This place honestly sucks, I came in to get my acrylic set off . I usally go to summit spa nails in silverthrone and when I do go, they always soak my nails and the use a nail drill to take off the access . My friend and I came to Frisco nail to get our acrylics off thinking it's as simple as summit spa. The lady that took mine off didn't even think about soaking my nails or anything. She grabs a fake acrylic nail and starts using the side of it to get under my fake nail. Literally the worst experience I've ever had with getting my nails off. You don't use a fake nail to just rip underneath your fake acrylic to get it off . The guy my friend had literally soaked her nails and used the nail drill. So i don't even understand why my process was completely different. They also charged me $18 dollars just to take my nails off . Which is ridiculous because they also charge an extra $2 if you have card. read more

I've never had a pedicure where they spent this little time and attention on me. For $38+ tip I expected the "standard" manicure where they spend time on your entire foot including heals. Not recommended for a relaxing experience; English is sparse. Men who work there are lurking around, facility dirty. They do dips as if it were ten years ago. Completely unfriendly--and I've been there a handful of times. It's awkward and uncomfortable. To top it off, they didn't tell me the credit card machine was "broken" even though I arrived early. I would have rescheduled. Instead they insisted I pay with Zelle, ATM, or Venmo. Sorry, didn't have it. Left my name and number, but they literally (the guy with glasses) yelled at me; said they didn't trust me. Oh, and the older woman who did the dip, did a very poor job. So... to start, I booked the appointment with a friend for dip powder nails - 2 appointments at the same time. We arrived and were given 1 nail tech for the two of us. If you've ever gotten dip, you know it's time consuming to take off, file down, etc. you don't want to take turns with one nail tech for 2 people! The tech was an older woman and she was sooo rough. Filed my skin right off my finger. She had zero idea of how to properly file down a nail and was completely obtuse to how much pressure she was putting on my cuticles and skin. They flipped my friend around to 2 other techs, one who was horrible (my friend had to complain he was so rough - older guy) and then transferred to another man, who was much gentler, thankfully. Back to me, the older lady was so awful at doing nails it's almost laughable. No one speaks English here, which is fine, I'm from DC and that's very common in nail salons, however they don't even know basic words like "round shape" verses "square shape", things you should be able to communicate in the industry! In the end, my nails are misshapen, the dip powder is lumpy and thick and the experience was terrifying. Frisco has other choices and I strongly encourage you to go ANYWHERE else but here!!! I'd pass. Save the money. The dude that I had was really fast but did not know how to paint nails unfortunately. I politely asked him to fix the cuticles as the paint by them was super rigid. He got pretty sassy with me then but did begrudgingly fix it. When I left I noticed one had a minor chip in it and my nails are super sticky (I got gel). He tried to tell me that it is impossible to have an even coating around the cuticle. Makes me wonder if the staff has received proper training and is licensed. Only certification I saw was a woman's name on the wall and no women were working there. I looked it up online and apparently sticky gel nails happen with some brands when the polish is not set appropriately. Wish me luck. I'm going to try to fix it myself until I can get home and get a redo my trusted manicurist at home. read more

Much better places close by, I'd explore others first. I was taken right in for a pedicure, however, my service provider was changed out a few minutes into service. Water was cold, even though I told them I like it hot. New provider was very young man that was very timid, so massage was less than satisfactory, I told him to use more pressure, but don't think he understood. I paid extra for callus removal, but my feet still rough, nothing like I'd expect for the additional fee. To top it off, they no longer accept Venmo for payments and now charge an additional $2 fee for a credit card. Experience in other salons in town have been much, much better. read more

While we have tolerated this because it is a convenient location, today they turned us away because we were 10 minutes late to the appointment due to traffic. While being late puts me on edge, I knew there was nothing I could do about it, but I didn't expect the nail salon who makes their customers wait time and time again, even with an appointment, to turn us away for being merely a few minutes late. One visit and my nails are DESTROYED. I have had dip/powder nails for over a year, they usually last at least 2-3 weeks and never chip. I had dip/powder done here and they made it three days, by a week they were all chipped. I went in to have the dip taken off and they sanded it off so much my nails are thin and brittle. My nails are ruined after a $50 service and now I have to spend more money buying nail repair. read more

I have been getting acrylics for about 3 years now and this was by far the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a salon. I was there for 2 full hours and my nails turned out horrible. I asked the lady to fix a few things throughout the process and she had a horrible attitude about anything I asked for. When they were done I paid and left, went home and looked at my nails and was so disappointed. Absolute WORST salon experience. I had an appointment at 1:30pm for a pedicure. They finally took me at 2:15. I chose the deluxe service ($48) and brought my own shellac polish. He spent maybe 20 minutes with me. I still had dry peeling skin on my feet and toes. Polish was uneven and at the end I was charged $68 since it was gel polish...that I brought with me. Honestly, I'd give 0 stars if I could. I don't normally write negative reviews about places, but I'm honestly baffled at how bad our experience was. It took me a couple days to write because I had to make sure it wasn't a bad dream or a hallucination I had because of the altitude. The experience was a mess from start to finish. Three of my friends and I were in town for one of the girl's wedding. She made an appointment on the phone for 5 manicures and a pedicure, but the woman she spoke to kept ignoring her request for a pedicure. We called back later to add another pedicure and they said they had no record of a pedicure. We were told the pedicures were added. When we arrived for our appointment, the entire staff acted like we weren't supposed to be there and like our business was an inconvenience even though our appointment was very clearly listed in the appointment book. They tried to separate us for the pedicures and did separate us for our manicures. The bride chose a pedicure that included a massage, and apparently that means hitting her legs with a fist so hard that I could here him making contact across the spa. He then came over to do my pedicure. He barely spoke to me and didn't use cuticle remover gel. Three of my toes bled. However, about two minutes into my manicure, he asked me if my hair was real. (I have colorful hair.) When I said yes, he seemed pleasantly surprised and then started asking me questions about myself. When I mentioned the city I lived in, he began talking about gang violence and said the N-word to me while sharing racist sentiments three times, even though I expressed that I didn't agree and that I was uncomfortable with the conversation. He later told me that I had "hairy arms like a strong man." To top off the experience, I had a nail chip within a day and got a hang nail within two days. They made 3/4 of us bleed on more than one finger/and or toe. Two of us have chips and one of the girls who got gel nails has an entire nail's worth of polish gone already. I had the trifecta of terrible experiences. And... I'm usually one to not bother reviewing businesses I have bad experiences with. But this was spectacular. 1. I made an appointment for later in the day, 2. about 10 min in (80 minutes before posted closing hours) a woman walks in, lovely black woman with very dark skin. Polite, considerate, asking to do a walk-in... manicure. We make small talk for a moment... meanwhile 3. the manicurist hasn't heard a word I said about sensitive cuticles that are very dry and need some care and attention and is shredding my cuticles to bleeding ribbons while telling me what the problems with my "too thin cuticles". Keeps being annoyed and non-conversational that my fingers are now bleeding as the cuts and trims my cuticles very deep and hastily. 4. Potential client, black lady then hears back after a smattering of multilingual refusal "come back tomorrow, we are going to close early". She says... "but I work during the day, is there no way to squeeze me in as a walk-in?" Still keeping very polite they tell her to maybe come back some other time. 5. She leaves disheartened. I give my manicurist a funny look and she makes some excuses about wanting to close early... it's pretty clear she knows turning away that customer was weird. So I ask about it. 6. My now bleeding fingers were cut so deeply the manicurist first had to put pressure and then have me hold my hand above my head. Eventually had to close the cuts up with nail glue and she's clearly annoyed that I'm still bleeding but she works awkwardly through a cursory hand massage. 7. It's just a few minutes later and a white couple comes in, also asking for a walk-in manicure. 8. My manicurist asks me to wash my hands in the sink because the bleeding is still going. She then douses my hands in rubbing alcohol. (Here's when the nail glue to close the cuts comes in. 9. She paints the nail polish on top and tells me to sit in the chair by the window to dry. 10. At no point do they look like they're closing early. 11. At no point is there much of any kind of polite conversation with me. At every step she blames me for how my cuticles are the problem. Until the very end, where her apology felt pretty weak and then she ignored me. In the end, I tipped the smallest amount I ever have at even a mediocre nail salon. The basic manicure, $23 AND it was terrible with a side of racist overtones on Juneteenth. I'm so disappointed. read more

If you're seeing the previously positive reviews, disregard. Frisco Nail in previous ownership under Simon was a great facility. It turns out it was sold and new management is not up to par. I had an appointment at 5pm for a mani/pedi and didn't leave the salon until 8 due to waiting before and between. It was busy and all of the technicians looked overworked and I could tell they were low on supplies. Not worth the wait for a crappy, rushed (even though I had an appt and waited), OVERPAID job. Beware, new management has also raised prices and it doesn't line up with service! I was a frequent customer and used to recommend it to everyone but will now be looking for a new salon so long as Frisco Nail is being ran this poorly. read more

Myself and 2 friends decided to get our nails done here. We stopped in and made an appointment for the following day. One lady had a pedicure, and she was the most pleased; not the best she's had not the worst. My other friend had a manicure, she picked out a gel color upon arriving, her nail technician told her the color was too light/ sheer and she needed to pick another color, she did and the gentleman ( nail tech)decided to go with his own choice. It looked like a 3rd grader painted her nails- there was polish all over her cuticles. I got a fill, the job was fine ( ok) but they charged me $45.00 for a fill! I've been to this place for at least on and off 10 years or so. I've been a walk-in on occasion, but lately try to make an appointment so I hope to not sit there forever. This is the third time I've made an appointment, and no one was available to do my nails. I approached nicely to one woman doing a pedicure and asked her if anyone was available to take me at my 11:30 appointment. I had already waited 15 minutes and another woman in English said it would be 20-25 minutes. I could tell it was going to be much longer, so I told them I was leaving. They started laughing, thinking it was funny. I said, some people do have schedules and they have no regard for other's people's time. I was apart of a smaller bridal party coming to get our nails done the day before the wedding. The bride called, made appointments and confirmed we would be arriving. We get there, and the second we walk in it is very clear they do not want us there. We were made to feel extremely unwelcome, and like we were wasting their time. They barely talked to us, did not ask what we wanted. We then waited over 45 minutes for our pedicures to start (the ones we made an appt. for). During the pedicures they made it very clear they did not want to do our nails, and had us all panicking it wasn't going to happen the entire time. (Keep in mind the wedding was the next day and they KNEW that). Fast forward, we finally make it to the nail chair. My nail tech answered his phone FIVE times. Leaving me to sit and stare at the wall for a good 5-10 minutes each time. As if that's not unprofessional enough... Every. Single. One. Of us came out bleeding. I have gotten my nails done for YEARS and have never seen so many cuts at once. Not only was I bleeding, he tried to hide it...and pretend it didn't happen. After that fiasco he cut my nails WAY too short without asking me, and changed the shape. (Not a huge deal, but after everything else I was on the verge of tears...with bloody cuticles). Once I was done, I walked up to pay. (I noticed the price he told me was WAY more than what their price list stated...by a good 40 dollars). I then realized he was "up-charging" me. By this point I was so uncomfortable, upset, and exhausted I just paid, and left. Well, my friends were still in the salon to pay. My lovely nail tech proceeded to scream/announce to the whole building that I was a horrible person and did not tip, all the while pointing at me outside...well needless to say my friends didn't tip either. Long story short, if you love rude, unprofessional, unfriendly, and downright weird staff? This is your place! However, if that's not the case? Made a reservation for a 6 person bridal party. Showed up and they had way overbooked themselves. All of us took about 2 hours, they seemed rushed and irritated we were there. The bride picked light orange color and the color she got was incorrect, about the shade of a traffic cone. When she asked them about it, the man said the color would fade and then here was nothing else he could do about it. The same man did my nails and asked where I was from. I said denver and he looks at me and goes "you look Chinese though". I said I am Chinese. He asked if I spoke Chinese and when I said no, he proceeded to ask me very invasive questions. I was definitely surprised when I walked out of the salon. Being in the middle of nowhere in the mountains I expected honestly a horrible job. My friend and I came out of the spa feeling like a brand new woman! Both of our nail technicians took their time on making sure each and every piece of our nail was perfect. This included getting underneath your acrylic nail along with also making sure the cuticle was perfect. They are priced reasonably and most of them know fluent English. The one thing I did not like about the spa is they did not offer stickers for acrylics. I got a whole site done within 45 minutes and I have no regrets. read more
