A friend of a friend referred this Salon and April as my color / stylist. The salon was clean, April was a joy and my color was perfect. I can even add the price was very reasonable. Thank you. read more

The worst cut and color I have ever gotten. A child have cut my hair better. I asked for a 1/2 inch trim and she took like 5-6 inches off. There are strands that she completely missed and left long all over and cut the strands then cut strands around my face that are even shorter like curtain bangs almost. I asked for a balayage with natural dirty blonde highlights and she did thick, chunky, messy highlights that are not the same on either side of my head. The color is like very very light yellow and my hair is very damaged and thin and sticky. She offered to have me come in and have it toned but I'd have to be crazy to let her touch my hair again. read more

April explains everything she cuts while working on your hair, so you will know exactly what she is doing. Still, I reserve one star because I had to trim a few uncut hairs that did not lay right after I styled the cut at home. Bottomline, I thought it was a solid cut but she didn't check the end product as thoroughly as I would have preferred. Despite that, I would gladly return because April is delightful, easy to work with, and desires to please the customer. read more

April did such a terrific job with my hair! I'm in the area visiting family for the holidays and was overdue for a cut and touch up on my highlights and roots. After reading her other reviews here, it was a no brainer to call. She answered and was very kind, helpful, and booked me an appointment. My hair was in dire need of some care and a refresh and she made it look and feel amazing - thank you so much! She is incredibly talented, her passion and genuine care radiate as she shared her story with me and about her career, and she was a delight to chat with about life, work, motherhood, adventures, things to do in the area, and everything in between during my appointment. The salon is very clean and welcoming, too, which was comforting. Whether you live in the area or are visiting, I highly recommend April's salon! read more

Have you ever thought to yourself, I should fly to NYC for a great haircut at someplace like Bumble & Bumble but don't have $300 for the flight and $200 for the haircut. Now you do not have to. April gave me one of the best haircuts I have every received. She listened to both what I wanted and what was best for my hair and face shape. I could not believe how great my hair looked and is starting to grow out. Then I learned she trained at Bumble & Bumble in NYC. Travel to Frisco for a great haircut, not NYC! read more

If u want your hair pulled out go to this place. I asked several times for her to not pull my hair out when brushing. I came home to several, several strands only a few inches long. Not to mention however much was yanked out. I had very long beautiful thick hair. Cannot stress how horrible the brushing practices being done here are. read more

I had my hair done by April and it was an outstanding experience. It was my first cut and color experience with COVID and they followed all protocols and it was a safe experience. Beyond that April transformed my yellowing blonde hair into the beautiful, shorter dirty blonde look I was looking for. She was meticulous when picking out my color and ensuring I got the result I was looking for. I get compliments on my hair all the time!!! Furthermore, April was so great to talk to and she gave me great tips as a new resident of Summit County. I'm lucky I found my go-to salon and hairstylist on my first try here! I recommend First Impressions if you live here or if you're just visiting. read more

April does such an amazing job with blending my highlights just the way I like them. Also last time I got my haircut in a short style and it came out just the way I wanted it to look. Thanks April!!! read more

April ruined my hair. I went to this salon for almost 10 years. When my regular stylist moved away, I booked an appointment with April, which I regret. I was in for a partial highlight and haircut. My previous stylist took care in the integrity of my hair and my hair was very healthy. Half way into the highlight foils I noticed April pulling my hair all the way to the ends even though we discussed just doing the roots as done before with my previous stylist. After the foils were in they began to heat up and my head was sweating. This never happened before with any other stylist and I hadn't changed my routine or medication . I showed deep concern but she did not rinse my hair out until much later. The texture and health of my hair was immediately damaged (the color was very yellow and blotchy) and continued to break off months after April highlighted it. I was not happy with how she overprocessed my hair and asked for my money back, she did grant me the money from the appointment however I am still living with constant breakage when before I had very healthy full long hair. I do not recommend her. If this can happen to me, it can happen to you. read more

My first appointment was fantastic. They use Bumble & Bumble products. My favorite! My next appointment, 3 months later, with a different woman, not so much. She asked me to straight iron my own bangs cause she didn't want to burn me. I appreciate her concern, but I had never been asked to do my own hair while paying for a highlight and style. I had also been quoted at 80$ for highlights - but when we were done, she said "how about 90$ instead of 100$ sound" - hmmmm I'll be back because I love the products they use, but will be hoping for a different woman next time. read more

I made an appointment to have my hair done while vacationing in Frisco. JoAnn did a beautiful job and offered me tea. I highly recommend this friendly and pretty salon with skylights and big windows on this quiet side street off of Main. Bonus: log home museum across the street, and easy, free parking. read more

Lisa does a great cut and color. Her head massages are wonderful as mentioned by others. She listens to what you want and my hair is curly so a challenge. Cozy friendly atmosphere. Have not used April but hear good things about her also. She knows her straighteners. read more

Their services are great. I get my eyebrows waxed here and the lady really takes her time to make sure everything looks good. I've also gotten great hair cuts. My only issue (and the reason I did four stars instead of five) is that it's impossible to get them to call you back in a reasonable amount of time to actually get in to the salon :( read more

My daughter and I walked in and we were lucky Joanne was free. MY daughter loved her cut and was extremely pleased. I was next and Joanne listened and took her time to give me the cut I asked for. Great place, we will return for sure! read more

I found this little shop through yelp. I was a walk in and the three ladies in the shop were very eager to help me, that was very calming! I told the ladies I was in town on vacation that I would like my nails done and a hair color touch up with a cut. Because they wanted to be able to help me the ladies chose to split my services up between them. One lady did my nails and did a beautiful job! Joanne did my hair. At the shop my hair looked great, she cut my hair and did a root color touch up with just a few foil highlights. When she checked me out though I was a little shocked at the price. She rang me up through the computer for 35.00 and told me that was for my nails and then she did a few things on her iPad and turned it around and told me it would be $145.00! I thought oh well that better have been the best hairdo of my life and I paid that bill! They do wonderful nails and the atmosphere is very comfortable there. read more

I chose this salon from Yelp, but unfortunately did not have the positive experience other reviewers did. I received a horrible haircut here, one that months later I am still trying to fix. I was going for a short cut for the summer and the stylist cut my hair very unevenly, then overtexturized my hair leaving holes in my hair, making my once thick hair look thin and sad. I had to go get the cut fixed as much as possible two days after visiting this salon. It was a bummer all around, as I live close to this salon and was hoping to love it. I would not recommend this salon, well at least not if you want a short cut or if you typically get your hair texturized. I hate to leave a bad review, but do feel the need to warn others! The owner was wonderful in responding to my post. Called me and was very apologetic. I would consider going back to have my hair done by the owner. I also received a full refund. Great customer service. read more

I have been a fan of First Impressions for over three years. I first started seeing Rosie for aesthetician services and she is just awesome! She is very detail oriented and that shows in the quality of her work. Two years ago, I decided to have April start doing my cuts and colors after chatting with many women about their great cut or color. I heard April at First Impressions mentioned over and over. Again, April cares about the quality of her work and balancing that with what the client is requesting. She really takes the time to listen and get to know her clients. Tara is awesome, too! read more

Go see Allie! I've been in the county 4+ years and I'm so happy I finally found a hair stylist who listens and gets me! Thanks so much Allie Martens! She's amazing at long layers, color and balayage! read more

I was a walk in during the summer on a warm Thursday. Didn't know if they would be able to take me for a haircut and style, but Joann was called and within 5 minutes, she was back at the salon. She listened to what I wanted and did a great job. She is very friendly and I want to take her back to Austin to cut and style my hair every month. Or, maybe the best thing is to leave hot Austin and come up here each month. Love her!!!!!!! read more

Great and unassuming place (smaller and just off main street in Frisco). Ive been going for nearly 2 years and Terah, one of the stylists, is one of the few people that can 'manage' the 'weird' shape of my head with extraordinary outcomes! Terah is a miracle worker! read more

I got a haircut in Brighton before heading up to the mountains for a wedding. Well to say the least my haircut was butchered! Lisa took one look and knew what needed to be done. Not only did she fix Wich we thought was unfixable, she made it look great. Will definitely come back. Ask for Lisa she is a great stylist!!!!!! Thanks again Lisa read more
