My husband and I came across this toy store and we're blown away of the vision and mission the owner Sarge and his beautiful daughter Eden have. We feel that we were brought here by God's will. Not only do you get amazing toys for the kids at a very reasonable price but also Anime action figures as well. One of the greatest blessings for us was to discover this gem of a store that gives out to the community. Sarge is an amazing person and blessed us with the story of his mission but also gifted my son and husband with a Brett Favre Funko doll and my son who has autism a sensory Pikachu pop toy. We'll definitely be back and will be referring our family to help support this store.

Everything is reasonably priced and comparable to the main supplier or bigger stores. Definitely stop in if you want a local hometown toy store feel.

Uts appointment only, so when you set up an appointment you know you have 100% attention from employees who care. This isn't just another comic book shop, its a community. The support, advice, and knowledge I've gained as a member has been worth more than I've paid without question.

Like many people, I was initially surprised when Horizon Comics changed from a traditional walk-in…read morecomic shop to a membership-based subscription model. Change isn't always easy, and I understand why some people were disappointed. That said, I think many of the recent one-star reviews are really reactions to the business model changing rather than the quality of the service itself. As someone who became a member, I can honestly say the experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The level of customer service has increased dramatically. The owners know what I collect, communicate with me regularly, help me track down books I'm looking for, and provide a level of personalized service that simply wasn't possible under the old model. The membership tiers are flexible, and the entry-level option costs about the same as buying a couple of comics each month. For collectors, that's an incredible value considering the tailored service you receive. Will this model be for everyone? No, and that's okay. If you're someone who just wants to walk into a store, grab a comic, and leave with minimal interaction, there are other comic shops in the Antelope Valley and countless online retailers that can meet that need. But if you're a serious collector who values personalized recommendations, pull list management, and owners who genuinely invest in helping you build your collection, Horizon Comics has created something special. In an era when brick-and-mortar comic shops are struggling to survive, they've chosen to differentiate themselves by focusing on customer relationships rather than trying to compete with online discount retailers. For me, the change has been a huge improvement, and I wholeheartedly recommend at least looking into one of the membership options. I'm glad I made the switch, and I hope this approach helps keep a great local comic shop thriving for years to come.

Lucky for her, we were able to locate the last NeeDoh ice cube for $3.99. We were excited about the price because anywhere else they priced them at triple amount which I find it so insane. My son bought a small airplane toy and I had to get a Lake Arrowhead magnet for my fridge. Love the prices on those too. Total came to about $13 for all three items which isn't too bad. There were so many toys within the store though. It was a bit overwhelming, but lots of cool stuff. Some toys were pricey and some at reasonable prices. Very entertaining for my kids to browse around. Service was excellent and looking forward to next year visit.

I was trying to buy squishy needles for my two teenage children, who are only 13 and 14 years old. She refused to sell them to us because, according to her, they were "not kids." The way she handled the situation was unnecessary and made both of my children feel embarrassed, disappointed, and angry. Afterward, I called the store manager to share my concerns and provide feedback. Unfortunately, I felt that the manager didn't seem to care about my point of view or the fact that the interaction had hurt my family's feelings. The way we were treated left me feeling unwelcome. While I can't know the reason for how we were treated, the experience made me wonder whether bias played a role, and it left me feeling as though we may have been treated differently because of our race. No customer should leave a store feeling that way. I am without words after reading other reviews here, that totally make sense on our experience at this store. It is sad to see that my family and I are not the first and definitely not the last people that would have this type of experience at this store. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this store, and I hope management takes customer service and respectful treatment of all customers more seriously.
