at the same time on a pillow placed on my belly as the pedicure was being conducted. I believe person giving pedicure was in training because person giving manicure kept giving directions in an Asian language I didn't understand. The pedicure did not include a thorough soak but kept both feet out of warm water for most of the pedicure. Results were imperfect. I saw that this place wasn't rated very high but couldn't get booked on short notice anywhere else... WARNING.... DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!! read more
